My MacBook Pro wont work, it keeps saying install failed, what can I do?

Hi, I just downloaded OS X and now my laptop won't start, it keeps trying to install the update then it says install failed, please can anyone help

I've just spent 1/2 hour struggling with the same thing!
I did find a post on a different forum that mentioned that it might be to do with the carrier and they names O2 as being one. I've just come off the phone with Orange who is my carrier and he said that EE (not even Orange which is a subsiduary) is the only carrier that will allow the three way/multi-person call feature on iphones!

You need to purchase an external drive and start moving some files to it or you can try trashing some files that you no longer need.
Download OmniDiskSweeper and see where your larger files are... you can move them to an external drive or trash them: it's up to you.
I would also begin, since it's obviously don't have backups, a backup scheme or two. See Most commonly used backup methods.

Are you running Snow Leopard or Lion? Your info says Snow Leopard. If it's lion then:
In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
Then you can locate the folders mentioned.

Could be a wide variety of issues. It's unlikely that it's software-related. There could be interference, the battery in the remote might be dead, you might not have paired the remote properly...
Try using the remote right in front of the system. Do the media keys themselves work?

Hello, I´m using Lightroom 5 with all updates. If I import photos often I get the information, that some smart-"Vorschauen" could not create. I´m using a MacBook Pro. All other functions are well. What can I do?

I'm using Mac OSX 10.7.5
No the one with the caps seems to be working normally.This project with the caps now has four files. Originally I created it with about fifteen. I deleted eleven of them and edited the remaining four. The four files each have one version and its original. It wasn't until after I completed this work that I noticed the privious project when opened and scrolled had the entire library in it.
The test I did went like this. With the problem opened I deleted one file that I new existed prior to this problem. I than opened that project that I new it was from to see if it got deleted and found it gone and moved to trash. I think that tells me that if I delete all the files in the problem project I'll be in trouble. I also have inported to projects each with one file that I edited. They are working fine. I took a look in the problem project and this last
two imports show the thumdnails in it.
Currently on my Hard Drive I have 275 GB free space. My photo's take up 138 GB. As I said on Dec. 1st I backed up the system using time machine. So all of Dec. and part of Jan. inports won't be on it. I could work around the problem project and move those file to a safe place. I think it best not to back up the system with Time Machine until I'm confident the Aperture is runing properly. I'm happy that I control these system backups manually.
I'll need to find out how to copy the Aperture library to another place. I'm sure I can poke around and fined out the process.

Please help!! After installing OS X Maverick it told me to restart to fully update and now it keeps restarting and telling me that it has failed and to restart again, only to tell me again that it has failed and needs to restart. What should i do??

I went to the apple store and got my laptop looked over by a technician who then told me that the hard drive was broken, which was the reason why it was doing so. It's best to take it to the store and get a good decision on what's wrong with it and get the solution. I hope this helps.

What iPhone do you have? You can check in settings>>general>> about.
If you have a 3G you cannot update beyond iOS 4.2.1. The 3G is over 4 years old an was discontinued over 2 1/2 years ago. You need the latest ios to run the latest versions of some apps. If you have a 3GS you can update.
If your phone is not responding, reset it by pressing and holding down both the home button ad lock/ sleep button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.

Good sound costs money. And with a 5.1 system your usually doing surround sound decoding for BlueRay movies etc. for home theater purposes.
The PC 5.1 surround sound systems require a audio card in a PC tower and mainly used for playing 3D games so that won't work for any Mac at all. So don't buy a PC 5.1 surround sound system for your Mac.
Harmon Kardon has the GoPlay, it's a portable stereo with awesome sound (not as good as their theater systems) and you can hook up a analog male/male stereo mini cable to it from the Mac.
$200 and it has a iPod dock and also takes like 8 batteries so it's portable.
