My macbook doesn't have airdrop but I got it in 2011?? How can I get airdrop? all my software is up to date.

Just simply isn't there.  I read online that all MacBooks past 2008 should support this feature, but mine doesn't. Is there a way for me to download it?

Airdrop requires Lion or Mt. Lion.  You will have to update your MBP with one of these OS's.
Ciao.
!0.6.8 is Snow Leopard.
