Change your router channel. Sometimes this is all you will have to do.
Power cycling the router. Read the router's user manual or contact their tech support for instructions.
System Preferences/Internet & Network/Network
Unlock the padlock
Locations: Automatic
Highlight Airport
Click the Assist Me button
In the popup window click the Diagnostic button.
System Preferences/Network- Unlock padlock. Highlight Airport. Network Name-select your name. Click on the Advanced button. Airport/Preferred Networks-delete all that is not your network.
Place a check mark next to "Remember networks this computer has joined." Click the OK button and lock the padlock. Restart your computer.

No internet connection (wireless)
Check to see if an extra entry is present in the DNS Tab for your wireless connection (System Preferences/Network/Airport/Advanced/DNS).
Delete all extra entries that you find.
Place a check mark next to "Remember networks this computer has joined."

HT204291 I can connect to the apple TV but I am not getting display only sound with my IMAC mid 2011 and MAC Air 2012 both with Mountain Lion OS

I just upgraded to Mountain Lion after purchasing Apple TV yesterday from Best Buy.
I have signed in on the same wi-fi network (comcast 30mbps)
I was able to see photos from my wifes Iphone but not my IMac or Mac Air
Both computers connect but I am only getting audio.
I updated software on Apple TV
I shut everything down and reset my router. My Mac Air 13" 2012 was able to see the desk top but not anything that I was doing and then it disconnected.
I also tested the internet speed on the Apple TV but it just told me it was finished. (no results)

WEP as a security measure is laughable nowadays. Even a kindergarten kid with a netbook can crack the password in a few minutes. Try using WPA2 if available on the device. And the Macs will be quite happy connecting with that protocol.

TS1398 I have connected my iPad 2 to my Mac Air over blue tooth. Booth say they are connected to each other. But I can not access the internet on the IPAD. I can connect over blue tooth from my iPhone to my iPad with no issue. Any thoughts? Thank you

Yes I tried this manyfold. But did not work. Reading on, I took Tesserac's advice. Shut down router and computer.
Start router after 15 minutes and wait another 10 minutes before starting the computer.
Et voila.... everything is back in working order,

I am running 4.0 version, and each time I open Firefox, I get a software update that says "Downloading Firefox / connecting to the update server", but it just STICKS there??? Why is this happening?

I am running Firefox 4.0 version, but for some reason, it tries to download updates and then gets stuck on trying to connect to the update server. This has been happening the past few days. When I close the update, I can proceed in Firefox without incident (that I know of).

I cant connect to my Photosmart C6180 wirelessly. its connected to the net work but I cant see it.

I am having trouble connecting my printer wirelessly to my laptop. I have it hooked up to my desk top and it works just fine. I have ran a wireless test and everything comes back good with no issues. The printer is hooked to the wireless network but when I try to find it on my laptop wirelessly it won't find the printer. I have tried unintalling and reinstalling as well as doing a soft restart on the printer (Pressing the 6 & #). I have tried putting the IP address in trying to find it that was as well buy the laptop just cant seem to see the printer. Im sure its an easy fix and Im overlooking something. Any Ideas to fixing it.

Hello jwmoss, If there is an issue with update or permissions the better and easiest way is to download and install firefox:
1. Download a copy of the latest firefox from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
2. '''''Trash''''' the current Firefox application to do a clean install.
3. Install the version that you have downloaded.
Do not select to remove your personal data, your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks or other personal data.

If you search for it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right) does that find it ? If not then try a reset to see if you can then install it via the Purchased tab in the App Store app after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Apple TV not connecting to the net

I had my Apple TV connected to my Airport Extreme (Fast Ethernet) wirelessly, out of the blue it stopped syncing with iTunes and would not connect to the net (no You Tube or film trailers).
I tried to plug in a Ethernet cable to my MacBook (IP address is assigned by DHCP and my MacBook connects to the net wirelessly) and it has since started syncing but still would not connect to the internet.
I tried a factory reset from info I found on the Apple site. My Apple TV reverted back to version 1.0 and I had to sync my iTunes stuff again (still connected via a cable directly to my MacBook) however I still can't connect to the net and can't update the software on there.
Does anyone have any ideas as I miss You Tube?

If you are connected directly to a Macbook by ethernet, you will need to ensure you have internet sharing enabled in your system prefs.

When I plug in my iphone to my macbook air it says the computer is not granted to take the iphone information. So I haven t been able to import the iphone information (like photos) to my laptop.
This is the first time it happened to me, because last week I could done that.

Try unplugging any other USB devices. If you are using a hub, don't, connect the phone directly to a computer USB port.
None of these are necessarily things you should do, but might help. For instance, if you plug the phone to an already busy hub, the phone might be "the straw that broke the camel's back" and lock out the hub.
