my memory card is not showing up on the home screen when i plug it in but it shows the computer found it in system preferences. when i plugged these into a imac back in school it showed up how come its not showing up on my less then 24hr old mac. sorry beginner mac user

Finder > Finder Menu > Finder Preferences (these are not in System Preferences)
The General pane has checkboxes for various devices to show on the Desktop. A memory card is considered an external drive. If you want to see it on the Desktop when it mounts, check the external drives checkbox.

My iPad 4 does not show up on my TV screen when in AirPlay mirroring mode using WiFi. The iPad displays AirPlay set to TV with the Mirroring On (green).
My iPad IOS software is 8.2 and my Apple TV software is at 7.1. The TV displays the Apple Menu. The “Settings” does however displays the General menu allowing me to see:
Apple software: 7.1 (7003)
Apple TV: Model No. A1464, Part No. MD199B/A
Signal Strength shows 5 circles.
It does not display the iPad screen but when I use the BT Sport App I can hear the sound but there is no video. I have searched the internet for a solution to no avail. The problem first arose when the IOS was at 8.1+ but it worked correctly briefly when I updated to IOS 8.2. Can you help please?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device.

IPod Touch 3rd generation is not turning on and gets really hot when I plug it in but is not charging...

I have an iPod Touch 3rd generation and yesterday I was using it and noticed that it reset to a different time zone and when I dug a little deeper realized that it reset the date to December of 1969. I just went in and changed it all back. I was out of the house all day today and didn't take it with me, when I went to use it, it wouldn't turn on. I assumed it was dead, so I plugged it in and got ready for bed. I realized that the charging screen never appeared and it never made the little noise it does when you plug it in. I picked it up and right near where the charger plugs in, it was very hot. I use it when it'd plugged in from time to time and it is NEVER that hot. I then tried to plug it into the computer where it again didn't do anything and didn't show up as a device that was plugged in on my iTunes. Again, it got very hot very quickly. I am using the cord that came with it and an actual Apple brand wall charger. I don't know what else to do. Some people said to hold the two buttons down for a little bit, but nothing happened on mine. Please help!

Warm is normal, too hot to handle, literally, is not.
If you're concerned, make an appointment at your local apple store and have them check your charger out.

My 2007 iMac seems to reset the home screen when not in use. I am running mavericks and have had no other issues... just curious if this is a sign of something worse or to come?

I updated to Mavericks and love it. Its made both my 2007 iMac and 2007 MacBookPro faster. But I have noticed in the last couple of days that my iMac screen with periodically go blank except for the background photo I set... then just as fast the icons on the desktop flash back up. Finder crashes are often caused by "Google Drive." If it's installed, I suggest you remove it according to the developer'sinstructions. You may need to boot in safe mode to do so. Back up all data before making any changes.
If you use Google Drive and don't want to remove it, then try deselecting the option in its preferences to show a status icon. According to reports, that may be enough to stop the Finder from crashing.

yesterday i tryed to sownload the new software OS5 for my iPhone and after waiting the proccess to end, suddenly a message appeares saying the iphone wont restore!
after that the iphone stop working at all and not showing the home screen to me !
just it works by showiin the apple logo then a loading process that works for ever till the barrerry ends.
so please help meand can i fix it here or i have to go to a maintinace shop

Connect the charger and let it charge for at least 30 minutes before you try to turn it on. Then let it charge untill full. The iPhone (or iPad) need at least a little charge before you can turn it on.

Memory card files not showing up

i have a 6230 and i use pc suite, but in mobile phone browser my memory card does not show up. all the other files are there, and the memory card works fine in the phone.
any ideas?

If the above doesn't work, please find out what software version your phone has by typing *#0000# into the keypad. If it is an oldish one you might consider a SW upgrade.

Sat P105-S2036 WinVista SD memory card device not shown in WIndows Explorer

The label on the botton of the laptop says the Model Number is PSPAOU-1W2036. I have had it for about 2 years. It has a single slot SD memory card only reader in the front. During this time till 2 days ago, it ran factory installed Windows XP MCE just fine. This SD reader shows up in Device Manager as well as in My Computer Windows Explorer window as a drive with letter D since I renamed the DVD drive to letter R. During the last two days, I successfully upgraded the operating system to Windows Vista Ultimate. Everything works fine except that the SD memory card reader no longer shows in neither Device Manager, nor Windows Explorer. But the Device Manager does show a working SDA Standard Compliant SD Host Controller, and a nonworking Mass Storage Controller (missing driver) under Other devices (See Attachment 1). What needs to be done to make the SD memory card reader a working device in Windows Vista? Thank to answers in advance.

Missing "message" from above: The iPad "DGMTR" is synced with another iTunes library on DGMTR's MacBook Pro. Do you want to erase this iPad and sync with this iTunes library? An iPad can be synched with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iTunes library.
I thought the libraries were the same.
