My Mail will not work after ios 6 update on iPhone 4S

My Mail will not load any emails after the iOS 6 update on my iPhone 4S. I have tried a hard reset, and deleting my email account from iPhone but neither works. My iPhone will delete the account but next time I go into settings, I see the account in there! I have no idea what to do, please help!

Ask your carrier to send you the settings over wifi and then install them that way.
I'm on giffgaff and I used the giffgaff app from the store to sort this out.
Overall though I must say Apple has let itself down on this as why isn't something written in the ios script that keeps the original settings??
Very Poor indeed and I held off using Apple products for years for this very reason!!

I'm having the same issues, except only one of my Exchange accounts took a dive after upgrading to iOS 5.1. My Gmail account (set up as Exchange) works flawlessly but my native Exchange account (work e-mail) stopped working after the update.
Post update to 5.1: (work Exchange account) I could view my inbox and view individuals emails in the inbox, but I was unable to send any emails. Mail started asking for my password after the update (for the affected Exchange account) but once entered, it failed to verify.
I completley removed the Exchange account and rentered all the account settings but again, failure to verify any information. I was hoping my password might have changed but it did not. Also, maybe the IT guy at the office (not very bright) changed some settings but the only difference is the new iOS update.
And while playing with the iPhone trying to make it work again, I noticed something really weird. Old emails (2-3 weeks) from multiple email accounts to include the inop Exchange account started showing up again on the pull down notification menu. I would clear these out of the notificaion menu but they always kept reapearing; very strange.

How come my Wi-Fi network will not work after I updated my iMac to OS X Mavericks?

I just updated the OS on my iMac (late 2009) to OS X Mavericks and now the Wi-Fi network that I had previously set up and used for internet access for my iPad mini and my Nintendo Wii U will not work. It worked fine before with Snow Leopard.

Begin by restarting the computer, if that does not help then do 2-3 SMC and PRAM resets (instructions below) and if those do not work reset your modem and router (I don't care if other devices work) and ensure the Router is has the most up-to-date firmware installed.

Safari and Mail will not open after software update

After doing the monthly software update yesterday, my Mail and Safari programs will not open. I click on the icon in the dock or in the Applications folder and I get nothing. The icon in the dock jumps, but nothing opens. I've read several other discussions and tried dragging several files out of the library, such as plist files and history, etc., but they still won't open. The software update only updated iTunes and iPhoto and included the most recent security update. I have not tried to reload Safari. If I do that (and it works), what do I need to do for Mail? Will I lose all my emails? Can someone tell me what I can do to get both programs back working properly? Thanks!

Another approach is to reapply the 10.3.9 combined update. "Repair permissions" via Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
As far as your e-mail's are concerned, the database files are maintained in your User account>Library>Mail folder. It's very important you backup this folder periodically to external media regardless of circumstances to preclude losing your e-mails in the event of file corruption.
Best maintenance strategy is a full backup of your HD on a bootable external (firewire) hard drive. Makes life a lot easier in the event you need to revert your HD to its state prior to an System Update gone bad.

Iphone 4s not working after ios update 6.1.3

I have an iphone 4s boxed, brandnew and unopened for a year not until March 2013, for a couple of days i have used it, worked excellent but after i have unlocked it through at&t and updated it to IOS 6.1.3 it went to re-activation mode again. Tried several times to activate it but no succeess. I went to an apple store to discuss the problem of the update and consequently the result it brought to my iphone4s but denied a replacement because it was passed the warranty period. I was offered a replacement (for a fee) of $200 but i refused since i believe i havent enjoyed the iphone for years, has not even dropped, water-damaged nor scratched. The manager on duty (Mary, Fairview Mall, Ontario) insisted that my iphone 4s has a growing software problem already and i just dont know of... I reiterated to her that the unit was working as brandnew just like many of my apple products i have. I havent called the apple support telephone support though. What should i do now? Please help guys. I cannot take it paying another $200 for an iphone that was practically brandnew and went useless after the update. I have a record of the at&t authorized unlocking request. Should i escalate the appeal to where? Please help.. Thanks a lot guys.

The fact that you chose to leave the device in the box for a year (a rather unintelligent decision) has no bearing on the warranty. Warranty starts from the date of the original purchase.
You can try basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide which is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).

Which OS update? Which version of OS X are you running? Which model macBook Pro do you have? What happens when you try to open Mail?

I know it must be frustrating when you iPhone will not ring when you have an incoming call. The first thing I would suggest as far as troubleshooting would be to check the ring/vibrate switch on the side of your iPhone, just above the volume buttons, to make sure the ringer isn’t silenced. If the ringer is not silenced, continue to read over the information in the attached article to troubleshoot your iPhone sound.

Ipad mini will not restore after ios update 7.1.2

I recieved a message last night about the update 7.1.2 for my ipad mini. I left my ipad on overnight while plugged in while it was updating. i woke up this morning seeing my ipad must be connected to itunes. I connect my ipad to itunes and it must be restored. Every time i try to restore and update the ipad from itunes i get the error code 3004. I have tried hard resetting the ipad, re-downloading the latest version of itunes, and disconnecting and reconnected the usb plug.

Resolve network errors
Related errors: 17, 1004, 1013, 1638, 3014, 3194, 3000, 3002, 3004, 3013, 3014, 3015, 3194, 3200, or "There was a problem downloading the software," or say the "device isn't eligible for the requested build.". These alerts mean that your computer is either having difficulty contacting the Apple update server or communicating with your device.
Check your computer for software or settings that might cause communication issues between your computer and Apple or between your computer and your device.

Camera will not work after iOS 8 update

AAfter I installed the update 8 my camera stopped working. The front works for a split second but the rear has a black or blurry screen. I've reset it and nothing works.

I callef Apple and they suggested I restore it and wipe it clean. I did that and it still wouldn't work. I took it to Apple inside the mall and they instantly said it was a problem with the hardware and replaced it. They said the problem might have always been there and the update just brought it to the surface. They had me out in 15 min with a new phone. But as I was walking out of the mall I realized the screen would not respond to touch. I turned around and went back. They write DOA on the box and switched that one for another. This one works great now. They said all Apple prodycts have a one year warranty, thankfully I've only had my phone 11 months so they was able to give me a new one. I was very pleased with the help at Apple. I'm sorry you all are having the same problem, it was very frustrating and I had wished I'd never updated it. I highly suggest taking it to Apple and I hope they will do the same they did for me.

Mail is not working after recent update

After updating my phone yesterday, the Mail application no longer works. I get an error message stating, "The user or password for "Gmail" is incorrect." I know this isn't true! I logged in and out of gmail on three different devices to confirm my password. I also deleted this mail account and tried to set it up again and I get the same error message. I restarted the phone a few times and rentered my mail account several times.
Please help!

are you using an Application specific password? if so, you will need to revoke it and re-enter the new password on the ipad.

I've played with java preference settings and it makes no difference.
Have you checked the brower preferences to make sure the plug-in is enabled? It appears maybe you have.
