My macbook keeps coming up with error 20 when I try to download updates from the app store. How do I rectify this?
When I try to download updates for programmes like pages and imovie my moacbook keeps coming up with error 20 and asks me to try again later. Is there a way to solve this problem?

Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

You posted in the iPod Shuffle forum; it might be best to post in the iPad forum, as I was a bit confused at first. Anyway,
It doesn't need a SIM to download apps if you have Wi-Fi. Can you describe this box a little more, or better yet, screenshot it?

If you don't want to do this, can you describe it a little more? When you say "black box," I'm guessing it's an outlined box that appears around any item that you tap on. Is this correct? If so, it sounds like VoiceOver was enabled. See:

I bought a Mac Book Pro retina display, Serial Number C02J*****2, on 8/11/2012. Unfortunately, I am unable to download updates from the App store.Whenever I tried to download updates, it shows me an error message, "we could not complete your request. there is an error in the App Store. Try again later (100). Your Apple ID has been disabled, contact iTune support". However,the problem still persists even after my password has been successfully reset. I have 3 Iphone 4's. One of them updates from the App Store with no issues. My other two which are under the same AppleID will not let me do updates. when I try it asks for my Credit card info then after i enter it it says "security code invalid". Has anyone else had this issue and how have you fixed it?

If you can't access the App Store from the Apple menu, Dock, or Applications folder installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo will reinstall the App Store for you.
It's ok to do this even you are already running v10.6.8.

FYI: Some third party software can cause issues with the App Store > Mac App Store: Sign in sheet does not appear, or does not accept typed text

I have changed my apple I'd primary email account and saved the changes yet when I try to buy from the App Store it still lists the old email address- can anyone advise how to fix this?
What id shows at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app ? If it's the old email address that you had on your account then try tapping on it and log out of your account and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad.

when trying to upload a MS word file (.docx) to gmail, it uploads as a 'folder' that doesn't contain the original document when i try to download it back from the e-mail. how do i set the format to simply upload the document itself??? Thanks...
Yes, excuse me. attach a file. I have separate folders on my desktop to organize my word documents, so I'm guessing this might be a part of the problem. When I go to attach one of these documents into gmail, the resulting attachment is another folder icon (not the original organizational folders) with 4 subfolders containing a slew of .xml files reading things like "header.xml" "format.xml" "settings.xml" "style.xml" "contenttype.xml" There are also a few .jpegs and a small folder reading "word" as one of the subfolders.

I wrongly changed the settings on the apps page to the American store. Now I cannot download any updates because I am locked out and need to revert back to the Canadian store, how do I do that
Try going to the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your iPad and tap on your account id, tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account, and then select the Country/Region section and select Canada.

Are updates still available for OS below Maverick?That error may result from connecting to a cellular network via a phone or mobile broadband device. If that's what you're doing, try another network.

Computer freezes when downloading yosemite from the app store
I am trying to upgrade my older iMac to Yosemite but everytime I try to download it from the app store, it crashes my computer. Anyone had a similar problem or a suggestion?
Do you meet the requirements for Yosemite?

This error message could result from an incorrect setting for date and time, or an operating system which does not have the latest updates installed. It's a good idea to have your location setting on automatic. Turn on the wi fi in your mac for a minute or so, to allow it to automatically search for your present location. Do this even though you have the correct time Date settings displayed.
