My message and calendar icons have moved to a subfolder

Hi - I think I hit the wrong button and now my "messages" and "calendar" icons are appearing in a "productivity" icon. How do I make these come back to stand alone icons?

tap and hold the messages and calendar app until they all start to ''jiggle''.
Then, simply drag them out of the folder and they will line up back on your home screen individually.

Actually, you don't.
Mail will give you one aural alert. The badge on the screen's mail icon is the only other indication of unread mail.
For messages, go to Settings -> Messages and turn Repeat Alert on or oﬀ. If you ignore a message alert, you’ll be alerted two more times.
When you add a calendar event, you can set an alert from 5 minutes to 2 days before an event. Once you set an alert, you have the option to set a second.
There is no way to set continuing alerts until acknowledged.

Why won't Messages and Calendar sync/load properly?

Messages and Calendar do not sync properly between my (new) MacBook Pro and my iPod Touch (4th Gen). Messages keep displaying out of order on my MacBook, and usually one or two are missing. They are perfectly fine on my iPod, no matter which device I send them from. What gives? Every message I send from my MacBook shows up on on my iPod, but my MacBook is messed up. Calendars I create on my MacBook also don't display right on my iPod. I end up with two entries for the same thing, and deleting doesn't work unless I mess around with it for a while. Also, the calendar froze today (on MacBook) and was stuck in September when I opened it.
My software, on both devices, is completely up to date. So what is going on with Messages and Calendar? Is it a MacBook issue or an iCloud issue? I don't see how it can be an iCloud issue because my iPod runs off the same iCloud account and is perfectly fine. Only my MacBook seems to be having issues. It's brand new, thoroughly updated, and I'm not an idiot so I really don't think the issues are anything I've done. It's annoying and frustrating because it will tell me I have a new message but when I open Messages it automatically opens to many days previous in the conversation string, and when I manage to scroll down to the bottom the new message isn't there (because my messages are out of order).
Seriously annoying issue. I bought a MacBook so that my devices would SYNC and I could have a STREAMLINED network of gadgets and apps. Could have stayed with Windows if syncing wasn't going to work anyway. Certainly would have been cheaper!!

My App Store icons have moved around. How do I fix this?

Recently did a restore and when I started using my App Store I noticed icons have moved around. Before it would be featured,top charts,genius, search, and updates. In that order. And now icons are. Featured, search, updates, top charts. And genius. Any clues on how this happened and how to get them switched back?? Thanks...

Change to US App Store
1. Tap "Settings"
2. Tap "iTunes & App Stores"
3. Tap on your Apple ID
4.Tap "View Apple ID"
5. Enter your user name and password.
6. Tap "Country/Region."
7. Tap "Change Country/Region"
8. Select the region where you are located.
9. Tap "Done".

Browse and Games icons have disappeared

My browse, favorites and Games icons have completely disappeared, when I go to my app I can see all the games installed, however I can not find them on my blackberry. I have already tried to updated it but says I have the latest version of software.
Could you please help me on what do it to recover them.

If you don't know the restrictions code then do you know if it was on the iPad when you last backed up ? If not then you can restore to that backup and it should be removed. If it was on the iPad when you last backed up then the only way to remove it is to reset the iPad back to factory defaults and you can then re-sync your content back to the iPad - you won't be able to restore to the backup as that will keep the code in place.

Many contacts and calendar events have disappeared

Many of my contacts and calendar events have suddenly disappeared. Can they be retrieved?

Mine too. I have a J Home and J Work calendar. The J Home calendar is completely gone and had all my personal events. I checked iCloud and it is gone there. No one has access except me. I opened my calendar on my iphone this afternoon to add an appt for my son. The data was there and basically disappeared in front of my eyes. I didn't touch the calendars menu until everything was gone so it wasn't me. I'm losing my mind right now. Everything is gone...just gone.
I just noticed my wife's shared calendars also no longer appear on my phone or iCloud. Both of her calendars appear on her iCloud and they still say they are shared with me. That's just f****n great. iCloud broke something and I'm the one to suffer. I'll bet anything Apple won't do anything to help as they don't back up iCloud data. I'm sure they do as they are required by law, but they won't admit it. SONOFA!!!!

Yes, you can keep the apps and music, but not transfer them to your new account, so if you want to download past purchases or update any of them you'll need the password of the apple ID with which you first bought them.

These could be older unread messages and they may be buried in sub-folders. Your best bet is to go to your email web interface on a computer and search for unread emails there.

All Contacts and Calendars entries have disappreared

All my Contacts and Calendar entries have suddenly disappeared from my iPhone4S, and the phone won't allow me to make any new Calendar entries. I've tried restoring from a back-up on my PC, but I get a messsage on iTunes on the PC saying no back-up is stored there, although I'm looking at the iTunes screen telling me when the last back-up was made.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I have the exact same problem and it drives me mad - thanks for letting me know if you find a solution. Here is what I will try: export all my contacts from where they are in the pst file in outlook then "try" to reimport them in the ost file (exchange). I noticed indeed that if I create a contact in the ost file, it does get pushed over to itunes.
But there seems to be no way of telling itunes which outlook data file to use in priority, and if you select it as default in outlook you wipe out the content of your mail file on the exchange server. Not great.

I don't believe I did move or delete my catalogue. Where can I look for my catalog file. Why does my Lightroon now contain more images and ones I don't want on it, without my physically importing them?

Messages and Calendar each on separate accounts?

Before I install Mountain Lion on my elderly father's MBAir, I'd like to know if I can set this up:
-- Have his Messages work with his Apple ID / email address, so he gets and sends his own messages.
-- Have his Calendar be linked to my Apple ID (my iCloud) so I can remotely maintain his calendar for him.
-- Have his Messages include his AIM identity so we can do remote Screen Sharing within Messages (incredibly handy for fixing his problems, without long car trips)
I'm pretty sure the first and last ones are a given, but I'm not sure if I can have separate logins for Messages and iCloud.

Update -- I tried my original proposal. It works. That is, On my dad's MBAir I used his AIM ID and his Apple ID as two accounts on Messages. Thus we can Screen Share for remote problem solving and he can do messaging. And I used my Apple ID for iCloud on his MBAir, allowing me to change his calendar for him.
Beware -- in the process I accidentally had both his and my iCloud accounts running on his machine, and mistakenly merged Contact lists. It was a bear to undo, and required dumping a VCard file of my contacts into my iCloud.com Contact list to fix it. I may not have solved it the most efficient way, but it worked.

TS4006 can someone please tell me how to stop my daughters iTouch from receiving my messages and calendar appointments. Is it to do with the icloud, or that her account is linked to my itunes account. Help!

we have bought my daughter a 2nd hand itouch 4th gen, which I have synched , put all her apps etc on, and today she has received my received messages, and reminders from my calendar. how do I stop this?
Is it something to do with icloud? or is it that her itouch is linked to my itunes account?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
It's because you are both using the same iCloud account, you need to have separate accounts. iTunes is a separate account and you can continue to share that account to share music, apps books etc.
To give her a different account, log out of iCloud on her device (settings > iCloud, scroll down and delete account) and sign back in using the create an Apple ID option.

It's hard to say what would cause that but I doubt you are doing anything wrong. They only way you could intentionally make you contacts or calendars disappear is if you either turn off iCloud syinc for contacts and calendars in Settings>iCloud or signed out of your account.
If it continues to happen, you might want to completely sign out of your account, then sign back in. To do this, you would want to start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide your password and choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (your data will still be in iCloud), then sign back in.

My question is whats the best option to keep my current package with bt without moving it or cancelling it. Also i dont want anyone that may move into my old property to use my bt services.

I believe that BT can make your phone line either Outgoing Calls Barred or Temporary Out Of Service. You will still have to pay your normal phone/broadband charges.
