My Macbook Bro 13 in getting heat up very fast.

I have a Macbook Pro 13 in. It is getting heated up really fast. It gets heated up even in 15 mins of use. Any suggestions. What could be the possible problem. It was nt lyk dis before.. Help reqd....

If none of Dominic23's suggestions solve you problem, download from the Internet iStat pro and install it.  When you feel that the MBP has become hot, post an image of iStat pro AND of Activity Monitor with 'All Processes' selected and '%CPU' set to show values from high to low.

  • Hp Laserjet pro 100 m175mw heats up very fast and does not come close to the specified print speed.

I got myself the above all-in-one colour printer and have realised that the printer heats up very fast.  After about 15-20 prints (sent in smaller files as advised by the manual), the printer heats up and each page took almost 2 mins to print.  Frankly, I have never encountered such problem with any of my previous three laser printers.  Anyone can point out what could be wrong or at least what can I do to reduce the problem from popping up.
Personally, I suspect this is a hw design problem....will be contacting HP too see what is their input.
Also the actual printer speed is not even close to the spec stated on paper.

    Hi Colossus,
    Follow the steps below.
    1. Turn off the printer, and then remove the power cable from the back
    2. Wait about 2 minutes, and then plug the power cable directly into the wall outlet
    3. Turn on the printer

  • Satellite L300 heats up very fast

    Hi,
My Toshiba satellite L300 heats up very fast, i've have had this notebook for around 2 years (26/5/2008). Recently it has over heated and shut off, this has happened twice.
Just wondering if this is a hazard, or some thing i should look out for.
    Thanks :)

Is cooling fan active or not? Can you hear it spinning all the time or there is no activity?
I can imagine that after 2 years of usage the cooling grill is full of dust and notebook cannot be cooled down properly. In my opinion first step should be notebook cooling system clean up.
The question is how to do this. To make it properly notebook must be disassembled and I dont know if you can do this on your own.

  • Aluminium MacBook heats up very fast

Why does the left side of the MacBook heats up so fast? And it can be really really hot at times.
Does any other MacBook user encounter such problems too? Is there a solution to this?

I have only had my mac for 3 months and already when using safari for a while it starts heating up a lot. When i then check the activity monitor it says that CPU is 100 % and then I have to close safari down and restart it. first then it gets silent. but this should not be the case with a new mac, is something wrong?
Yes, if Safari alone is indicating 100% CPU then something is wrong. Of course, this assumes that you don't have several windows or tabs open within Safari each of which is displaying some type of animation or video. If you do have multiple windows or tabs open in Safari try closing those which you are no longer using. However, even one animation or video can take quite a lot of processing power so don't be surprised if your MacBook gets a little warm or "hot" while it is displaying same. This is also true (or even more so) when playing video games.
In any case, the definition of "hot" or "too hot" depends entirely on your experience. I know that my previous PowerBook G4 ran much hotter than my Aluminum MacBook. A few parts of the PowerBook G4 could get so hot that it would actually burn your skin (if you were unwise enough to remain in contact with the case after the pain began). In that sense, my Aluminum MacBook never gets "too hot" and in my experience it is actually a "cool" or slightly warm running notebook computer.

Before you buy anything, first make sure your Mac is compatible.
Minimum specs for Snow Leopard.  Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard -   Read the Technical Specifications
Buying Snow leopard from Apple.        Last I read, you must call them (1-800-MY-APPLE). It is $29 plus tax for family pack and $19 plus tax for a single.  You can also buy through your National Apple help number.
Once you have it you must update using the ...

  • Does the macbook pro with retina display get heated?

Hi I want to buy a macbook pro with retina display and i want to know more informations about it...like:-
    1-does it get heated.
2-can I play any game without buying graphics chip.
    3-does it run 64-bit download.
4-can order it with a CD slot.
5-can i upgrade to a new graphics chip.
6-if i will need a graphics chip what will i need it for.

    1.  It will if you run heavy-graphics processing such as HD-movie streaming or gaming.  But the system should shut itself down instead of overheating. And if you keep the system on a flat hard surface (rather than on bedsheets), it should be able to keep itself cool enough to not overheat.
    2. Any, no.  Many more than a 13 in that only has integrated gragpics chip in CPU, yes.
    3. Not sure what you mean.
    4. No.  You need an external optical drive.
    5. No upgrades, not even RAM or flash storage.
    6. Simple internet only requires basic graphics processing.  Streaming HD movies from NetFlix requires faster graphics response.  Gaming requires faster graphics response.  Faster graphics response requires a better graphics chip than the one integrated into the CPU, one with its own RAM.

  • MacBook Pro getting heat

    Dear Friends
My Macbook pro gets heating only near the charging socket area,, I have attached the pic with marking.
    I use OS X yosemite.
Please give me to solve this.

Check both connections, the MBP and the charger for dirt and discoloration.  The pins in the charger connection are spring loaded so make certain they move freely.
    Run an Apple Hardware test:

Note hat an error free AHT is not definitive.

  • After upgrade to IOS 6 my iphone 4S is heating up a lot and the battery is getting depleted very fast (within 2-3 hrs).

I have upgraded my Iphone 4S to IOS 6.0 Yesterday. Afterwards I noticed that the phone gets hot quite often, even when it is idle. Additionally the battery gets depleted very fast ( 100% to 20% within 3 hrs while I was reading a book on the app mobibook for about 30 min). Last night, I left the phone connected to the charger, as I normally do, I found the phone to be extremely hot in the morning. Any help will be appreciated. In case there is no rememdy I would like to rollback to 5.1.1.

If your iPhone 4S is extremely hot, do the following:
Turn off your iPhone 4S and wait for 1 - 1 1/2 hours.
    Turn on your iPhone 4S.
If the problem occurs, turn off your iPhone 4S and wait for 2 - 3 hours.
    Turn on your iPhone 4S.
If your iPhone 4S is getting low, charge your phone
    Repeat in step 1.

  • MacBook Pro is getting very slow after ~1h of using. It's not even getting hot!

    MacBook Pro 15'
    early 2011
    OS X 10.9 (13A603) Maverics
    2 GHz Intel Core i7
    8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 3000 512  MB
+my battery is dead and Im using cable all the time
When I turn ON my Macbook everything is OK, but after ~1h of doing whatever (surfin on net, listetning iTunes or watching movies) it's suddenly getting super slow. After that even scrolling down the websites is lagging and watching movies from HDD is impossible (glitchy and low fps). Macbook is not getting hot at all. Normal restarting doesn't work - it's slow as it was before (I need to wait long time to turn in ON again). Yesterday I decided to restart the SMC (Control+Option+Shift+Power Button) and after restarting Macbook it was OK again for another 1h.
    I've already tried:
    - cleaning with Clean my Mac 2
    - scan with ClamXav
    - restarting SMC

I'm updating OS X right now (downloading).
