My MacbookPro crashes

hi...
I have a 13 inch mid 2009 macbook pro (2.26 core 2 duo and 4gb ram) and till now I have had no problem with it...but it's been months that while working with photoshop or browsing web pages with lots of gif ads or while opening lots of apps it suddenly crashes and the white page is shown and restarts...but today it just got a lot worse and when I browse a couple of pages with chrome this **** happens again...but with safari it's ok of course it crashed a couple of times using safari. any way two nights ago I moved my laptop from table and suddenly some kind of sound like a spinning problem was coming from it, I turned of the laptop and again turned it on but the sound was still there but when I spanned my laptop in in angles it stopped and again when I had it on the table it started again, I don't know what it is but seems like a hard disk problem to me...of course it got really better in the morning but now sometimes a very weak sound is heard...I want to know of any one has had the experience and can it be the hard disk problem that causes these crashing problems or not... I know it's an old buddy but lately besides these crashes i have experienced lots of freeze problems in applications...
Thanks in advance for your kind helps...:)
hereby i present the panic log and hope it can help to understand the problem:

These are general fixes for crashes.  Make sure you have a current backup before proceeding.  You should always have a current backup and especially when your Mac is sick.
Run an Apple Hardware Test
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1509
Boot in Safe Mode.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1564?viewlocale=en_US
It will boot and shutdown slower than normal.
Does the problem go away in Safe Mode?
Try and SMC Reset.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
Did the problem go away?
Run disk diagnostics with Disk Utility.  This will check if the disk and filesystem are healthy.
Finder > Go > Utilities > Disk Utility
Click on the upper left disk icon.
Does the S.M.A.R.T. status say “Verified”.
If not the disk/SSD is unhealthy and needs to be replaced.
Click on the icon indented below, usually called “Macintosh HD”.
Verify Disk.
If it finishes with a green “OK” message then all is well with the disk.
If it shows errors in red then you have found a problem to address once the system is backed up.
Click on Repair Disk Permissions.
It will list a lot of stuff in black and white you can ignore.
Report any red error messages.
If Disk Utility reports any red errors then the next step will be to use Disk Utility to try to repair the disk.
Perform the steps in http://support.apple.com/kb/PH5836.
If it does not repair on the first pass, try once or twice more.
If it won’t finish with a green OK message then stop and post back for instructions.
Did this solve the problem?
If not then boot the Recovery Partition again and reinstall OS X.
Problem solved?

  • After installing Mountain Lion my MacBookPro crashes after disconnecting from Cinema Display

Ever since I installed Mountain Lion on my 15" MacBookPro (early 2011 first with Tunderbolt connector) it crashes after disconnecting from Cinema display (this Cinema does not have Thunderbolt but mini display port). It woked fine under Lion.
This crash occurs in following situation:
MacBookPro is in closed clam shell operation. When Cinema display is still connected, I put MacBookPro into sleep. Then I disconnect Cinema display mini diplay connector from Thuderbotl port.
When I get home and open MacBookPro it is in deep kernel crash.
    It happens every time.
Any ideas how to fix this?
    Thanks
    Rich

    You can bypass GateKeeper.

  • The hard drive on my MacBookPro crashed.  The Apple store replaced it.  Since then I can't open iphoto.  It asks to rebuild library; when I click yes, I get: "Aperture cannot access this library; reset permissions." I don't own Aperture!

The hard drive on my MacBookPro recently crashed.  The Apple store replaced it.  Since then I can't open iphoto.  It asks to rebuild library; when I click yes, I get: "Aperture cannot access this library; reset permissions." I don't own Aperture!  Any thoughts on how I can rebuild the iphoto library?  Currently I can't even get into it.

Back up all data. Don't continue unless you're sure you can restore from a backup, even if you're unable to log in.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click the following line to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    { sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -R $UID:staff ~ $_ ; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ ; } 2> /dev/null
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1 or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Boot into Recovery. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not  going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

  • MacBookPro crashed while running VM Fusion and Vista now, won't boot in OX

    Hello All...
I am not sure what to do about my MacBookPro 15.4 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo that I bout in August 09. I was running Vista via VM Fusion in a separate window on my Mac desktop when the computer froze. I booted up and now I only have the option of trying to boot in Windows or try to repair via the Windows installation disc. I want to reboot back into my OSX which it normally does until now.
I tried holding the X key and only the windows partition icon came up...I am using BootCamp and the windows section partitioned per Boot Camp Assistant.
Should I just try to repair what is corrupt in the windows part of it? Why is it only booting in Windows?
I didn't boot up into Windows Vista, I used VMware Fusion to boot up separately so I wonder why is my computer trying to boot up in Windows only?
How do I force the OSX system to boot?
This is what the Windows Boot Manager is telling me:
    File: \windows\system32\config\system
    Status: 0xc000000f
Info: Windows failed to load because the system registry file is missing, or corrupt.
Please help...I want to Boot in OSX, not Windows...
    thanks in advance...
    Jank

Insert the Mac OS X install disk and boot up from it by pressing and holding down the C key. Choose your language and wait for the main menu to load. In the menu bar, go to Utilities --> Disk Utility. Click it and wait for it to open. In the side bar, you should see your hard disks and partitions labelled there. Do you see your "Macintosh HD" partition?

  • I am having difficult problems with the FocusritePro14 it works for a few then the firewire light flashes it cuts in an out then my MacBookPro crashes and restarts what can be the problem?

I am trying to figure out why this interface never works like it should, I have the lastest drivers 10.8 OS, The firewire cuts in an out and then crahses my computer, it was working fine for a good month, and then it does this. The people at Focusrite are clueless to what is going on. This is horrible engenerring  on there part. There are three lights on the interface they all light up, then half way through a recording or just lisiting to music, the FW light flashes and cuts out, and now the mac is rebooting when it does that. I highly doubt it is a simple fix, or a bad wire. I have the original cable for the interface that came with it, hooked up to a sonet adapter to fit in the macbook pro because the geniuses at apple decided that they would make that port small.
Sorry about mispeling its 3 am here in Ohio.  Please can someone help
    Thank you

  • When opening a file Finder crashes (every time!)

    MY SPECS:
    MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2011)
    2.4 GHz Intel Core i5
    16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB
    and I am running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 (14C1514)
    THE PROBLEM
So the recurring problem is, when I try to open a file in finder, finder just crashes, and relaunches.
However I can open applications in spotlight but whenever i try to open anything in finder it just crashes (except when I open an application).
I noticed this had began yesterday after downloading a few songs from chrome, but wouldn't open in finder and it just crashed/relaunched.
So what I have done is restarted my laptop twice, gone in Disk Utilities performed some repairs and it did nothing.

Finder crashes are often caused by "Google Drive." If it's installed, I suggest you first check for an update. If that doesn't solve the problem, remove it according to the developer's instructions. You may need to start the computer in safe mode to do so. Back up all data before making any changes.
If you use Google Drive and don't want to remove it, then try deselecting the option in its preferences to "show status icons." According to reports, that may be enough to stop the crashing.
Similar cloud-data clients such as "Dolly Drive," "iDrive," "Open Drive," "Transporter Desktop," and others can cause the same problem.

  • Re-install after HD crash

    Hi there,
Today, the HDD of my MacBookPro crashed. Tomorrow I will bring him to the Apple store to repair. I'm lucky he's still under guarantee.
On my desktop iMac and MacBookPro I have CreativeCloud installed (so... I've installed it 2 times).
Question: Can I re-install Creative Cloud on my MacBookPro when I have him back (in about 2 weeks of time)?
    Thank you,
    Wim

    yes.
if you're still signed in on two other computers, you will be prompted to sign out from them first.

  • I need to restore my macbookpro from my time machine, but it says it needs a destination disk, which is cannot find. How do I fix this?

On Friday evening my macbookPro crashed, and now comes up with a white screen and a flashing folder every time I turn it on. I read that I could restore my mac from my time machine, and so enterered cmdR to get to that stage when starting up the mac
went though the steps to restore from time machine, selected my external harddrive as the source, but then it requires a 'destination disk'. It says "searching for destination disk", but none comes up. This means I cannot continue my restore.
    Help?

Which disk should it be? I have seen others on here refer to MackintoshHD, but that does not come up as an option on any of my disk utility menus, i only have MyPassport for mac (my external harddrive), superdrive, and disk0, which has indented underneath it Mac OS X Base System

  • Mac harddrive crashed. Can't start download of CS3 Design Premium

I have lost access to my CS3 design premium suite because the drive on my MacBookPro crashed. I have the serial number but when I click for the download it doesn't work, doesn't ask for the serial number. Just a dead end. How can I get CS3 back on my Mac?

  • Some kind of panic is causing many crashes

my first brand new macbookpro crashed several times a day. the crash reports indicated a panic of some sort. i spent three hours at the 'genious bar' and they couldnt locate the problem, but the diagnosis came back with an error on the memory. they gave me a new laptop, and i have had seven new crashes in 2 days.
has anyone else had this problem with the new intels?
    are there any suggestions?

A multi record form block ?? Is that a "tabular" type form ?? I tried that but I couldn't get it to work.
    Here is the SQL :
    SELECT a.staff_type, b.proj_number,COUNT(a.staff_id)
    FROM staff a, project_staff b
    WHERE a.staff_id = b.staff_id
    GROUP BY a.staff_type, b.proj_number.
This works perfectly in SQL+. I amended it because I did not want the project number being displayed:
    SELECT a.staff_type, COUNT(a.staff_id)
    FROM staff a, project_staff b
    WHERE a.staff_id = b.staff_id
    GROUP BY a.staff_type
This is perfect in SQL+. I have 2 "5 row tabular" text items, one called "qty" the other called "description". The form is a Master Detail where the Master provides the Project number, the Detail I need to display the results of this SQL code.
I tried amending the code using references to block and text item fields but at best I was able to get it to work but the count for each row returned was always 1 (returned to the "qty" text item).
I know the code the code below is wrong for the Post Query trigger:
    begin
    select COUNT(staff_id)
    into :proj_staff.qty
    from proj_staff
    where staff.id = *** I forgot what I put in here now !!****
    and proj_number = :project.proj_num
    end;
I had a 2nd piece of code in the Post Query trigger to populate the "description" text item which worked:
    begin
    select staff_type
    into :proj_staff.description
    from staff
    where staff.id = :proj_staff.staff_id
    end;
Any idea how I can make the COUNT function work ???
    Cheers.
PS - I take it I can't use the natural join code cos it kept coming up with errors when I tried to compile it ?!!!

Now when I connect my iPhone 3G it does not show up in iTunes.
What has happened and what am I to do?

When you say you have tried all the suggested steps, what have you done?  If it is being seen on another computer, I would think that the problem is with the computer you are using and not the phone.  Try using another usb port on the computer.  Then try this...

  • How can I convert files from pages 08 files without pages 09?

I am extremely dissatisfied with the latest iWork (13?) applications. My 2008 MacbookPro crashed on me, so I purchased a new 15" MacbookPro last month. Due to a known issue that prohibits my new Mac from being restored from my Time Capsule backup (thanks, Apple...), we finally got it worked out so that all my files were restored, but I had to reinstall my applications as I could find them. I had iWork 09 on my old machine, but it was from a family pack years ago, for which I do not have the discs. So, now I don't have Pages 09 to convert all my older files (I had no legitimate reason to convert my graduate work from 08 because it all worked in '08 and '09) so that I can open all my .pages files in Pages. Why would Apple make Pages that cannot open .pages files?! This is quite frustrating, and I'm hoping someone has an answer for how to convert .pages files from iWork '08 so that I can open them in the latest Pages without having to purchase iWork '09 (AGAIN!). Apple is really ramping up its leaving people behind...

    Those are your choices.
Buy iWork '09 which is a good solution or somehow reinstall Pages '08 so you can export to Word .doc/x files.
We warned long and hard that not updating to Pages '09 would eventually lead to Pages '08 being left behind, although Apple was particularly ruthless the way it finally did it.
Also that anything using Apple's proprietary formats is going to end up with the same fate.
