Display shows a white screen
Try putting the iPod into disk mode:
Reset the device (press the Sleep and Volume Down buttons simultaneously until the display turns black—about eight seconds).
When the display turns black, hold down the Volume Down and Volume Up buttons simultaneously until the device enters Disk mode.
While the device is in disk mode, sync it to iTunes and try to restore.

MacBook Air has a dark screen and works very slowly - what is happening?
I have a MacBook Air since July '10, and until a few weeks ago, it seemed to be working fine.
A couple of weeks ago I wanted to update iTunes and GarageBand, but since I couldn't find my charger and I really needed to update my iTunes, I just let it update without a charger. It seemed to be fine and I think I either switched it of or left it on sleep mode overnight (I don't quite remember). The next day, I opened it normally and it worked very slowly, it kept freezing and that little colorful rotating ball appeared every time I tried to turn on a simple program, like Chrome or something. I restarted it numerous times (it froze so much that I couldn't even force end the programs) and left it turned off overnight, but nothing helped. A few days after that I backed my MacBook up using Time Machine and deleted stuff I don't need (I previously used over 80 GB out of the 100 GB originally available). I went down to about 30 GB of space taken up, and after that my Mac started to work fine, except for the occasional freezes. It still wasn't as fast as it was before (I couldn't open a few tabs at the same time in Chrome, or two programs at the same time, without it continually freezing), but it worked fine so I just assumed it was because of all the space taken up. The occasional freezes still annoyed me, though (plus I couldn't put pictures on it because I was scared that the freezes would occur again), so I thought I could reinstall Snow Leopard. It seemed to work fine, so I just left it there as it installed. A while after that, the backlighting switched off, as it usually does after a while. What worried me, though, is that even when I pressed F2 or moved the mouse or pressed something on the keyboard, the screen would not become light again. The light was extremely dim and I could barely make out what it said on the screen, but it was bright enough that I read a message saying that Snow Leopard failed to install, and asking whether I'd like to try again. I restarted the laptop and the screen was not only very dark (the white screen that normally appears was now dark grey), but it also took a really long time to turn on. A few minutes passed before the Apple logo appeared, and it took about 5 minutes (in comparison to the usual few seconds that it takes me to switch it on) to fully load. Naturally, it still worked extremely slowly and kept freezing when it turned on, in addition to the fact that the screen was dim.
Could someone please help me? I am completely not a Mac expert so I have no idea what the issue might be.Usually signals memory problem.

So i was on facebook and all of a sudden my ipod touch screen froze, i clicked the home button and the screen turned white, i've left it to drain the battery but its still white and i touched the back and its boiling hot like burning hot. Going on a trip tomorrow and really really need my ipod touch for the trip. i've tried plugging the ipod into the computer but its not recgionzing it...
It's a new ipod touch in white the fourth generation one..
Any ideas what to do??

I used my MacBook pro lastnight and worked fine. Tried to turn it on this morning and it won't start. Does sound like it is going to then before login screen shows ur goes to a solid white screen and beeps every 7 seconds. Need help school is about to start again.

I think you have bad RAM, so either you've recently put in new RAM, knocked some RAM loose from the socket (really hard to do), or the RAM went bad (maybe).
You might need to see a real tech.
Upon further review, I think your MBP has a serious problem. You need to take it to an Apple Store for repair. If you bought it within the last 12 months, you will be able to get warranty service, as long as you're not at fault. -
I tried to download an upgrade that was recommended by APPLE, the upgrade stopped halfway through and the iPod Touch was turned off, now the iPod Touch has a BLANK WHITE SCREEN and is UNRESPONSIVE to the COMPUTER

Each time i press the power button i just have a blank white screen, and intermittent sounds/tone. No apple logo, or spinning circle.

Can anyone give me some hints??? Thanks!!!!!! Or I have to take it back to America to check....Impossible, there are zero, as in none, zip, nadda viruses for OS X. If you have viruses on it they are for MS Windows and will not affect OS X. I suspect the hard disk has crashed, if you have backup then it's not a big deal to have it changed, just take it into your local Apple Store or AASP for service. If you have not been backing it up you may be in for a painful lesson on why backup is critical.

HP Photosmart Printer 6520 has a white screen and won't go away?
My HP photosmart printer had been working fine until I turned it on today and it showed a blue screen with a power off/on symbol and quickly flashed to a blank white screen and hansn't changed since. I've unplugged it and plugged it in several times and it still does the same thing. I even left it unplugged for a while and plugged it back in and it still did the same thing? How do I fix this problem?

If the problem persits after restoring the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod then you likely have a hardware problem. In that case an appointment at the Genius Bar of an apple store or returing it to Apple is in order.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.
