My menu bar all of a sudden is hidden how can I access the reset

When I opened FF this morning the menu bar was gone and I have not been able to find the reset
WHAT HAPPENED?

You get the orange Firefox menu button when the menu bar is hidden.

We'll need to know more to beable to help. Do you want to try to restore your photos from your iPhone to your Mac, or try to recover the photos from the old iPhoto Library on your Mac?
What is the situation of your Mac now? In hat way did it crash? A hardware problem with the drive? Does the system not start properly? Does iPhoto not launch? Do you still have the iPhoto Library on your mac or a backup, so we could try to rescue the photos there?

On the iPhone you cannot access the "package contents" - IOS hides the file system from the users. To restore photos from your phone share all iPhoto photos to your Camera Roll, that are not already in the Camera Roll, and then connect the iPhone via USB and import the Camera Roll to iPhoto or Image Capture. To retrieve photos from a corruptrd iPhoto Library on your Mac we need to know the version number and more about the "crash" you experienced, the state of your mac, the system, the data. Please post back with more details.

I have done a little experimenting: 1-close all open windows (I found that I had to do this step in order to keep Safari from hanging-will be explained later). 2: Remove all data in Prefs. 3: Immediately close the prefs window (no window should be open at this point) and quit Safari. Try to complete step 3 fast as possible; I have it down to a few seconds. The reason I urge you to close all windows is that Safari hangs until forced to quit upon immediately quitting after removing cookies. I think the auto page reload in Lion is the cause of these hiccups but I can't be sure about that. The hasty quit I found is crucial to success. Don't know why that is but it could prevent the data from re-populating. A quick flush, if you will. Hit me back if you need any of my suggestions clarified; a bit wordy, I know

Sync Icon on Menu Bar? What does this mean? How can I get more info on it?

I just noticed for the first time, a SYNC icon on the Macbook Pro/Lion menu bar and it is going strong - twirling its little heart out. Im not sure what this is or what it is doing. Im having a feeling something got set up (I dont really know what Im doing ) that had to do with maybe syncing a calendar with Google? for an Android phone? Is t here a way I can check out what this is and what its doing - It just keeps twirling around so Im not sure what its doing or how long it will take and I dont know that I want it doing wh atever its doing. Maybe it has something to do with contacts? The only option I can find when I click on the icon, it says 'cancel sync.' Is there a way to "get info" - and find out what its doing. I dont want it twirlling forever as I assume thats going to eat up the battery...I dont have anything set up to sync consistently so I dont know whats its doing or whether I should stop it. Its been going on for like over 5 minutes and that doesnt seem right to me

If it's a one-time "glitch," you can try restarting your computer with the iPod still connected. Try ejecting again after the restart.
If the problem recurs, you may have a process running (other than iTunes) that is accessing the iPod's storage. When connected, the iPod's "disk" is like other mounted volumes. This process may be some type of utility that continously monitors your mounted volumes for security reasons, such as to prevent access by malware.
If you know of such a program that you have running in the background, there may be a setting to exclude your iPod's disk.

Export your address book as a Comma Separated (csv) file and then open it in Excel. Then you can arrange the data any way you desire.
Open the Address Book window and from the menu bar select Tools-Export.

If you had read carefully, Migration Assistant asks what you want to do in this event. That would have precluded the redundancy.
Part of the fundamental design of OS X is to separate user accounts so that one user can't interfere with another. It's not possible to directly merge an account with another, but you can copy whatever you need to the Shared folder - it is in your Users folder.
Log in to one account, prefereably a smaller one, and drag the files and folders into Shared. Log out, log into the account you want to be "primary" and drag the files from Shared into their appropriate locations. When you have copied everything you need delete the redundant account.
Do this for each of them.
Or, you can just run Migration Assistant again and follow the prompts that address the situation you described. It involves creating a secondary, temporary account from which you can administer the transfer. When it is complete you delete the temporary account(s).

HELP! I wanted to sync with Wi-Fi with iTunes. Then all my apps were deleted! How can I get the Backup from my iCloud now?

As already described I started a WiFi Sync with iTunes. In about 3 seconds all apps were deleted. So all apps that were installed. Some apps waited for download. They are still on...
Now how can I backup to before the sync. The newest datas are in iCloud, maybe that will help! Otherwise I would also try to get it from iTunes. How is that possible?

I would check and see if the apps are still in iTunes on your computer and sync with the computer again. Just because we now have WiFi sync at our disposal does not mean that you can't sync with the computer again.
If you have a backup on your computer, you can restore from the backup first and sync any apps that are still missing. I think you can only restore from iCloud if you restore your iPad to factory settings using iTunes on the computer anyway. I see no way to restore from iCloud simply by using the device itself. I'm pretty sure that is how you must do it. Perhaps you have to erase all content and settings on the device and then restore with iCloud and I assume that would work as well. I see no setting in iCloud on the iPad that lets you restore from the backup, so you still have to restore to factory settings some way.
So while we are free from the computer in some ways, IMHO - it still handy to be reliant on your computer. I may be missing something - but after watching a couple of videos about restoring from the cloud, that is the way I think it works.

I discovered today that the list of add-ons disappeared, but all add-ons are working normally. How can I access the list of extensions?

I'm running MacOS 10.6.8 and Firefox 5.0.1. When I open Tools->Add Ons, the list of extensions is empty. This happened after I restarted Firefox after having it running for a couple of days. Since then FlagFox reports a "missing IPDB", but I#m not sure if this is related.

Unfortunately the problem is that clicking on the extensions icon as you propose only brings up an empty add-on list, so there is no chance to uninstall FlagFox (it says "You don't have any add-ons of this type installed", see also the attached image). As mentioned, all other add-ons are running well.
Is there any other way to access the add-on? I'm not afraid of the command line btw. ;-)

On the taskbar and in the start menu, iTunes only shows a default icon. How can I get the iTunes icon back?

I know it is only a petty thing, but it is really annoying me.
It has only come about since the last update
I have tried rebuilding my Icon cache, and unpinning the shortcuts and creating new ones, neither has worked.
It is really niggling at me - any ideas? I'm on windows 7, and all my updates are current, and my virus scan clear.

By "tabs", do you mean something like this -
If that is what you see, then you may be right-clicking on the icon instead of left-clicking on it.
Right-clicking or Control-clicking on an icon in the Dock will bring up a menu like that (it is a contextual menu, so its content varies a bit from program to program).
Usually, it is necessary to only click an icon in the Dock once in order to start up the program (if it has been quitted) or make it active (if it has not been quitted).

Hi! I was browsing my facebook account when my iphone 3G restarted on its own. The apple icon appeared and when the "restarting" process was over, I lost all my installed apps, the contents of my phonebook were gone, all text meassages saved were also gone. It was as if I had a new phone again. I am really lost now and I don't know if there is a way of retrieving my contacts and my messages. I upgraded to OS5 yesterday and all my contacts including names, email addresses, and phone numbers have been deleted. When I tried to revert to a previous back up, the only one was the one that was done right before I downloaded the new OS. All other previous backups were gone. In addition, I bought 40.00 worth of extra storage space to back up to iCloud and had to start it over several times before it finally worked...25 hours later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am MAD that the new OS download procedure deleted EVERYTHING in my contacts. The only thing that remains are my favorited phone numbers but none of them are labeled so I have no idea who anyone is except I sort of know where some people were on the list. This is HORRIBLE and so far I've seen hundreds of these exact kinds of posts all over the Net, not just here on the Apple website. I've done everything I could on my own and tried several things that have been suggested by other Apple users here in the forum. Nothing has worked and evidently nothing was saved to my iCloud storage, either. Now I'm having to pay for a 1pm phone call with tech support that I'm sure will cost me a freaking fortune to tell me that I'm screwed-and that'll be 75.00, please.
