My microphoone works for calls skype ect. but not on video's? I have a Iphone 4 and ios7.

My ios 7.0.2 Iphone 4's microphone has stopped working on video's but works for everything else calls, facetime ect. I have tried using a pin in the secondary mic but still nothing? I have also tried going through settings but can't find anything was working about 2 months ago but must of happened in between because i only used it yesterday and found out... so please help I don't want to have to go to apple only to be told they can't fix it and I should by there new lastest product!

You have to call your carrier and tell them about it since these are the features control by your carrier.
Did you try a reset?
Press Home and Sleep button together about 10 secs or more till you see the Apple logo.

Generally and at times we all have little idiosyncrasies appearing with the running of our Macs.
I use the same Logitech BT with my MBP. MB & iBook..(not at the same time) Only ever had one issue

I have five gmail accounts. Three of them have the auto-complete feature enabled for the password. The two most recent accounts do not auto-fill so I must type in my password every time. The auto-fill works fine on my laptop but not on my desk-top. My operating system is Windows XP.

You don't have to do anything with the first iPod that you don't use anymore. If you are planning on keeping it, put in a drawer in your house and forget about it.
You don't need a second account to use with the new iPod. I use one Appl e ID and iTunes library for two iPods, and two iPad. I have different content on all four devices. You can select exactly what you want to sync to each device and it can be different content on all devices.

Extensions still work when calling from outside but not in listed in DN

There are 3 extensions that still work when calling from the outside, but they don't reside in the DN listing. Where could they still exist? Using Cisco Unified CM 8.5.1.

Review you dial plan and also the unassigned DNs, they might not exist as an exact match, but maybe in something with wildcards.
You can use DNA to search for them.

Why does Back To My Mac work for my Time Capsule, but not my MacBook?

I'm having problems using Back To My Mac from work to my home network. Initially, I thought it was something to do with the way the work network had been set up, but recently I realised that I have no problems connecting to my Time Capsule… It's just that I can't connect to my MacBook Pro. It is showing up in the devices on the left panel, but when I try to connect to it, I get this message:

Database link works for OS user "oracle" but not for other clients

My DBA connects as user1 to db1 and successfully queries over database link db2.

Ed Stevens reminds me that db1 is acting as a client to db2 and so the solutions to the ORA-12154 are the same as for any client connection as listed on his blog (which I had already read), none of which solve my problem. Rembember, the DBA can use the database link, so by whatever means the TNS lookup is happening when he uses it, the correct connection description is being found. The question is not "why does this stinkin' database link not work"? It does work for the DBA.
Pierre wants to make sure I know that it is the Oracle server's TNSNAMES file that is the important thing, not my client's TNSNAMES file, which is true but not relevant to my problem and I was never so naive. He also says that I could try creating a database link by including the full TNS entry in the USING string, which does work as I had already mentioned in my original post.

The answer is yes. The dba can use SQL*Plus to connect to db2 from the server hosting db1 and can connect to db1 from the server hosting db2. There is almost nothing my DBA cannot do.
None of the posters addressed the key information in my post, which was the different result my DBA and I get when using the same database link in the same schema on the same database. That AND the fact that my DBA is logged on to Linux Oracle serve as user "oracle" and I am logged in to my PC. Why should it matter to a database link which computer is running SQL*Plus or who the OS user is?
Also the GLOBAL_NAMES parameter is set to FALSE.

DNS Server working for top level domain but not host

Hello,
I just set up the DNS server on my server and thought I had it working until I tried the sub-domains. I could get to example.com but mail.example.com and www.example.com did not resolve properly even though I had specified them as aliases for the machine record.
Does anyone know where to look for the cause of this problem? Below I have included my zone file for the domain:

If you enter "www.shenzhenguide.com IN CNAME ns1" there has to be a dot after the .com like : "www.shenzhenguide.com. IN CNAME ns1" but you usually drop it to "www IN CNAME ns1" instead.

You Tube requires Flash update. Worked for laptop Windows 7 but not PC Windows Vista. Can you help?

You Tube said I needed latest Adobe Flash Player, so uninstalled old version and reinstalled latest version 11.6.602.171 on PC running Windows Vista Home Basic SP2 32-bit OS. My system says it's there, but it still won't work on You Tube - still get same message saying Ineed latest version.
Had same message on my Laptop running Windows 7 and it updated and works fine. I use Internet Explorer 9.
Detailed Problem Description: Problem with downloading latest Adobe Flash update and viewing YouTube. On PC running Windows Vista Home Basic SP2 32-bit OS, You Tube home page red banner at top said I needed to install latest Adobe Flash Player but even after installing, it does not work and will not play most videos in browser and shows black screen with message still asking to download latest version. Seems to be rather random as to which videos it will play and which ones it won't, although there may be some common link (see examples below). I thought it might have been HTML5 problem but I have successfully played HTML5 and Non-HTML videos through Adobe test site (Adobe Flash Player Help/Video Playback Issues) as well as Stage Videos. (Note: Had same You Tube messages when viewing on Laptop running Windows 7 but that updated without problem.)
Ran Adobe Uninstall. Closed all other programs before reinstalling direct from Adobe (rather than You Tube link). No change.
Ran all Adobe troubleshooting suggestions listed at http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-games-video-or.html#main_2__Disable_Ac tiveX_Filtering__if_you_are_using_Internet_Explorer_9_.
Removed browsing data and deleted cache, checked that Internet Tools\Safety\Active X filtering was disabled (but in Internet Option\Security, Active X controls are enabled), disabled Hardware Acceleration, restarted computer but no change to You Tube viewing. Re-enabled, but no change. (WOULD LOVE ADVICE FOR FUTURE REFERENCE IF I SHOULD KEEP THIS ENABLED OR DISABLED.)
I have updated graphics drivers for NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT- although had to do manually as NVIDIA auto system scan said "could not detect your GPU". Noted they said Windows Vista supports up to Direct X 10, but my system is running Direct X 11. Had optional update message for "nVidia Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM 1.2, other Hardware NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT" on both PC & laptop. Laptop downloaded fine. Tried to download on PC but was not successful. Error Code 80070103, possibly because system had already been updated? Current driver version 9.18.13.1407 - "Windows has determined that your current driver software is up to date".
Running Norton 360 but it did not block or indicate any problems with Flash Player download.

Thanks for reply. I ran the recommened Adobe uninstall program so assumed it deleted whatever it should have, before installing new version. When it didn't work I followed instructions in Flash Player help page (screen shot below) which said to delete the Roaming App Data/Macromedia/Flash folder and Roaming App Data/Adobe/Flash folder, which I did.
Below are screen shots of C:\windows\system32\macromed\flash files as they currently stand. I have a fuzzy recollection that it was deleted at some point because I think I went searching for it during one troubleshooting session and it couldn't be found (but maybe I'm geting confused with the App Date folders?). Anyway I presume these current files are all post-reinstallation as the dates are all 5 or 6 March (did them before and after midnight). I'm on Australian time - not sure where you are. However, notice install.log date is 21/05/2010 and Flash Player Trust sub-folder is dated 6/09/2008.
When I right click on the screen of both videos that will and won't play, I just get a list of options starting at "Copy video URL" down to "About HTML5". So not sure what you mean when you say "For the videos that do play, when you right click on them what version of Flash Player is reported at the bottom of the context menu?" as I can't see any info like this. Do I click somewhere else?

and right clicking on the Flash Player info box, going into Settings and checking or unchecking the Enable box. Do you know if there is another setting in my actual computer where I can do this and or there's some other setting I need to change? There doesn't seem to be anything similar when I go through Conrol Panel - Flash Player.

a.. Click Start > Control Panel.
b.. Double-click Flash Player.
c.. In the Flash Player Setting Manager, click Advanced.
d.. Under Browsing Data and Settings, click Delete All.
6. Remove Flash Player cache
a.. On your computer, select Start > Run. (On Windows 7, click Start and type in Search Programs and Files.)
b.. Type %appdata%\Adobe and click OK.
c.. Delete the Flash Player folder.
d.. Repeat step 1 and type %appdata%\Macromedia.
e.. Delete the Flash Player folder.

SetText() works for one text area but not for another

I am student new to java so forgive me if I'm making an obvious mistake. I have a GUI with 3 tabs. Two tabs have a text area in each in them and an action listener tells the textarea what to print. The problem is one text area works and the other doesn't. they are declared in the same way so I can't see why the problem occurs.

If you have copied and pasted code for the second one, it is possible that you are setting text for the first text area at both the places. Check if you are calling the setText method on both the text areas and not the same one twice.

Exchange Sync works for Mail, Calendar, Contacts - but not for Notes

I am using an iPhone 3G (16GB). The sync with my account on an Exchange Server (I think 2003) is working just great. Mail, Calendar, Contacts are all in snyc, but there seems to be no way of synchronising the Notes between the iPhone native app and the Exchange Notes.
Is there any way to make that happen?

Notes syncing is only supported via USB/iTunes sync with Outlook (Windows) or Mail (Mac), not via Exchange. So, there is no way to sync the native iPhone Notes app with your notes on Exchange. There are 3rd party apps that can access your Exchange notes, though.

I just upgraded to CS5 from CS3, the ftp worked for me in CS3, but not in CS5

I believe the settings are the same but when I transfer a file up to the site, it appears to get truncated. The web page appears blank, and when I use the browser to view source there is barely 1 line of html.
When I transfer the same file using Windows Explorer logged into the ftp site, the file transfers and the web page displays properly. What did I miss in the new confuration?

Windows explorer? Really? Plenty of other FTP solutions out there.
Anyways, there is a new setting in CS5 but it should be disabled if the site was defined back in CS3. Manage your site and edit the FTP server information. There is an arrow for More Options and the new option is for FTP Performance Optimization. Try disabling that and see if you are able to transfer files again. If it is not, you should click on Site->Advanced->FTP Log and consult with your host the result of the log.

I have tried turing it off, and then back on.
I have tried just sharing specific items and this still did not work.
I am going to try stepping back down to 11.04.4 as previously suggested by TheDarkCanuck when I get home tomorrow. (maybe saturday). I am just leary about having to recreate all my libraries and how long that might take. I have over 1.5 TB of Music and Video, that is why I would like to get it working in the current version.
Just because I don't have a Mac, it seems that this is not being taken as a real problem for the windows 7 users (maybe it is specific to 64bit). I may try the 32bit version to see if that fixes it first. Unless someone else has, and want to chime in.
