My Media Video's and Music ALL OF A SUDDEN are not Supported

I've had my Style for 3 weeks and yes i have experienced the same issues as every one else with short battery life, internet speed, and freezes but what i'm really becoming frustrated on is all of a Sudden none of my media imported from the memory card or the ones embedded in the phone will play i keep getting a message un supported media type

seems like either your memory card is corrupt and needs to be formatted KB10527. i would even go so far as to recomend that you perform a security wipe or reload the operating system on the device using desktop manager b/c your saying the device is freezing.
or your device is a company phone that is on a BES server and there is an IT policy on there that is causing the issue.
if anything else - try a reboot - battery pull - or press and hold alt, right shift, and del.

I've imported from a video camera and the files on the laptop are not playing the sound, is there any way to retrieve it?

I have just uploaded a large number of files from a panasonic video camera on to imovie. I have never had this problem in the past, but when I try to play back the files on my laptop there is no sound. I have tried increasing the sound and normalising via the audio settings, and the sound is playing fine on the video camera. Is there anything I can do?

I coach youth soccer and use a PDF template to save my sessions in. Today I got this message when trying to open one of my sessions.

If iCloud Backup is set to Off in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, it means that your iPod will not automatically back up to iCloud, but will automatically back up to your computer when you sync. The only way you would risk losing data is if you have never synced with iTunes before. If that's the case, you have to take special precautions to avoid losing data, as outlined in this user tip: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141.

In addition to Mike's suggestions, you only have 4GB of RAM and Mavericks does use more RAM than other versions. You may also want to look at the apps that startup on login and the possiblity of upgrading RAM.

Recurring theme with the 4s losing alerts except for the phone ringing. Most complaints seem to center on the 7.1 upgrade. The fix is dodgy, putting in a charger, playing a you tube video then pulling out the charger and wiggling it until you get the sound back. When you get the sound back, the volume buttons start to work again. Alternate solutions involve cleaning the docking port with a toothbrush, running a pick over the electrodes etc.

Apple's official advice on duplicates is here... HT2905: How to find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library. It is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls such as lost ratings and playlist membership.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this thread for background, this post for detailed instructions, and please take note of the warning
to backup your library before deduping.
(If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to show it temporarily or CTRL+B to keep it displayed.)
The most recent version of the script can tidy dead links as long as there is at least one live duplicate to merge stats and playlist membership to and should cope sensibly when the same file has been added via multiple paths.

Apps open and close all of the sudden

Ok, my iphone was working fine until 10 minutes ago. I had no issues with it and all of the sudden, I tried opening up an app and all it will do is just open and close all of the sudden. And it's with ALL apps! I tried doing everything there is to do to solve the issue and nothing. I even followed someone's post about downloading a free app and nothing. I have tried restoring it, doing the sleep/wake and home button till apple logo comes up, and turning it off normally, and even re-syncing to computer and NOTHING! What should I do?

Download another free App - doesn't matter which one.
Sync and then hold down the Home and top button until the phone switches of completely.
Restart the phone and you should be fine - you did nothing wrong but its a sign of a bad sync.

I have NEVER been able to connect this one device, but all the others are fine. I'm at my wits end. Is there someone out there who can help a relative novice figure out what's going on?
