My MAX software only lists Software under My System

I am learning LabView and in one of the four tutorials it asks that you activate MAX via the icon on your desktop.  When I activate MAX only the "Software" catagory shows under "My System" instead of the five catagories (Data Nieghborhood, Devices and Interfaces, Scales, Software, and IVI Drivers).  What can be done to fix this problem?

It has been sometime since you've posted - so I do hope you resolved your issue. But I just wanted to offer my support just incase.
This sounds like a MAX Database Corruption - going by some research into similar symptoms previous customers have seen. The resolution was to follow the guidance written in the following knowledgebase article,

However - I do have some questions:
1.  Have they always been missing?

  • Movies only show up under Songs LIst

    On my iPod Classic 80GB, movies (purchased and manually added) only show up under the songs list. I cannot change the info (movie, tv show) in iTunes because that is not an option for files in the songs list. I have been able to re-add a couple of the manually added movies and they show up in the right place, but the purchased movies I cannot do this with. This only became a problem today and has not been a problem in the past. They show up under the songs list only and not in the movies even though the info shows them as mp4. Any help is appreciated.

    I would say that is a good indication that the movies are not actually synced. Check your sync settings in iTunes and also make sure that there is actually enough disk space available on the ATV for the movies that have yet to sync.

    I appreciate your prompt response.
    We have an Australian client here in the Philippines and would want to purchase an adobe software under Creative Cloud Licensing.
    Since this type of licensing is not yet available here in the Philippines, they are suggesting that they can purchase it in their country.
    My main concern is, will there be any conflict upon installing/activating an adobe software under Creative Cloud which will be purchased from their country?
    And what are the steps for installing and activating a software under this type of license.

    Can you please explain what this means ?
    does this mean that you are currectly packaging software for release to the update OR does it mean that you are still writing it, and have not yet released it to the Operator for approval.
    If the operator is sil waiting for it, then it will be several weeks at least before it goes out for updating phones

    This is a new feature called 'resume' that you resume from where you left off.
    There is a way to turn it off, go to system preferences>general>uncheck restore windows

  • Running old apple software under sheepshaver

    Having finally successfully got sheepshaver v2.3 running, I now find that my old apps won't transfer or work!!!

    I've loaded up OS 8.5 from disc- after taking the disc out and giving it a good clean to get a full install- and it includes Simpletext, Apple FM Radio, Network Browser and Qicktime Pictureviewer and Movieplayer. These all load and text saved in Simpletext can be transferred as a file via the Unix folder on the virtual machine to the shared folder on the MacBook and opened with Textedit.
    Attempts to move my old apps into the shared folder have led to some apps folders moving onto the desktop of the virtual machine and disappearing from the shared folder and some staying in the shared folder and appearing nowhere on the virtual machine. The folders on the virtual machine have documents and subfolders but appear to have lost the applications.
    I am very puzzled.
    I should add that I got the above sorted on 13.7.07 which was a Friday, so it may be a gremlin.
    Any help/ advice/ cash/ ancient monuments will be gratefully received.
    BTW- I've upgraded from OS7.5 via 8.6 from old PowerMacs that happily ran all my old apps. I hope to have at least ClarisWorks4 and MiniCad 6 running as I have a multitude of such files.

    I've had this Intel 10.4 for a year and a half and don't run any Classic or earlier apps. I gave all the software to the folks that bought my G-3 and way back Preforma systems.
    Yes good point elmac! The newer software for each system was always alot better and I could always bring my photo's and doc's to the new system. I would keep my systems for years then make a big jump to the newest system, the hardest part was that thrid party software was hard to come by and expensive.
    I was just giving the OP something that may help them with that MiniCad 6 and other early software. I know the feeling, it hard to give away over a $1000.00 of old worthless software and a 8+ year old $2300.00+ computer for a $100 bill....

  • DVD player only shows video under Intel graphics

    I have a Macbook Pro 15", i7 2.66, and just noticed that Apple's DVD Player app will only show video under Intel graphics. When it's switched to the Nvidia 330M, all I get is a black screen (+ audio).
    Oddly, the VLC app works fine, so I'm (sort of) hoping this is a software issue. Anyone else experience this?

    Agreed it is a shame. This is the second time to hear of this glitch. I do not know if it constitutes a bug however.
    If you want to report it to Apple's engineers, send a bug report via its Bug Reporter system. To do this, join the Mac Developer Program—it's free and available for all Mac users and gets you a look at some development software. Since you already have an Apple username/ID, use that. Once a member, go to Apple BugReporter and file your bug report. The nice thing with this procedure is that you get a response and a follow-up number thus starting a dialog with engineering.

  • Z97 MPOWER MAX AC not listing M.2 SSD

    Hi. I've just mounted a new PC with the MoBo I wrote in the subject, Z97 Mpower Max AC. I've installed an M.2 SSD, a Samsung XP941 256Gb. The problem is, I can boot from this drive (wich has Windows 7 installed), but I am not getting full speed and I can't enable intel rapid start.
    If I search the disk on the connected devices list (in the BIOS general information settings), M.2/Sata 5 appears to be empty, Samsung is not even listed there, but it appears in the boot list as a SATA disk. This disk is indeed a PCIe drive, and this MoBo is supposed to recognize PCIe SSDs in the M.2 port. Also if I try to set the boot in UEFI only, the system is not able of booting from M.2, so I think the problem has to be something related to the UEFI, but I'm not sure...
    I have 1.8 BIOS version, and I have installed Rapid Storage.
    Any ideas?

    If you install the OS by legacy mode, you can't boot them with UEFI mode enabled. And M.2 PCI-E will not be listed on System Info(M.2/SATA 5), only M.2 SATA will be listed there, M.2 PCI-E will only be shown under boot sequence, so I think it's normal. About Rapid Start, did you install Smart Utilities??

  • Max crash under "Remote systems"

    Most of the time when MAX will crash when the mouse is clicked over the cRIO-9014 icon under remote systems.
    Is there a fix for this? MAX 4.5 and VISA 4.4 are the software installed in the targets. See jpg file for items under remote systems.

    The mouse can be clicked to open all of the remote system objects but when the mouse is clicked over Ni-cRIO9014-013DBB8D, the Ni-cRIO9014-013DBB48 or the "Devices and Interfaces" icons MAX freezes (mouse icon becomes an hour glass). There are no warnings and after waiting for about 10 minutes I click the close button on the top right hand corner. See jpg message for the response.
    I've made a project with the cRIO 9014 and Ni9211 modules and it does work (can record tempeature). It seems to occur more often because I was able to get the URL for the project by clicking on the Ni-cRIO9014013DBB8D but now I'm not able to anymore.
    Hope this helps to better define the problem.

  • I am running OS X 10.6.8.  iCloud says to download Lion 10.7.2.  I thought I was running Lion.  Selected software update and it says there is no new software for my system.  How do I know if I am running Lion?

    You already have all the free updates that are pertinent to Snow Leopard. Software Update only finds and installs free updates to your Apple software — it doesn't do anything with upgrades that must be purchased, like Lion. If you were to purchase and install Lion, Software Update would then find and offer to install all the free updates that are applicable to Lion.

    No, second generation AppleTV outputs 720p HD only, the 3rd generation outputs 1080p.
    2nd gen can decode 1080p in theory but the output resolution maxes out at 720p.
    If it's any consolation AppleTV 2's can fetch good 2nd hand values compared to ATV 3's.

    It sounds like your issue here is that iTunes can not find the files for some of the songs you have brought into it. This happens occasionally even if the songs have not been moved from the location that iTunes places them on import or purchase. When you try to use the song, iTunes prompts you to find the file, as you have seen.
    To find the file, use the information in this article to navigate through the iTunes media folders -
    Locate and organize your iTunes files
    If you are still unable to locate the files, you may need to download them from the iTunes store again, or rip them from your CDs. See this article for assistance with downloading your past purchases -

    Put your install DVD into the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and reboot. Be sure to either use the disc that came with your Mac, or, if you installed a later Mac OS X version from disc, use the newer disc. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option Key until the Install Disk shows up) until the apple shows up. That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
    When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Reset Password. After resetting the password use Startup Disk from the same menu to choose your hard drive for startup and restart.
