Mountain Lion downloaded from App store on 11th and 12th June will not install. Downloaded TWICE it times out after 20 secs into install. Can't get any help!!! Going around in circles!!

Maybe Apple should have a ' definitely read me first' notice before a download takes place with CLEAR instructions to have more than the 6GB they indicate ofr the Mountain Lion download -
I just downloaded Mountain Lion for my MacBook Pro from the App Store. I was curious if it is possible to downloand Mountain Lion to my iMac without paying the $19.99 fee again? Not trying to be a cheapskate, just curious if App Store purchases are universal like iTunes Apps.
You can re download Mountain Lion for free on all your authorized Macs using the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select Mountain Lion.
Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install. -

Well it seems like I wasn't as stupid as I thought. I initially thought I'd deleted an app called Screen Sharing from my applications folder, as after I'd finished my session of deleting unused apps, the availablity of the "Share Screen" button in the Finder window (under the "Connect" button) when you click on a shared computer in the home network was gone.
Now it seems it's back.

I want to use icloud to sync w/my new apple tv. bought osx snow leopard and installed it plus upgraded to 2 gigs memory for my
old (2007) macbook. still won't work. I need to get to at least osx 10.7.4 or to osx mountain lion. Tried everything and can't get there.

When you purchase Mountain Lion, you can install it as many times as you want on all your computers for free. To install it on the desktop, open the App Store, go to Purchases tab and download OS X Mountain Lion.
Another option is to redownload it on the MacBook, put the installer onto a USB drive and connect it to the desktop in order to upgrade -

I have my new HD in a USB enclosure connected to my MacBook Pro and I want to put a fresh copy of Mountain Lion on it. I'm told that I need to boot from the Installation Disk to start. But I do not have an install DVD as I got ML as a download from the App Store. Can I download ML from the App Store again, but this time directly to my new HD?

If you want to reinstall the original Mac OS X version that came with your computer, you need the Mac OS X DVD that came with the computer.
If you want to reinstall Mountain Lion, the installer creates a recovery partition to reinstall OS X and do some maintenance tasks. You can access to it pressing Command and R keys while your Mac is starting -
