My menu Premiere Pro wont show up

Hi, I was seeing lynda.com adobe premiere cs4 tutorial, and in their videos there is a button called "premiere pro", but that wont show up in my adobe premiere cs4 version 4.00, can someone help me?

Why does Premiere Pro not show in the Creative Cloud

I just bought the montly membership, paid, got the confirmation, but still Premiere Pro does not show in my Creative Cloud options - under audio/video it only shows and Photoshop, Prelude and Audition.
When I use the link in the email confirmation that I received I can press 'getting started'.
This leads me to the online Creative Cload Download - when I scroll to Premiere Pro, click on download I go to the next page, but still the program does not show?
What should I do differently? I am logged in already.
Please help me!

Do you have a 64-bit machine? Normally the listing will only include programs that your machine is capable of running. Check your machine capabilities against the requirements for Premiere Pro and see if it comes up short.

Premiere pro wont play anything - forgot the workaround.

Im on the last days of my trial run, and I once again cant get the timeline to play video; the playhead wont even budge.
This happened before (dont know why it reverted back to not playing)
I just cant remember what setting I tweaked. It was either disabling audio playback, or some related setting. (I remember cause I was surprised that it affected video being able to be played.)
Can someone throw me a suggestion? I already scoured the forums and the preferences and such. I cant find anything familiar to 'disable'.

Ah, thats interesting.
My solution was Preferences> Audio Hardware> ASIO Settings> INPUT> and disable my sound card {SoundMax Digital Audio, my only listed device}.
Presto, I can now play clips.

I used the CC Snowfall, but when I export to Premiere Pro it shows up as a grey background? Help!?

We can't tell what's wrong from your description. A nice screen shot of your AE project will be very helpful. Of particular interest: the effects pane for the snowfall effect.

Premiere Pro wont play more than a second of rendered video

I've just started a new project in Premiere Pro CS4.
The project renders fine but as soon as I try to play it back it will only move the play head about 8-10 milliseconds before jumping back to where it started. The weird thing is the video plays fine in bridge as it's just a regular QT file. But as soon as it's in premiere it just wont play for any length of time. Not sure if it's related but when scrolling along the time line, past where the playhead is located, the timeline will scroll for a bit and then jump back immediately to where the playhead is.
The video scrubs through with the playhead absolutely fine. The porblem just occurs when trying to play the footage back.
Any ideas?

it's just a regular QT file.
There's really no such thing as a 'regular' Quicktime file, as so many different kinds of video can be held in a Quicktime wrapper, and not all of them are meant to be edited. Generally speaking, Premiere works best when used with standard camera formats such as DV, DVCPRO HD, HDV, etc. Other kinds of video are often hit or miss. The symptoms you describe generally occur when someone tries to use video that was simply not meant for editing. The recommenced solution is to just not edit that file, but instead only use video you shot yourself using a proper camera format.
Or, use consumer software that may be more forgiving of the media you feed it.

i downloaded preimere pro and the app wont even load or try and open on my computer, what does this mean?

Premiere Pro CC Show "Media Pending"

I recently update PR CC to 7.1.
When render seq always show "Media Pending".
How to solve this problem?

I am having the same problem... I think.
I convert my media through MPEG Streamclip to Apple Pro Res (HQ22) and, interlace my video and have it set to 1920 x 1080 30fps. Whenever I open Adobe Premiere CC and I use the exact information as the footage, it will always tell me that its the wrong sequence settings to the footage, so I click "Change Sequence Settings" (thinking that I have done something wrong. Then that Media Pending will always come up, and then I always get drop frames and the footage looks clumsy. I have tried so many times to change the sequence settings to whatever the Properties of my clips say, and yet the same thing always happens.
I just upgraded to CC and used CS5 before. I have the adobe suite and don't have a problem with the rest of the Adobe programs. Thinking I might convert back to FCP 7 if things stay this way!
Can anyone help???

Mac book pro wont show mac app store when updated

My daughter's macbook pro won't show the mac app store on her dock. She has updated it a numerous amount of times, and nothing has changed each time. She did everything the computer told her to (put her password in, restart it..). Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Thank you.

It's only for Mac OS X 10.6.6 and newer. If the computer's running a compatible OS version, drag the App Store there from the Applications folder.

Adobe Premiere Pro wont play any video/audio

Hello! i recently got an Adobe creative cloud membership. and so i have been editing a video. no problems, no lag, nothing, its all been wonderful.
but i sent the video to SpeedGrade, then exported from there and had an audio sync issue, that i decided to fix by aligning the old video clips audio with the new graded versions video.
upon importing (old non graded and new greaded versions) the 8 minute files, and double clicking them to view them, they wouldn't play, even after a couple minutes.
and they wouldn't play in the timeline either.
so i tried many things, restarting, deleting my preference files, deleting and re-installing the application, using different video files + projects.
i even tried an old project that i had. no other applications are suffering from this problem. (like after effects or speedgrade, they are 100% fine)
i also tried different settings, including ones with the mercury playback engine. no luck
No other forum has helped.
i have a 21.5 inch Imac, with an intel i5 processor.
8 gig of RAM. a 500gb HD
and an AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB
i am running OS X 10.8.2

it was a video i was working on. i didnt export it to speedgrade though, i used dynamic link (send to speedgrade command) and sent the entire timeline to speedgrade.
i quite premiere because i didnt need it any more (at that point because i was using speed grade) then i exported out of speedgrade the graded clip and brought that into premiere. and now premiere wont play anything.
UPDATE: however when i scrub, it plays through the video but i dont hear audio (even though the setting for that is turned on).
and when i press the space bar (or the play/stop button) over and over after i scrubbed a little bit, it will jump back and forth, so obviously not a hard drive permission/read error.
and lastly, when i try to change the amount of zoom it has in the viewer (fit, 10$, 100%, 50% etc.) it crops the image and then the applications becomes unresponsive.

Your hard drive is likely physically failing. Back up your data if you can and either have the machine serviced or replace the drive yourself.

The only scenario where in Premier pro wont show is when you have a 32 bit OS. Min system requirement for Premier Pro is a 64 bit OS .

Premiere Pro CC wont open or import .flv files

I just upgraded from windows 7 to 8.1. Clean install. Downloaded Premiere Pro CC, AE CC and a few others. I cannot import or use .flv files in premiere pro. It says file type is not supported. Even if I export from AE as a flv premiere pro wont open it. All my past projects with flv files show that media as off line. Please help. FLV always worked before.

CS6 Premiere Pro generic project icons issue

I installed the new Cloud version of Premiere Pro through my monthly account. I can open projects from Premiere Pro but if I try to open a project file from a folder, the icon is one of those generic icons. I've tried using the Open with...and then browse to the Premiere Pro.exe file but it gave an error. Now, when I try that same process it wants to open it using Adobe Reader X. I deleted Adobe Reader X and tried again and now it wants to try to open my project files from my folder using Windows Media Center. Huh? Weird. Any ideas anyone?
At first all of .prproj files received the Adobe Reader X icon. Now they all are showing the Windows Media Encoder icon. I can still open them all from within Premiere Pro just fine but would still like them to show the correct Adobe Premiere Pro icon show that I can double click them and they'll open in Premiere.

Yes, it was/is a Win7-64 install. Perhaps I'll try a install repair from the Adobe installer thingy. See if that works. Gasp.
Update: The error message I get when I try to open one of my many CS3, CS4,or CS5 projects, be they PS, Premiere, or AE, by double clicking those older projects is this:
Windows cannot find 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS3\Adobe Premiere Pro.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.
Not sure what to make of that error message as I uninstalled all my older CS Suite programs after I installed the new CS6 stuff. I got the same error message when trying to open up an older PS project but instead of CS3 it said CS5.5 in the above error message. Weird.

Installing plugins in premiere pro cs6 on mac??

Having trouble placing my plugins in Pp cs6 it worked in cs5 but for some reason in cs6, there no where to be found? Where do I place them? any help is appreciated!!

If the plugin which you have installed for the older version then you might have to install them again, depending upon the different plugins.
Or for the plugin which were copied they can be located MAC HDD --> Applications -->(Cmd + Click) Premiere Pro CS5 --> show package contents --> plugins.
Copy the plugins flder to the same location with premiere pro cs6.0 by doing cmd+ click on the icon.
