My Macbook Pro keeps shutting itself off... Why?

I am not sure what happened to it because nothing out of the ordinary has happened.. Just one day it started turning on and off.. and then finally it was permanently off. I took it to a battery store to get a new battery and light icon turned on as if macbook was about to turn on, but screen was black. I looked up online and i found a place that said to take battery out and with batter out hold power button down for 5 seconds. I did this and walah, laptop turned on for me like nothing had happened. I thought that I had solved my problem, but I was wrong. Earlier today, laptop shut down again and I once again had to take battery out and hold power button down.
Does anyone know why my MacBook is doing this? Is there something specific that I need to take it in for? It's so frustrating!

Yes. So a diagnosis can be performed so 1) you know exactly what is wrong with it instead of throwing parts at it and trying things that only solve the issue temporarily and 2) so you can get an estimate and get it fixed.

Hi, my MacBook Pro keeps on randomly shutting itself down along with my charger (as in the light wont show anymore when plugged in). And when it does suddenly shut down, I can't turn my laptop back on unless I do the following: first I detach my charger from my laptop. Second I wait awhile or close my laptop and open it up again then I am able to turn it back on. I am new to mac, after years on a PC, and I have had mixed messages about whether to use the Mac plugged in once it is fully charged, or use it for hours on the batter and wait for it to run all the way down before charging. When I am fully charged and I am going to be at if for a long time, I find that the screen will go black like it has shut off, keyboard goes black to. There is not one specific program that it shuts down in, random shut downs and I could be in an Adobe application or another program. It may be be a coincidence, but my shut downs seems to have started after I installed Adobe's Creative Cloud. Apple now has my laptop exploring what may be causing my issues. Their first reaction was that it could be some sort of software conflict. I'm waiting on their diagnosis.

Have you already sent your BlackBerry in for service? If not, I would advise checking for any software updates by plugging in your BlackBerry to your PC and going to www.blackberry.com/update

start recharging your battery when it gets down to 20% — you’ll shorten your battery’s lifespan by running on battery power beyond that.

which model MacBook Pro do you have? Is it running Mac OS X 10.5.5? If not, which version of OS X is currently installed on it?
Are you running on battery when it shuts down, or are you running on AC when it shuts down, or does it happen in either case? Which app are you working in when it shuts down? Does it happen only in that app, or does it happen no matter which app you’re working in?

Macbook Pro Keeps Restarting Itself and then totally crashed

Dear all.
I am using Macbook Pro 13-inch (i7 2.9 Ghz, 8 GB DDR3, 750 GB) with OS X Maverick (10.9.4).
For the last few months, my Macbook Pro kept restarting itself and I usually ignored this issue until yesterday, my MBP fail to boot up, only display the grey apple logo and rolling icon below for almost 30 mins.
I tried the safe mode and reset NVRAM method and it still fail to boot up and sometimes a black text appears (aka kernel panic).
Then i took my macbook pro to the nearest Apple service provider and the technician said that it was probably due to the 750 GB Hard Disk since the HD itself is a faulty product, therefore we can't find any 750 GB HD nowadays. So he recommended me to replace my current HD with a new HD. I took his advice and I replaced it with 1 TB Toshiba HD. And then the technician reformat my MBP and installed the OS X Maverick. My Macbook pro able to boot up now.
However the next day I still find my MBP keeps restarting itself (until now) and take note that I didn't install any new softwares, I only updated the available updates in Apps Store for the OS, iBooks, and iTunes.
Can anyone recommend me what to do? Is this a Hardware problem or software problem?
I'm thinking to switch back to OS Lion to see whether this is mainly due to OS Maverick.

Unfortunately yes. Since the computer is unable to boot up, that part of the software starts BEFORE the OS would. Last time I had this problem, it turned out to be a faulty GPU (soldered to the logic board) and i needed to replace the logic board. If you wanted to, you could indeed back up your personal data (you should ANYWAY, no matter what you do) and you could try to do a fresh install, but I'm fairly confident you are experiencing either faulty ram, or a faulty logic board.
