  • Because of low battery my iphone 5 got switched off and than its not starting by pressing the power button and in charge the white screen comes for 2 second and goes

Because of low battery my iphone 5 got switched off and than its not starting by pressing the power button or by keeping it on charge. While charging a white screen comes for 2 second and goes away. This process continues till the phone is on charge. Please suggest how can I start my phone.

    Hello Ritugor,
I would be concerned too if my iPhone was not powering on.  I found an article with steps you can take when you encounter an issue like this.  I recommend following the steps below:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

pls help me how to reboot my macbook air,.. because starting it up was not successful. the screen just turns blue after the apple logo appeared.

i know loads of people who have had this problem including me.  The Java script update apparently had some virus that has overloaded the start up disk.   I took to apple who said i have to have the machine rebuilt but first i have to go to a data recovery company to get back everything that was on it.  Data recovery company have quoted me nearly £1000.

  • Macbook air does not sleep after closing the lid or putting into sleep

I've searched the message boards and external sites for answers and even spoke to Apple support.  I'm so frustrated because it affects my work everyday.  Its a 2013 Macbook Air running 10.9.2 and file vault.  I close the lid or force into sleep mode and the system stays on even though the display goes dark.  I travel alot so it goes into my briefcase and by morning its dead.  I have turned off bluetooth devices, reset the SMC, have no external devices connected other than a thunderbolt monitor, booted into safe mode and followed every suggestion out there.  Apple support person said he's never seen this before which is ridiculous because there are so many cases I have read about including Apple Support Communities.  Does anyone have any experience with this?

Please triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    pmset -g assertions | pbcopy
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing the key combination command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear below what you entered.
The output of the command will be automatically copied to the Clipboard. If the command produced no output, the Clipboard will be empty. Paste into a reply to this message.
The Terminal window doesn't show the output. Please don't copy anything from there.

  • Sound Icon does not change when pressing the Mute Key

    Hey guys,
I have a really annoying problem that only seems to start a few hours after booting my MacBook, it does not happen on a fresh reboot. When I press the mute button on the keyboard it does not mute the sound and the icon in the top bar does not show that the sound has been muted.
If I go to the control panel for the audio and do the same thing with the panel open it works just fine and the icon shows that the audio has been muted. Do any of you have this issue and how can I report this bug to Apple so they can adress it in their next OS upgrade.
    Best Regards
    Felix
    MacBook Pro 1.83Ghz 1Gig RAM   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

I am having the exact same problem. It is even worse because it has happened to me in class before.
The other day, after coming to class I opened up my MBP from sleep intending to work on some things for class. As a general practice I hit the mute key as soon as I open the Mac. This always worked well with my Powerbook. However the system did not mute and the connection noises from iChat played out. This upset the teacher who glared at me for the rest of the class.
This is not an isolated incident either. I have had the tool bar and the translucent icon disagree a number of times.
I have found that if I hit the mute key twice it will generally correct the problem. But it is annoying. I hope someone at Apple is listening (in more than one way it would seem)

  • I press the IWeb Icon and nothing happens-can someone who has a clue please walk me through-thanks!!!!

I click on my iWeb icon and nothing happens…please help!!

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a potential solution.  We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iWeb are you using?
what system version are you running?
what exactly happens when you click on the iWeb icon in the Dock? Does the icon move at all or do you get a warning message?
have you tried clicking on the iWeb application in the Applications folder?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
    what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

I have bought a macbook pro last year and now, I have a great problem since a few months.
My macbook does not boot up, I hear no fan noices and no LED lights are blinking...
Battey is full, but nothing happens (means system will not start up).

What I don't understand is, if I do nothing for one or two days and press then the power button, the system will start up and full functionality for a few days.
And anytime I get the same problem again... and must wait also for a few days.
    Can anybody support me please.
Thank you all in advance and looking forward to a fast reply.

  • Macbook Air won't start up past the "apple" page, and has a spinning icon. help!

The computer was left on for over a week while I was out of town, came back and it was slow, then it started doing the "spinning beach ball" so I shut it down and now it won't start up again.

    Hey Sarah.
The spinning beach ball of death is a tricky issue to fix.
You can delete everything in the caches folders located at:
    ~/Library/Caches
    /Library/Caches
    Also try an SMC/PRAM reset:
    PRAM RESET:
    Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.
    SMC RESET:
    Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.
If you still boot to the apple screen your next option is to boot to the Mac OSX install DVD and run a disk check/repair.
Hold down option with your OSX DVD in your drive, click on the cd that appears, boot to the OSX DVD.
Click on utilities in the menubar, go to disk utility, select Macintosh HD, run a check/repair.
If this fails you'll need to run the Max OSX installer and reinstall your Mac OSX.
P.s since you have a Macbook Air your install DVD is the usb stick you would have got with your MacBookAir.

  • After installing 9.0.1 twice on Win7, Firefox does not open websites in the navigation toolbar. Nothing happens when I put in any normal web address.

Firefox now takes an enormously long time to open now that I have upgraded to 9.0.1. The bigger problem is that the navigation toolbar where I enter web addresses does not function when I hit the enter key or by selecting the small arrow key right next to the web address. Win7 64bit, no detectable viruses.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
