My MacBook pro says clock is set to date before January 1 2008
How I I get my MacBook pro to rese to the correct time? It has done this before and when restarted it is back to normal. It seems to happen when the battery goes dead. This time it won't correct the problem itself.

When you lose power to the clock chip, it cannot remember the time.
System preferences > Date&Time > ...
... will allow you to set the Data & Time again. Check your Time Zone and that a sensible format (e.g., US, Canada, or UK if that is where you live) is selected, and NOT Custom.

I opened my MacBook pro this morning but it had reset the clock back to Jan 01, 2001 and had also lost all wireless passwords. This I have manually updated again which is fine but my iDisk on mobile me has reset itself to November 2010 meaning I have lost all files from then. As this is my primary method of storing my data as I work across multiple computers I am now stuck. Is there any way of recovering this data?Is the information on your computer at all or on an external drive of some sort? The only group that really would be able to assist you with that is going to:

It is chat based support but unfortunately it's the only support apple has for mobile me as of right now, I am not sure if they keep backups of your backups. Sorry to hear about that, that's weird how it changed your date... did that happen after a softare update or something? -

Adobe Photoshop CS6 won't load on my macbook pro, says "Could not initialize Photoshop because the file was invalid (it has been deleted).

I bought my Macbook Pro OS X Lion 10.7.5 in january 2012 brand new from my local apple store and i am sure they said that it would run AIRPLAY. Having just purchased apple TV and set it all up correctly I still can't connect - no AIRPLAY symbol ? pls help

You need OS X 10.8 mountain lion, mirror is a feature of that OS and you need to buy it from the app store, OS X 10.7.5 does not do it.
If you don't want to change visit www.airparrot.com a third party app that can do it.

Clean Install of Snow Leopard
1. Boot the computer using the Snow Leopard Installer Disc or the Disc 1 that came
with your computer. Insert the disc into the optical drive and restart the computer.
After the chime press and hold down the "C" key. Release the key when you see
a small spinning gear appear below the dark gray Apple logo.
2. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue
button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
After DU loads select the hard drive entry from the left side list (mfgr.'s ID and drive
size.) Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window. Set the number of
partitions to one (1) from the Partitions drop down menu, click on Options button
and select GUID, click on OK, then set the format type to MacOS Extended
(Journaled, if supported), then click on the Apply button.
3. When the formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed
with the OS X installation and follow the directions included with the installer.
4. When the installation has completed your computer will Restart into the Setup
Assistant. Be sure you configure your initial admin account with the exact same
username and password that you used on your old drive. After you finish Setup
Assistant will complete the installation after which you will be running a fresh
install of OS X. You can now begin the update process by opening Software
Update and installing all recommended updates to bring your installation current.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1. -

This did not work and I'm glad that I only paid for the cheapest plan on macupdate.com. For other people that view this discussion, after a couple of days of trying things and then viewing a couple of other discussions, what worked for me was uninstalling my Silverlight and then reinstalling it. Thanks for everyones input !!!!

My macbook pro says Shockwave Flash plug-in has crashed pretty much every day. I have to shut the computer down and restart to fix it. Is there any way I can keep this from happening?

also, make certain your Mac OS X software is completely up-to-date. There is a Trojan Horse that pretended to be a Flash update, and installed Flash with malware included. The latest security updates removes the malware and all older versions. -

Your master password file is corrupt. You must reinstall OS X to fix it.
I realise that doesn't help, but its the only answer I found. -

Change your router channel number. Most times this works & is all you have to do.

Strong WiFi, but MacBook Pro says no internet connection.
Even though I have a strong WiFi signal (symbol in upper right corner of screen), Safari says I have no Internet connection. Mail also.
So I have to restart my router every 5-10 minutes. It works for a few minutes and then no connection again.
My iPad3 still has a connection when the MacBook Pro says none is available.
Router is a 2-Wire 1800HG.

Hi!I was restoring my MacBook pro to its factory setting by erasing the disk and reinstalling OS X lion via internet.but it is failing telling me that my network is very slow while I used the best network in my area.How should I get an OS X lion to my CP? NO power on my MacbookPro: it all started with Battery of my MacBook Pro saying it was not charging (even if the pro was plugged) and it then switched off and now wont turn back on. There is no light on the magsafe and no startup noises at all.
If you have Apple Care or your computer is still under warranty, give them a call and get a case number. Otherwise, take the computer to an Apple store or an AASP. Whichever is more convenient for you.
