My Macbook Pro 15" has become painfully slow when transferring files to USB or my Externel HardDrive. Any ideas?
I's unsure when it started but for quite some time copying even 100-200MB files is taken 5-10 minutes. I have tried many different USB's and External HardDrives, but nothing seems to be working, no matter what USB port it is plugged into. I have researched online and have found many people with the same issue, but no one seems to have a fix. If I am in a rush to get to school it's the last thing I want to have to deal with. I am running Lion 10.7.4 on my 15" Macbook Pro.
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the errant extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Its settings will revert to their defaults. If the extension still causes a problem, remove it permanently or refer to its developer for support.

there are preference folders and presets and settings that you could copy but you're better off installing fresh because a common problem for people with adobe program issues is a settings issue. -

System is struggling to open any web pages, apps etc.. Even booting time is more than 5 mins. My macbook has 8 GB Ram and 750GM memory and also got 200GB of free space memory..
Could you please advice me on this. Yesterday I installed the latest version of Flash Player that auto appeared on my screen. Ever since I can not play video, and my system has become painfully slow. My MacBook pro continues to be very slow after downloading Yosemite. It keeps referring to MacBook Pro (2). It's like there are two version running side by side. Any ideas?

I would say that there was about a 10% improvement. Although one of the icons still bounced for the count of 40

IPad 2 has become very slow when charging
Since I upgraded to ios 7, my iPad 2 has become very slow when charging. And the battery drained very fast. I cannot put it on standby but need to power off completely when I am not using it. This is very troublesome.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Then restart the iPad.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, then swipe the slider to power off.
Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Then try charging the battery.

After upgrading to Yosemite, If i plug in my Zte MF 820 LTE modem into my Macbook Pro USB socket or a Thunderbolt USB Ethernet converter/ into my Notebook, it slow down dramatically the system, unusable, need to reboot and unplug the USB moderm or Thunderbolt interface. So it does work only without any plug in device..!?

Leave “User Name” and “Password” blank.

Set “Vendor” to Other
Set “Model” to ZTE USB Modem.
Now click the little phone in the menubar and choose “Connect” from the dropdown.

Time capsule slow when transferring files over wifi - please help!
Well - the problem started after the insallation of Lion. It takes around 1 min to transferre 8 mb. So if i want to see a film from the TC i need to cable it and thats not realy the point of having a wireless harddisk.
I have turn spotlight off
I have reset the disk - default settings
I have made a clean Lion instal.
I have called apple support, that wanted 40€ to fix the product they made - in a bad way.
