My macbook keeps crashing when i watch videos online ... Help please

Its keeps crashing after i watch about 13 mins of video and i'm worried somethings wrong with it.
its a late 2009 white macbook and i bought it in august of this year.
Is it a hardware or software problem ? beacuse i dont want to send it to get fixed since i dont have the cash to fix it.

If you are referrring to videos on YouTube ...
Unistall the currently installed Flash plugin then reinstall new.
Uninstall > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Reinstall new http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Then open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advacned tab.
Click: Delete All
Quit and relaunch your browser to test.

Have you tried an alternate browser to see if the same issue happens? Try Firefox or Chrome. Chrome has Flash embedded in it, so if it doesn't work, it's probably not a Flash issue. FIrefox is at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ and Chrome is at https://www.google.com/chrome .
Another thing to try is to sign up for HTML5 video from Youtube. See http://www.youtube.com/html5

1. I am not sure whether it is the problem of the graphic hardware, relevant softwares or the system itself.
2. I am not sure whether browsing a webpage with a lot pictures would make the graphic hardware, or other hardwares if possible, massively burdened and then just crash.
3. Or if possible, is the reason that the heat dissipation doesn't work well?
I am looking forward to any replies that might be helpful. Really appreciated.

it could be heat, not enough RAM, but you don't tell us enough.
There is no reason to assume this is anything other than running Windows natively btw.
Browser of course matters probably the most.
I like IE10 now, but use to use FF until recently. I'd like Chrome except for a few concerns I have over using it, it can eat up a lot of RAM and it builds up HUGE disk cache if you don't clear history and cache on exit and run CCleaner regularly ( good for all browsers )
So assuming 64-bit and 4GB or more and core i5 or better...
Also make sure Wiindow has 10GB of free space or more.
Biggest concern is what happens afterwards and whether you have run a check of your hard drive (chkdsk on startup) or if the problem cascades and gets progressively worse on top of the first - like do you have to do hard restart or able to bring up Task Mgr and kill or better yet, Resource Mgr and see if you have any thread locks.
Safari is not well versed in multithreading and handling what you want to do and are doing. IE9 isi usually good but I found it could not handle a lot of tumblr photo streams and sites. Try Chrome. With Firefox, use noscript, blashblock and see how it goes.

Hi there. I have just started using a new macbook pro with Snow Leopard. When I am using Excel (2004) it keeps crashing, going to blue screen and then I have to re-enter my password. I keep losing a lot of work and it's infuriating me.

Elements 10 keeps crashing when previewing my video

Windows 7 home premium SP1 64bit OS
3.84gb RAM
(no other programs running at the time)

I've got a soundtrack and a few clips and sometimes when previewing the video it'll start out ok and then when it begins trying to play the first clip it'll just encounter an error and shut itself down. Reopening the file normally lets it work fine for a while but sometimes not. I've rendered the clips too.
Any suggestions?

This video and that audio are not going to work well in Premiere Elements, unfortunately.
Your best bet is to use the project settings for Flip Mino HD to edit your video. And by all means convert that audio file to a WAV! (The free download Audacity will do it.)
You're still going to have to render often as you work. (Press Enter whenever you see red lines above the clips on your timeline. When they're rendered they'll turn green.) You don't say how fast your projecessor is -- but you should get pretty decent editing performance with this video if you've got a quad core or i7 processor.

MacBook keeps crashing when I try to play games.

For quite a while now my MacBook has been crashing randomly when I try to play any sort of game. I'm planning on taking it in to get repaired once I'm done with my summer classes for college. Until then I was wondering if anyone knows what might be causing the issue. Thanks in advance for any help.

Could be heat related. Games tend to run up the temps on notebook computers. Make sure you are doing everything possible to allow the normal cooling funcitons to work to the fullest:
no running it in your lap or on pillow or blanket without using a lapboard.
no blocking the hinge area ion the back edge of the case
if using an external monitor, leave the built-in display open; "clamshell mode" traps heat.
Also use Activity Monitor to check for overactive background processes. Quit any user apps before running this test. Be sure to set its Show window to "All processes," and highlight the "%CPU" column to sort by CPU usage. Watch the list for about a minute--it's dynamic--and note any processes that consistently use more that 15-20 percent of the cycles.
Try turning off Dashboard. Restart and don't invoke any widgets; see if things are better. If so, then you need to guit Dashboard after using a widget. I use the widget DashQuit 3.0 to turn off all the widgets after use. Any widget that gets its info from the network can use up resources.

I have version 10.4.11 Each time I try to watch a Youtube video it will shut down after only a few minutes of viewing. What can I do to correct this?

The whole computer shuts down, or just the browser? If it's the whole computer then it is probably overheating (video places heavy demand on the CPU). There's a few utilities that were just mentioned in another post very, very recently you can use to monitor temperatures (if your computer supports them) [http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2359432]. Check to make sure your computer is being adequately vented (no dust, not sitting on lap or surface blocking vents).
If it is just the browser then it's probably something else, but let us know which.

Alright, so I have a video that I've probably rendered around 30 times now and it ALWAYS ends up either freezing up, and then Premiere stops working, or it just stops working.
I have a YouTube channel and I'm going away for 2 days tomorrow and I really need to get my videos up online, but I just can't render them! Does anyone know how to fix this? I really need help ASAP!

Computer Crashes when rendering movies...HELP PLEASE!!!

Hi,
Ill keep this as short and sweet as possible to anyone willing to help me out here...I built a computer to play games on (i.e. battlfield bad company 2 and call of duty 4 modern warfare) and i also built it to edit movies (currently using CS4). It rarely crashes while playing games but it seems like whenever i try to render any length of movie in CS4 it crashes, the temp with the case open while rendering will get to about 50C (which i know is pretty dang hot) and it doesnt take long to get there and usualy my computer crashes by than. Normal running temp is around 31C and even playing games it might reach 44C but not past. I do a little bit of overclocking and have my rig set up to about 20% over factory settings as far as CPU and RAM (but even on stock settings CS4 still crashes). My computer tower is a LAN box (BGears 'b-envi') and although i know its not really the best case for optimal air flow i really like the small box and mATX mobo combo because its easy to transport back and forth with a decent amount of power. Im thinking the CPU is bottle necking the system and was considering upgrading to a quad core q9450 or something in that general area so later on down the road i can switch over too Windows 7 with XP mode. Any suggestions? My budget is about $250 as of right now possibly a little more. Oh and i guess i should also ask, is CS4 compatible with Windows 7 XP Mode?

Eventually i want to rebuild this set-up with a ASUS Gene III x58 mATX mobo and an i920 with 3x2gb RAM and possibly a pair of 5800 series ATI cards and a go liquid cool, but that probably wont happen till summer of 2011.
P.S. i dont know if the resolution matters for rendering purposes but i am running it at 1920x1080 on a 50" sony Bravia.

Alright so i was dinking with it today and switched some settings in CS4 such as Optimizing rendering for memory rather than performance ( i noticed it went from rendering 1 frame a second to 3-5 frames a second and in some cases more reducing my overall time significantly) i also adjusted my virtual memory to 2048mb (not sure if it did much) and now it doesnt crash on me or hasnt yet and i have been rendering and encoding for at least 4 hours now. Ill download Prime95 again and see what happens and ill post pictures of the temps in a bit. I currently have Piriform Speccy and thats how i was delivering those previous temps. not sure how accurate they are but figured as long as you stick with one temp. reader youll know if there is any significant increase or decrease (but do correct me if i am wrong). My CPU temp still runs about 50C when encoding or rendering anything, As far as aftermarket fan on CPU goes i am very limited to height space where my CPU currently sits on the Mobo due to the Case and the OEM fan just barely fits under the frame rail, but i did however buy an aftermarket fan, it looks like the OEM fan but it claims to run at a higher RPM and suppose to be a lot quieter, not sure what RPM it runs at but i have my bios setup for performance mode and it runs the fan at or close too max RPM (bought it about half a year ago and threw the box away) but i did notice it kept the CPU a little bit cooler and alot quieter than the OEM fan did.
I guess my question to everyone was would it be practical and/or would i notice a significant increase in rendering and encoding times by buying a quad core or should i wait about 6 months and upgrade to an i7? Ill check into CS4 as to whether or not it is supported by W7 XP mode too, but assuming it is whats your take?

Macbook keeps crashing when I open or edit a google spreadsheet on google drive. Any help pls??

I saw your crash report in the other thread (maybe re-post it in here too for better visibility), and my initial guess is your Mac is set to use a proxy server, and that isn't working out.
In the stacktrace for the thread which is crashing is a reference to a PAC file, and what little I know about that is it is a JScript-based auto-configuration (which explains why that thread's stacktrace is talking all about JScript). See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proxy_auto-config if you want some background reading on PAC files.
Anyway, if you go to System Preferences, then Network and hit the Advanced... button you should be able to go to a "Proxies" tab then try turning off whatever PAC proxy stuff is configured there (or if you must use a proxy, perhaps take up the crashing issue with the administrator at your site which would have created the PAC configuration file). Hopefully with that PAC-based proxy turned off, or your administrator correcting the PAC file so it doesn't cause the JScript crash you are getting now, you'll be ok.
