My iMac g5 starts up , responds slow, freezes after approx. 2 minutes, then upper fan starts running high and loud. Any ideas on what could be wrong? Worth fixing?
Could be over-heating. Try cleaning out the air vents.

charles altmanReplying to my own post - heh. I downloaded iExplorer (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/) which allowed me access to the files on the phone and there was the phantom movie in the DCIM folder. Deleted it, and all is well - although I still have 0.65gb of Other in iTunes.....

Help is greatly appreciated!Glad it's not just me. I have D-Link and TP-Link routers set up in the same or a similar way. My iPads, iPods and Windows laptops all show a single SSID and switch between them happily. My new 13" Air was showing two networks (2 SSIDs) and wireless was patchy at best. I changed one router to be N only and that improved things somewhat, but still loosing the network. In order to see which router was being used I altered the SSID of one. The "N-only" router is giving the best coverage with a strong signal - but then it just drops out and the wireless icon shows "Searching". Turning wifi off then back on fixes the connection.
When it comes to internet browsing my iPad 2 is significantly faster than the Air.
I'm also having trouble keeping or attaining connections to my Windows shares, drop-out, even when I still have internet connectivity. -
I did have a WiFi that was working but since Friday I can not connect to my WiFi or my Bluetooth. My wife with the same phone model, version and programs work fine. Do I remove the broadband and re-establish it again? Do I need a new SIMM unit? I am stumped because it normally a simple thing to do.
de1stbigmac, This is definitely strange, indeed! Let's figure this out. Have you installed any new applications or software to the phone since Friday, when this began? Have you tried to restart your Wifi Router? What error messages do you receive when trying to connect? We'll do all we can to help.

Photobooth camera freezes everytime I record a video and then stop. It also does not save the video.
If restarting your Mac does not correct the problem, reinstall OS X.

I cannot find any reference to this sort of activity by Firefox on your website. It is an '.exe' program location and McAfee warns me that "Hackers can use programs to steal your personal information or hijack your PC".
Can you please confirm that these incoming connections are legitimate Firefox activity, and if so please explain what they are, why they are required by Firefox and why there appears to be no reference to this activity on your website. Many thanks.Hi Cor-el,

No, unfortunately McAfee does not give any more detail as to the origin of these incoming connections - is there a way to find out from McAfee?
I would have thought that Mozilla Firefox should have the answers, but I have been unable to find any reference to this issue on their website, Help section etc.
Could it be the way my Options are configured? - although I've not changed them from the Default settings as far as I can remember.

i used the trial run before but i purchased all the apps for 20.00 a month now. when i download it onto my computer it continues to tell me my trial has expired. i uninstalled the programs and then reinstalled them but it still says "trial expired" any ideas on what i can do? i payed already

Just bought a new 4th gen iPod Shuffle for my kid. Problem is I cannot do the initial set up, as the device does not show up on iTunes on my PC. Also the charging does not light up. Any ideas on what could be wrong, as I am able to see both my iphone and iPad on iTunes using the same PC?
I also tried manually underlining a few things on the new iPad and when highlighting a paragraph, it would skip a few lines and the line would go through a few as well. Looks like a major iBooks glitch needs to be addressed here.

Lightroom 5.6 - "Please connect to the internet and retry" - I am connected!

I'm going berserk with the validation of Lightroom serial number -- after I input the serial number, although I have no problem with my internet connection, it keeps putting me on the "Please connect to the internet and retry" screen.
I tried going through the steps to just activate offline, but I have not clue how to get the Request Code, since there isn't a link that says "I cannot connect to the internet" or "Having trouble connecting to the internet".
Has anyone else experienced the Adobe validator telling you you're offline when, in fact, you are online? I'm at a loss as to what to do here.

Connecting the internet and an already existing network
I currently have a system set up using a 24 port linksys switch. All the computers go into this port including the server ran by windows 2000 server. I just recently got the internet at my business (T-1 Isp-XO) I have it set up where i just attatched a linksys wireless router to the modem and am using the internet on my laptop(put the info my isp told me to under static ip in the router i already tried dhcp or whatever that one that automatically obtains the ip is and it didnt work so static was required). What I would like to do is beable to hook up to the internet and the network on my laptop through the wireless router. All these computers in the switch are in the same network. Now heres where I have encountered the problem i just recently got a T-1 internet connection. I have a laptop which i also just got so i hooked in a wireless router to the modem of this T-1 connection. The wireless router and switch at the moment are completely separate meaning the computers attached to the switch are apart of the network but not the internet. Now the router attached to the modem can only access the internet and thats it sense its not connected to the switch. What I want to do is be able to access the network and the internet at the same time through the wireless router. So I tried to take one of the open ports of the switch and put it into the 1st port of the wireless router. When i did this all i could still get was the internet. When i disconnected the wireless adaptor on my laptop and reconnected I got the network which all the computers connected into the switch get. So I called Linksys they told me that the problem was that the router and the server of the network were assigning ips so both couldnt work at the same time. This is where I am at right now I dont know how to fix this or even what to do they told me to turn off the dhcp on the router which i tried to do but the router stopped responding and i couldnt even connect to the router.

I have been using firefox for years. I downloaded the latest version and at the conclusion of the down load I was refussed access to the internet. Something about Proxy???? I checked my firewalls and security and they said that mozilla was allowed but everytime I attempt to gain access I am refused. I cant access the internet and I cant download another program to access the internet. I uninstalled Firefox and attempted to reinstall but after uninstalling Firefox I have no means to reinstall because there are no traces of it on my computer and I no longer have access to the internet. What do I do? I cant access my e mails, stored messages, favorites etc etc.
No. After I select "Choose" the dialog box expands to provide only three choices. This is a new bug. I have only seen it in the past week or so, but it is maddening. I have observed that, while the Mozilla Foundation focuses on trivialities like which search engine should be the default, the Firefox application becomes buggier and buggier. Most of my family has switched to Chrome, and I will be following shortly. Firefox used to be a great program. Not any more. Getting assistance with a problem has also become very difficult.
