Any help would be very apriciated
Sory about the bad english, I'm brazilian

This isnt the first time I have read about this problem.  I dont think it happens with EVERY MacBook Air though.  I know I certainly dont have this problem with mine.  Are you using a headset earphones, with volume up/down, and play/pause button?  If so, it may be the tiny chipset inside that controller that may not be getting along well with your Air.  If it is JUST a set of headphones with no controls, make sure all your software on your Air is completely up to date.  Sounds like it is some sort of driver issue either way.

  • Macbook Air isn't recognizing USB

Hi, I'm using a Macbook Air.
So I've decided to chang my old PC to this. Importing pictures through USB was fine for the first and second time plugging it. But the third time, I couldnt find the USB device in the Finder. This was a few months back and I still couldnt find the answer to it.
Today I plugged in my camera and it wasnt there in the finder as well but I found out that it is plugged in and i could import pictures through iPhoto. But the problem is, nothing is being recognized through finder, especially the USB. But when I plugged in the iPod, it works through iTunes.
    Help me please?
    Thanks

I plugged in the iPod yesterday and it still works, right now it doesnt come up in my Finder, but it does come up in the iTunes. I think there's something wrong with the Finder. Please help.

  • My Macbook Air isn't recognizing my HP Deskjet F4480?

So I had this problem before. When I was trying to connect my printer to the computer for the first time using a USB cable, it wasn't even recognizing that the cable was connected. I took it to a One to One personal training session for help and the first thing the printer did when I turned the computer on was recognize my printer. I've moved into a dorm room since so the printer was disconnected to my mac for a little while but when I went to print off an assignment, this started up again.
I tried restarting my computer. I've checked all the connections. I've even plugged other USB devices in and my mac can read them all just fine, but whenever I plug in my printer it won't even recognize and if I try to print it says that the deskjet is disconnected. Anybody know how to fix this?

  • Macbook Pro (Retina) not recognizing USB devices?

I'm having some odd troubles with my Macbook Pro that I haven't had before.
I have an iLok that's not being recognized by the computer so I can't start up Pro Tools; however, when I tested the iLok on my sister's Macbook Air, it was recognized fine on iLok.com's tests (that also proved not to work with my Macbook).
I also have an Anker 4 port USB hub (not external-powered) that was running my Intellimouse by Microsoft perfectly fine until I shut down my computer last night and turned it on this morning to try it out.
Strangely, the mouse works directly on the USB port, but won't when attached to the hub anymore. The hub worked with another device but my ILok doesn't get recognized on my Macbook through it either (or any of the 2 ports directly either).
I tried an SMC reset (ctrl+shift+opn+power) and a PRAM reset (cmd+opn+P+R on power-on), but everything is still haywire.
I might have installed some updates last night, I can't exactly remember but vaguely can recollect a dialog box from the App Store.
What can I do to really resolve this issue? Is anybody else having something of this sort happening?

Just wondering if you ever found a solution.  My mbp retina is not finding my iLok 1.  No green light. Max 5 won't authorize.

Well, if you did then you may be able to track it, if you did not it's not possible.

  • I have a macbook air that is running 10.6.8 and it will not connect to my 4s that is running ios 6.1.3 and apple is telling me that the two aren't compatible?  The air wont recognize the phone when it is plugged in through USB.  So am i just screwed?

Im just wondering if this is the case?  it just doesnt make any sense to me.  These aren't two very old products so it just seems to strange.

I'm baffled.  The current iTunes (11.0.4) runs on OS X 10.6.8.  If I were you, I would download the current iTunes:
    iTunes 11.0.4
... and see if that solves your issue.
... but note your MacBook Air late 2010 can run Mountain Lion, so that would undoubtedly solve the problem for you, whether or not simply loading iTunes does.

  • External HArd Drive not recognized by MAcBook Air

    Hi,
I bought an external hard drive(from LaCie) few months ago and plugged it once to my Macbook Air. I tried to plug it again last month and my MacBook Air didn't recognize it. I also tried to plug it in a PC and not recognized as well.
I've been told to check in the disk utility folder and to format (erase) my hard drive in order to have it running again, but even in the disk utility, hard drive is not recognized.
If anyone had the same problem before, i'd be gratefull of some help.
    Many thanks

what lacie hard drive did you buy?
some hard drives require power supplies. if your hard drive requires one make sure it's firmly connect at both ends. If you haven't done so try another outlet. Also some lacie hard drives have a 3 mode switch on the back. make sure it's set to on, if your hard drive has a switch.
Some of the lacies hard drives have a blue button on the front. try another cable. see if the hard drive shows up as a USB device.

I just got a new macbook air (older version).  I updated all the software and it says there is no camera recognized.

  • My apple bluetooth mouse is not being recognized by my macbook air - and it was yesterday!

My apple bluetooth mouse was working perfectly with my macbook air until I had to change the batteries.  Now it is not discoverable and I really can't operate without a mouse.  I tried another logitech usb mouse and that was not discoverable either.  Please help!

Today, when I turned on my iMac, neither my bluetooth mouse or keyboard were recognized. I had to connect my old USB keyboard-mouse to type this message.
And yes, I restarted my iMac, didn't help.
    Can someone help?
PS: Barry, "resetting SMC" doesn't help

  • Problem Beats earphone and macbook air Yosemite

    Hello,
First of all, please excuse my quite bad english...
I've a problem with my beats earphones and my macbook air mid-2013 since i installed public beta yosemite. Sounds buttons on the earphones don't increase or decrease sound on the macbook air... They did, when i was on Maverick, and they do on my macbook 13" early 2011... I thought that the final release of Yosemite could solve the problem but it does not.
Does anyone have the same problem ?
    Thanks.

  • Mail stopped recognizing my gmail and other, non-iCloud, accounts.  Anyone else have this problem?  No issue with the same software installed on my MacBook Air.

Mid morning, before Christmas, my iMac stopped downloading all mail from gmail and my personal domain. Only the me.com account is still functioning.  Thankfully I am able to access my mail on my MacBook Air but would like to get the problem resolved on my main computer.  Has anyone else had this problem?

    Hi Susan,
Can you loginto gMail's Webmail in a browser using the same login credentials?
In Mail's Window Menu, choose Connection Doctor, any red dots for status, if so what is the message?
Then click the Show Details button & Check again.
    Gmail send but not receive...
Here are two steps that have come in handy in related situations
    1) login to gmail on your computer or device via a web browser
    2) once logged in successfully, go to this URL to unlock:
    https://www.google.com/accounts/DisplayUnlockCaptch
The Password rejection can confuse people since it's a catch all meaning...
This Password, Username, Authentication method... is not recognized on this Port to this Server, or a server end problem.
If using a browser to login via WebMail works it's not Name or Password, but one of the other ones.
    The receiving email ports are:
    IMAP is port 143
    IMAP-SSL is port 993
    POP is port 110
    POP-SSL is port 995
    Outgoing ports are...
SMTP and SMTP-SSL is on ports 25, 587 and 465. Port 587 has to be SSL, and port 465 is enforced TLS-wrapped and is generally used by Outlook users.
