My MacBook keeps crashing and won't start up properly

My Macbook was fine untill today (It's running the latest update of leopard) and at first keep shutting down and said no batteries when i pressed the battery icon and also said indexing when i press on spotlight now it just has the apple logo and a loading circle what it usualy has when you first turn it on.
I got it last year and I have tried unplugging the mouse and restarts.

It sounds as though it needs a service call.
You could try booting in safe mode (hold the shift key down and boot) - but it probably won't get that far.

MacBook Pro crashed and won't start up!!! HELP!

I had a couple programs running (nothing out of the ordinary) and I opened Photobooth and then the screen turned black, but the little green light on the top of the laptop indicating that the camera is on was lit. I pushed a few buttons but the screen remained black so I figured I had a small crash (my very first one too).
I held the power button until the laptop shut off and I tried starting it back up, however the screen stays black and nothing seems to get it to work! I know the power is on since a light turns on when the laptop is on. Its the little light on the button you push to open your closed laptop (sorry I don't know what it's called).
I tried shutting the laptop on and off, removing the battery, letting it sit for 10 minutes... NOTHING'S WORKING.
Is my laptop dead??? Help!

I am guessing that you connected to your iMac while in target mode. If you could not pull the data off that way, and you can't repair the drive, it seems as if you have limited options.
You could run the hardware check on your system disk. If the HD is fried, you can send it to a recovery service ($$$$) if the data are valuable and not backed up. Otherwise, I would bring it to Apple (assuming that you are within warrantee/applecare) and have them replace it.

The next time the crash happens, note the date and time the problem occurred, then go to Applications/Utilities/Console and copy the log starting at the time of the crash. Paste the log in a reply. Please do not use a screen shot as they can be hard to read. If there are repeated runs of the same messages, please post only one run. Be selective about what you post and don’t post huge amounts. Make sure there is no personal data visible. Information learned from Linc Davis.

Well, I hadn't rebooted after the 7.1.1 upgrade, but obviously I had to restart iTunes. After I rebooted my iBook iTunes worked... Maybe the 7.1.1 update should be marked with a must reboot?

PS CC crashed and won't start any more

When I yesterday applied a Nik Filter in PS CC Photoshop crashed and won't start any more. The same with PS CS 5.1 on the same machine (Win8.1). PS CC works on my laptop. What shall I do?
When I try to restart i get the message that PS CC does'nt work and I will be informed when the problem is solved!? What shall I dó?

My Iphone 4 Itunes keeps crashing and won't let me play anything. I can't even see my library.

Recently my recently added playlist would not load, but the rest of my library preceded to load. Now my whole iTunes on my iPhone keeps crashing, and wont open it at all. I just restored it, and it did nothing. Any Help ? Please!!

try a reset, hold down the home/power button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for your phone to boot back up. See if that helps.

My macbook keeps crashing, and now won't startup, not sure what issue is!?

I got a used macbook about 3 months ago, it's the second I've bought and had no issue with it up until about a month ago, when it started giving me the fatal error and saying "please restart your computer" and freezing up. I tried to run disk utility on it and it basically said my hard drive had fatal errors and it couldn't fix it. So I bought a new hard drive. Got my hard drive today, put it in the macbook, reinstalled OSX Snow Leopard, and it ran fine for about 5 hours, and I was happy as can be... now suddenly, it has started doing this again, and it's really starting to p*ss me off because I've spent so much on a "recertified" macbook that apple won't fix without a crap load of money, and I'm not even sure what is going on with it..
I've tried to boot it in safe mode, and it acts fine for about a minute, and then any program I try to open it says it can't "find it" and shuts down. If I try to open system preferences to bring up the specs it immediately freezes and gives me the "hold down power button to restart" stupid thing.
When I restart it, sometimes it'll come up and then shut down, and other times it immediately pops up and says something about a fatal kernal error. If I can get it to do the fatal kernal error message again, I will happily post it on here so you can see what it says, but at this point I am seriously ready to just trash this pos and go back to using windows computers because this now makes 3 macs (two macbooks and a imac) that I've had that all start doing this, and it's baffling because I don't download stuff on the internet, etc. I mainly use my macs for recording music.
Also, don't know if this helps or not, but in the few instances where it does boot up and won't shut down immediately, if I click on say Apple>About this Mac.... as soon as I click on it, the screen goes blue, and then a few seconds later it comes back like it's just fine.

You had three machines with the same exact issues.
So what have you done a month ago that is the same on the other two machines?

There is something in common on all three machines, something you have done that is causing this issue.
My suggestion is to treat this as a malware infection, backup and systematically purge everything, reinstall 10.6 and only manually transfer files from backups.
Call Apple for the 10.6.3 White Snow Leopard disks your going to need them.

Indesign cs4 keeps crashing and won't even load on new macbook os lion? How do I fix this?

I have just purchased a new macbook pro running lion and indesign will not load just keeps crashing. Have restarted macbook but I don't know what else to do?

InDesign CS4 has issues with Lion. You may need to update to CS5.

Macbook pro fell and won't start up

Last night my macbook pro fell from the table, it didn't look damaged on the outside, put it to sleep and went to sleep myself. This morning i opened it up and the rainbow wheel ket spinning whatever I did. Restarted it and same thing. I tried all the possible options suggested, different keyboard combinations at start up. Verified the disk using the original cd but by hard disk won't mount, i see the hard disk icon on the top left pane but if i click on it, i read not mounted on the bottom part of the panel. Tried disk utility starting the mac on retrieve mode and says "disk can't be repaired". Now if i shut down the mac and start it up again the apple logo appears and the gear keep spinning but nothing happens. Any idea what might have happened? It was working fine before yestarday. Lion os installed.
I also would like to backup the data on time machine but can't since the mac won't start up. Any suggestion?

Entourage Crashing and won't start

Upgraded to 10.4.10, Safari 3 beta etc.
Now Entourage won't start. Splash screen comes up then unexpectedly quits.
Tried reinstalling the 10.4.10 combo update.
No good.
I have tried to reinstall the MS Office update and now that won't even start - it too crashes.
And Word, Excel etc. won't work. Something obviously blocking MS Apps.
Help please!
Running a bunch of other stuff like QS, Google desktop etc. I did have PocketMac for Blackberry installed (now uninstalled) and also tried Missing Sync for Blackberry which I too have uninstalled.

I have the same problem after installing the update today. All my Microsoft Office's applications crash when I try to open them. Anyone have a solution?

MacBook makes tones and won't start

I bought I new MacBook last week. But since yesterday I get kernel panics. And now it even won't start.
It makes tones after powering up. First there were three tones. But after I changed the memory modules, it makes 1 tone repeatedly.
Is my standard Apple memory broken?

But, if both chips work in the upper slot, then it really is the lower slot that's the problem. I don't think the hardware test that's running before the tones is capable of determining if it's the chip or the slot itself that's failed, only that the test that was supposed to go to the RAM chip has failed. Either way, it does need to be serviced. The search function is running again, here's the article about startup tones:

I phone crashed and won't start up, even after connecting it to my mac, and tried the 10 sec. holding the power and home button

my iPhone 4 crashed and the screen froze, so i pushed the power key to turn it off. But it won't start up again. I tried the 10 sec. holding with the power and home button, and connected it to my laptop, but it still won't start up. what should i do?

Is there anything at all on the screen? Try this procedure:
Plug your device into the original charger & block in a wall outlet and leave it alone for a couple of hours. Then, while it is still plugged in, restart it by holding down the home button and the power button for 10-15 seconds until you see the Apple, then let go.

Crashed and won't start back up

My macbook is about three weeks old now and i was just using it when all of a sudden it just crashed and now it will not start back up. Any suggestions??

Have you been doing anything on your computer you shouldnt ?
Or maybe you had a load of application all at once, confusing the system, causing it to crash...

Iphone 6 crashing and won't start up

Please help my iPhone 6 plus keeps on crashing and a red screen coming up and then then apple logo then back to red screen. Was trying to update to iOS 8.3 when this happened

I understand that your iPhone is getting not starting up as you would expect and displaying a red screen. To troubleshoot this situation, I would recommend reading over and working through the troubleshooting steps in the attached article.
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond or doesn't turn on - Apple Support
If your device turns on but gets stuck during start up
You might see the Apple logo or a red or blue screen for a long time during start up. Try these steps:
Connect your device to a computer and open iTunes. If you don't have a computer, you can borrow one, or go to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for help.
While your device is connected, force it to restart. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. Don't release when you see the Apple logo. Keep holding until you see the Recovery mode screen.
When you get the option to restore or update, choose Update. iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without erasing your data.
iTunes will download the software for your device. If it takes more than 15 mintues, your device will exit recovery mode and you'll need to repeat steps 2 and 3 again.
