My messages displays mostly numbers of contacts, not contacts, why?

I turned my iPhone 4s on today and suddenly half of my messages are displayed as numbers, not contacts. I don't understand why, I couldn't find any info in the settings section.

Calendar will continue to be a problem until Microsoft makes them available in a format that is standards based.
Google, much a I question their integrity make use of Open standards. Yahoo, even as they stumble from disaster to snafu also use standards. GMX the largest provider in Europe I am told, also uses standards. Even Apple manage to use standards. Only Microsoft stands out there using proprietary protocols that must be licensed from them. It is however a good way to ensure vendor lock in. They have no iTunes to keep the customers loyal and spending money

Messages display phone numbers not contact name

After I updated my iPhone 4s last night my messages come in displaying the phone number not the contact name. I checked the number in the contact and they are the same. The number 1 is not in the contact or in the message display. I have readded a contact and it will work after that. I don't really want to redo my complete contact list. Anyone have any idea's?

How do i display phone numbers from Contacts in large type?

The phone numbers displayed in Contacts are difficult to read for old eyes. How do I display them in a large font size so I can read them without glasses? Is there a setting or an alternate app that can do that?

The only thing that I know of is Settings -> General ->Accessability -> Zoom
With that on, when you tap the screen twice using 3 fingers, the whole screen zooms. I've tried the "Large Text" feature, but it does nothing to the phone numbers in contacts, just the text portions.

Cannot call certain numbers - says "account not validated" Why??

When I call some numbers - local, often-used numbers, sometimes it will say 'this account cannot be validated. If you are a Sprint customers, call... If you have another provider, contact them... This also happens with house phone.

Profit Center message display in MV45AFZZ

In include MV45AFZZ USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE I have added code to display information message if profit centre is initial/blank for any line item.
Suppose there are 3 line items for a sales order with line item 20 & 30 having profit centers as initial/blank. I get my information message displayed as Profit centre not maintained for line items: 20, 30. Then I press enter and it allows me to add profit centers for the missing line items.
I assign profit centre for line item 20 only and for line item 30 I want it to be blank. Then I save it.
Here comes my issue :
Again information message displays as u201C Profit centre not maintained for line item 30u201D. Unless I enter profit center value in line item 30 the message displays. If I enter some value and save it then document is saved.
I need the message to be displayed only once and user can enter missing profit centre for any line item & save it. Now its mandatory to enter profit center for all line items.

Hi Soumya,
Giving a thought about the scenario you have explained, you need Message if profit centre is initial/blank for any line item.
I would suggest you another approach i do not know how far will it suffice your requirement,
Taking your example Suppose there are 3 line items for a sales order with line item 10, 20 & 30 having profit centers as initial/blank.
You want to assign profit centre for line item 20 only but not for line item 30 since you want it to be blank.
When you code anything with respect to the Profit Center of the Line Item, it will check for
if PC is not initial immaterial whether you want it to be blank or not and in all cases it will give you the message
Instead, create a program which will capture the Line Item number.
1) Give the Line Item numbers to the new Z program, and inside the program export the values to a memory id.
2) Import the same value in MV45AFZZ and then in XVBAP you already have the POSNR for which you want to SAVE inspite it is BLANK
3) if xvbap-posnr = g_import_posnr
    then dont give the error message.
    else.
    give the error message.

There is no such thing as a "Factory Unlocked iPhone "
They are either locked to a carrier who may at some stage offer unlocking
or sold direct to a user by Apple (from their own Stores or online .)
Those iPhones are NOT locked

If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:

HT200274 Most of my contacts are not available. I see numbers in favorites and recent calls. Most are deleted from contact log but some are still there. I can type in the name and it brings it up. How do I restore phone.

Most of my contacts are gone. My favorites and call log show numbers but no names. It did not remove all contacts but most of them. I can type in the name and it comes up but is it not listed in my contacts.

Within Contacts, tap Groups at top left. Make sure all contact groups are checked to show, then tap "Done" at top right.

HT4972 I have lost most (but not all) of the phone numbers from Contacts.

This is my work iphone, connected to my work MS Exchange account. First I upgraded to iOS5, but that caused the 3G connection to stop working (my phone contacts were still there at that point). The IT guy at work eventually fixed the 3G connection - it was something to do with the profile being blocked, I don't know exactly, and I don't know what he did to get it working. However, whatever he did, it caused most of the phone numbers in Contacts to disappear. Unfortunately they're not in my Contacts in Outlook either, so I can't restore them from there.
I guess the most likely option is to restore them from the backup that occurred during the iOS5 upgrade - can someone suggest how I can do that? Or any other ideas?

Contacts are not completely backed up as part of the iPhone backup. Only contacts necessary to back up your recent call and favorites lists are backed up, which often won't include all your contacts. (In fact, if the IT person backed up and then restored your phone from backup that may be how he lost many of your contacts.) Also, restoring from backup will revert all settings and data on your phone to those contained in the backup. If you want to try to restore from your backup anyway follow this procedure:
Before connecting your phone, open iTunes on your computer, go to Preferences, on the Devices tab check "Prevent…from syncing automatically"
Now connect your phone to your computer and import your photos to avoid losing any recent photos (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083)
Open iTunes and when your phone appears on the left sidebar, right-click on its name and choose Transfer Purchases (to transfer any recent purchased into your iTunes library)
Right-click on the name of her phone again and choose Restore from Backup, choosing the backup you wish to restore from
When this completes you can go back and re-enable automatic syncing if you prefers this

IPad contacts do not display telephone numbers

The only way I can view the telephone numbers of a contact is to click 'edit' and look at them on the edit screen. Ive an iPad 2, iOS 5 and still use mobile me.
Any suggestions how to fix this?

Does it display any caller ID info at all? The caller ID info must match the number for the contact in your phone EXACTLY for the name to be displayed.
If you're not even getting a number, contact your carrier. They may not have your service provisioned correctly.

Mail not displaying most recent messages --1000 message capacity?

Sorry if this is a duplicate topic, I seached, but found nothing.
Here's my situation:
I have two email account on my iPhone. One is gmail, and one is my school email account. Before today, I have had no issues with mail at all, however, this morning when I go to check my school email, it showed me emails from last November as being the newest emails (and had correctely marked them as read). At the bottom of the list of emails, it said displaying "some number" out of 1000 messages. I have well over 1700 emails on this account so I do not understand why it was only counting up to 1000 of them all of the sudden, since I had passed the 1000 message barrier a long time ago.
After deleting tons of old emails, my phone then displayed messages from March of 2009, and still said "out of 1000" at the bottom. So, I logged onto my email and saw that I still had 1064 messages in the inbox. I then deleted more old messages until the inbox was at well under 900, and then all of the "missing" mail came through.
So, after my longwinded story, I guess I'm trying to ask why that happened, and if there is some email capacity I reached. I only have my phone display the last 50 messages, so I do not understand why it even matter how many messages are in the inbox.
Sorry if my wording is terrible... It's Friday and I'm tired.

I have the same problem and posted about it. So it's confirmed it's happening to more than 1 person. I also have 2 accounts setp up. Both are yahoo. One account is fine the other shows mail from 2 years ago as recent. I have over 2k messages in one folder and I can not delete them. They are work history. That's why I love the new yahoo cause it works like gmail and I can search that history now.
Anyway I need this fixed cause the inbox only shows about 10 new messages and then only shows like 6 months ago and older.
They have worked fine over the last month and now all the sudden I get up this morning and it went to crap..

Thus, I am backing up to iTunes.
This morning's sync/backup resulted in me losing most of my contacts, and for the contacts that remain, 99% of the phone numbers are gone. I can recover my calendar entries from this past week, but I don't know how I can recover all of them from my May 2012 backup.
Since I had a backup just last week, I'd like to just go back to it. But how? Or, is there another way to get my contacts restored? And why did they disappear? And what else may be gone that I just don't know about yet?
