Basically, my mac Charger cable has burned/frayed near the large white unit, and I was wondering if this is covered by the warranty? My warranty ends in a few days...

Bring the unit into an Apple store genius bar for evaluation. Only they can give you a definitive answer.

Powercord not working. is this covered in the warranty??

just a few minutes ago the light on my power cord stopped lighting up. if i wiggle the cord around in one place the light goes on for a second. so in other words, i need a new one. is this covered in the warranty that comes with the mac when i bought it?? the warranty is still valid but i dont have the extended one. what number do i call to report this??

Yes, it's covered - here are contact numbers for AppleCare. Note that it may not be the cord that's at fault, though, it could be a power connector within the MacBook. Apple will probably send you a new cord (and a box to return the old one) to test whether a replacement works.

MacBook Pro Charger not working, end of cord before the magnet part got detached from it.

for past an hour, my MacBook Pro charger stopped working so took the charger off and tried to fix it a bit by fixing the corn and straightening it or something.. Suddenly, the end of the cord, just before the magnet part, got detached from the magnet part with the pins and all.
i Tried to attach it back, and even if it did enter, I don't think it would continue to charge..
Is there anyway to fix this? Or do I have to get a new charger (which has to be my last resort, because I don't want to have to repair it by removing parts etc etc, or really pay money)

Of course. As it's not an accidental damage (you didn't do anything special to make the MacBook fail), it's covered by warranty.
It's normal that the MacBook overheats while playing games because they require CPU and GPU, and those are the parts that more heat generate. You can set a higher fan speed with smcFanControl while playing these games to keep the MacBook cool

Macbook Pro charger has dim green light

My macbook pro (late 2009) model has a dim green light on the charger. I took the back panel off, unplugged the battery from the motherboard, plugged in the charger, the turn on chime sounded. I unplugged the charger, plugged the battery back in and the computer came back on.
My problem is that its sitting on a 0% charge and the charger still has a dim green light! Help!!!

Macbook pro charger has died again?

I was on my laptop this afternoon, with my mom and her friends cleaning the garage right next to my room, and someone messed with the power, turning it off in the house. They did this a few times. My charger was plugged into my laptop and the wall when it happened, and then it just stopped charging. No LED light either. Completely dead? What steps can I take to make sure it really is dead before having to replace it? I already replaced a dying one once, which only lasted me 6 months. I think I've had this one for six months too. The other one died out slowly though, while this one just suddenly went poof.
It's an "L" Style connecter. I noticed they last shorter than the older, "T" style connectors :/ I don't wanna waste another 70 bucks. Would they replace it free?
And I am using a 13" macbook pro

Macbook pro charger melted!!??? the pin and the contact are bust

my sister has a macbook and the plastic around the two pins on either side of the (mid 2010 new design) charger, and the plastic around the two outer contacts on the notebook melted and went black, and the pins sunk into the structure of the charger. My sister started to use my charger (which i think is the same charger or similar charger), i dont know what happened to the charger, but when i used it with my Macbook Pro the same thing happened, only this time it was with one of the pins on my charger, and the corresponding contact on my macbook. The Macbook Pro still charges, haven't checked the Macbook, but i dont want to charge anything at the moment - just incase i cause more damage.
Can someone please tell me what's going on and why this is happening, and how i can fix it. Is it a hardware problem with the charger? the notebooks? both? maybe a software problem - a virus causing it to happen? maybe there's a problem with mains? maybe the fan doesn't work properly and the laptop heats up and melts the port? really need to sort this out - before i start university again this september. I want to have an idea of whats happening or to rule out any illegitimate reasons before i decide to go to the apple store. I find it strange that it happened to both our notebooks.

The genius Bar is well-equipped to deal with Physical problems like this. Take all your gear to them and have them diagnose the problem. No charge for the evaluation, in warranty or out-of-warranty. But they are crazy-busy so DO make an appointment.

OK, so I think I solved my issue. It was caused by the system not going to sleep (The screensaver thing was a dead end).
When I ran the console app pmset, I got something like this:

The process that was causing PreventSystemSleep to be 1 was "org.cups.cupsd" which is the print service. So I checked all my printers, one of them was "In Use". When I opened it, there weren't any jobs listed. I went through the options and selected Jobs > Show Everyone's Jobs and sure enough there was a job there. I deleted it and everything seems to work now.
The odd thing is that print job was probably from my other account which didn't seem to have this screen problem. Anyway, I hope this helps anyone out there....

Bought it from an authorized reseller, and have proof of purchase. Will this make my warranty still valid til august 14 2013? Can i still buy the extended Apple care? Cuase my Macbook just died on me

It says it has expired, i will contact the reseller when i go home from work. But still, i have all my proofs of purchase, shouldn´t that be enough to validate my warranty at an Apple store?

Macbook Pro Charger cord breaking/short despite my following the care process?

Despite my following the care process this is my 2nd 85 Watt Magsafe adapter to go bad and has a short in the cord after the adapter. I ensured I kept the cord uncluttered / not tangled up in open area / wrap accordingly (manual on how to care for magesafe adapter) when not in use. At work I keep the adapter on the desk. I have had my computer for 3 years without issue with the exception of having to purchase an $80.00 adapter cord a year ago. Now I have to purchase another within a year & half time. This isn't right.
Can some one provide insight on how to address this (replace without having to pay for another cord).
I bought it from best buy. I will try and locate my reciept.

You probably need to replace the two-prong attachment with the three-prong extension cord, which should have been included with the charging cable. That adds length, as well as grounding the adapter, which is safer anyway.

but icloud refuses unless i use the tick***@whatever it is i dont want to use that it is her email address understand what i say.
You need her to sign out of your account using the button with sign out written on it.
Then sign in using her account details. If she doesn't have an account, use the create Apple ID link in the set up window.
