My mini iPad screen is flashing all the time

Try to reset it. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot. If that doesn't help then you may need to make an appointment at your local apple store and have them look it over.

  • Screen stays on all the time power savings set up

My imac's screen stays on all the time now once I upgraded snow leopard to 10.6.3 it has been doing this since I got the settings so that the screen turns off 3 minutes after inactivity but the screen never turns off now.
the only time the screen turns off is when front row is running.
    Any ideas?

That is a bit quick to turn off the display from inactivity but that would be a personal choice. I let mine run for at least 10 minutes before the Screen Saver activates and then another ten minutes before turning off the display.
Try resetting the PRAM and the Systems Management Controller.
    Reset the PRAM
    • (Re)start the computer
    • Immediately press & hold the CommandOption+PR keys
    • Wait for two startup chimes
    • Release the keys and allow the computer to boot.
    Reset the SMC
    • Shut down the computer.
    • Detach the computer's power cord.
    • Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
    • Release the power button.
    • Reattach the computers power cable.
    • Turn on the computer.

You probably want to start by updating your OS, if your information is correct and you are still running 5.1.1. You may also want to try the Gmail app. I find it works very well.

  • IPad doesn't charge all the time

Ipad doesn't charge all the time

Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
    http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. In rare instances when using the Camera Connection Kit, you may notice that iPad does not charge after using the Camera Connection Kit. Disconnecting and reconnecting the iPad from the charger will resolve this issue.

  • New iPad (3rd Gen) crashes ALL THE TIME

So I have been using my new iPad this weekend, and it crashes all the time - the specific programs.  I cannot access simple things like in iBooks and other programs without a crash.  I dont know what to do other than to return it.  I sold my iPad 2 and now wish I didnt.
Is this somehow just my iPad or is this an issue with other people??

I got myself two new iPads, one for me and one for my son (replacing our iPad(s) 2) and I installed tons of apps and other content to both iPads, no issues whatsoever.
Have you used an old backup to install your stuff on your new iPad? If yes, please do a full recovery and install everything again, not from the backup.
If this doesn't work, your iPad must be defective.
The only complaint I have is the slow charging.

  • TS1286 getting error 9 every time try to restore iphone 5 crash on me tell me to go to itunes did it on a pc got error -1 so had a go on my mini mac get error 9 all the time

im update firmware for iphone 5 to 6.1.4 getting error 9 every time try to restore iphone 5 crash on me tell me to go to itunes did it on a pc got error -1 so had a go on my mini mac get error 9 all the time

This error occurs when the device unexpectedly loses its USB connection with iTunes. This can occur if the device is manually disconnected during the restore process. This issue can be resolved by performing USB troubleshooting, using a different USB dock-connector cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.

  • Blackberry 8330 screen remains lit all the time.

My new 8330 screen was darkening properly for a few weeks and now stays lit all the time. I have adjusted the timeout time to several settings and saved the settings before exiting and nothing works. My battery is suffering! Please, has anyone had the same problem and solved the mystery? I did a search before posting this.
    Solved!

Hi Mopars and Welcome to the forums!!
    First step in Blackberry troubleshooting:
Have the device in front of you turned ON.
Make sure it is not plugged into the AC charger or USB charger.
Turn it over and take out the battery, WHILST THE DEVICE IS TURNED ON.
Pop the battery back in and wait for it to load back up automatically.
See if this helps the situation!
If your issue is resolved, put a checkmark in the green box that contains the resolution.

If it was just/or also really helpful - Give it a Kudos.. Go on Mate.. Help the rest of the clueless blackberry user world find their answer too..

  • IPad Air safari crashs all the time

Safari crashes all the time. Safari settings reseted - no positive result! Mostly, when zooming into the web page.
Dear Apple, when are you going to fix this annoying faulty Safari app?
I am not alone with this fault, please read your own Apple forum! Or just google it....
    By the way, response appreciated!

Just posting to second this and also mention that the problem is not limited to iPad Air.  I definitely have it on my iPad Air, but have also had it on iPhone 5 and iPad 2 ever since "upgrading" to iOS 7 over two months ago.
    APPLE, PLEASE FIX THIS NOW!!!

  • Ipad air 2 freezes all the time....can't open apps or type

my ipad air is virtually unusable. it freezes all the time when i try to type. i have rebooted, both hard and soft, i have turned off predictive type. but nothing helps. also when i try to open an app i have to tap super hard in order to have it open; any app.
called apple but they try to make me be the culprit. this has to be the worst ipad ever. and apple's support is appalling .
any suggestions? anyone else having the same issues?

ok, so i was on phone with apple support 2x. problem still not solved. i did two "restore to factory setting" no problem solved. i have found however the major culprit and hope that this will be addressed in future update of ios8.1: my personalized keyboard shortcut were freezing up the typing ability on keyboard. so i deleted all of them. a little better. not freezing nearly as often. however, the typing is still cumbersome as its lagging behind big time. so have to go over everything i typed or tried to type again, correcting everything.
i dont believe its a true hardware issue i am leaning towards a coding trouble on a broader spectrum.
    anyone else experiencing this annoyance?

  • Ipad screen flashing all the time

Since it seems the last ios update my ipad screen (brand new last Christmas, so just barely 1 year old), just flashes.
Occassionally, after shutting down and doing nothing for hours it stops flashing. then I will open an app, safari or somethign and bam, it just starts flashing again. making it unusable and very very very irritating. like feel like leaving apple type frustrating.

Then it seems that there is a hardware defect or just damage. I would go to the Genius Bar. This seems like something out of your control at this point.
