My mailbox won't open, can you help?
When I click on the mailbox icon, the mailbox wont open. i can only get my mail by going to Yahoo mail. The mail icon was working this morning. Can you help?

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
If it still doesn't work...
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when trying to open Mail.

I have previously synced my iPod with iTunes, but then I changed my computer and all the backups were there but i had to reinstall itunes and it won't sync, can you help?

Yu have to run the library upgrader - it is in your applications folder in the utilities folder - double click on it to exceute it - then launch iPhoto after running the library upgrader

Safari hanging or won't open, can anyone help?
Having trouble w/ Safari hanging when I try to start it or if it opens it only stays open from 30secs to a little over a minute. I had the problem with both Safari 3&4, though not always with 3, it just seems to have gone left one day & haven't been able to sort out why. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Posting the log info from the last crash below, if other info is needed just let me know what i need to provide. Thanks in advance.

It could be any number of things, but I'd say the most likely is having incompatible Input Managers
installed, which include:
Growl 1.1.2, located at /Library/InputManagers/GrowlSafari
Growl Preference Pane, located at /Library/Preference Panes
SIMBL 0.8, located at /Library/Application Support/SIMBL (current version is 0.8.2)
LCC Scroll Enhancer, located at /Library/Application Support/Logitech
You should remove those items and then restart Safari to see if the problem continues. If not, then one
or more of those are incompatible, and you can test for that by adding them back one at a time, restarting
and quitting Safari each time. If the problem happens again, then you know the most recent item you
added back is incompatible and you should delete it entirely. -
CS2 install on a new H,Drive won't perform can you help?
Hi Guys
I have been happily using CS2 on a Power Mac with PPC chip running 10.4 Mac OS, until the hard drive gave in. Therefore new hard drive to kick life into the machine and update to 10.5.8.
Loaded on CS2 no problem. Try launching indesign it bombs, Illustrator opens and then crashes.
Product went through activation no problem and never had any issues with previous hard drive. I am going to upgrade to CS5 but waiting for new machine with Intel chip, but need to get this up and running in the meantime.

Holding down the center/select button and the menu button will reboot your ipod. See if that helps. Also, I'd recommend something else- I had nothing but trouble with my ipod classic until I spent $20 to get Mac OS Mountain Lion. It did what you said and sometimes wouldnt play, or wouldnt power on...
Try rebooting your ipod and let me know what happens and maybe in the future obtain Mountain Lion to aide your ipod in functionality.

I had to update as it wouldn't recognise my iphone anymore, although it opened fine prior to the upgrade.
Try a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. If it still isn't working, then restore the phone.

Hi i have purchased a lightning to sd card but i cannot get the photos to open can you help please.
How did the photos get onto the SD card that you are using ? Photos (and videos) on the card will only be recognised if the card has a DCIM directory off the root of it, and the photos are underneath that directory and their filenames are exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus their file extension (that should be how most digital cameras write photos to a card).

Hi there, Well, i thing i might have had the same problem (if you dont mean the selecting part, then try keyboad with usb and without if u dont have a macbook pro or so), i did the same and after selecting windows it said "No bootable disk" or " no boot disk" or something like that and the installer wont start when i was trying to install via CD/DVD.
The sulution is to use 2 usb-drives, one for the support drivers from apple and one for the windows it self after burning the CD/DVD to the usb on a PC using the windows own tools and creating a ISO file.
(there might be problems whit CD/DVD install sometimes)
The ISO file on a own USB is the most importat thing!! (and even apple and windows didnt know that but me and a technikal support guy from the store i bought it managed to fix it after like 4 days )

I can't get Firefox to start at all. It won't even open so I can't reset it. Can you help?
Firefox has been my browser for the last 7 years and I have never had a problem with it. But over the weekend it crashed and now it just won't open. I've uninstalled and redownloaded it but it still won't open. I can't reset anything as I can't get into it. I'm not sure what recent updates or add ons I had.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
