My Mini only recognizes half of the installed RAM

Hi!
My Mini was originally delivered with 512 MB RAM. After a few weeks the Mac only used one of the memory chips and had only sporadic contact with the other. At some point I had to realize that my Mac was no good and only had 256 MB RAM available.
I recently bought 2GB of RAM and hoped that it was one of the memory chips what had gone bad, but sadly no. After I installed new RAM and booted I had only 1GB available.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can revive the dead memory slot?
I have installed all available software upgrades from Apple.

There have been some issues with one or the other slot not functioning properly. Since it is not likely that an Apple Store is near you, the alternative is to contact Apple service if it is still under warranty. One user posted that he got the slot to work after applying a little permanent pressure to the seated Dimm which wasn't working - that could mean that the Dimm slot is warped or at least not contacting all of the points of contact on the Dimm. Take out the Dimm inspect the slot for any material which may be covering the contacts, then reseat and test the Mini. If the slot is still nonfunctional, you could try wedging some non conductive material to see if contact can be reestablished.

I had a large part of it backed up on DVD's but it does not want to recognise them either?

If an app freezes on you - you can try force quitting the app.
Force quit the app by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears. Let go of the sleep button and then hold down on the home button until the app quits. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Aperture 2: Viewer/Quick View only showing half of the picture

Hi,
When working in aperture the other day my kitten decided to walk across the desk and keyboard since then the viewer only show half of the pictures. It looks like the viewer is not centered as it is also not showing the Viewer mode button.
Can anyone help it's driving me crazy.

When I use the 'reply' tab in Hotmail I can only see half of the screen and am unable to scroll down to view the email I am responding to. How do I fix this?

I use Hotmail and when I hit 'reply' I can only see half of the page. I cannot tab down to read the email I am responding to and if I type too much the text disappears into the hidden section of the page. This does not happen in Google Chrome when I checked it so it is a Firefox problem.
How do I fix this?

MBA: dock is only showing half of the indictor light

Hi.
My situation here is more annoying than a problem, but it's pretty simple: whenever the indicator light on the dock is switched on and programs are open/running, the dock is only showing half of the indicator light (the rest is hidden under the dock plattform).
This happened after I updated my MBA to OS X Mountain Lion.
Can anyone help me with my annoying problem?

Unfortunatetly this is one of the design changes Apple made. I too find it annoying. You can go here to register your unhappiness and request change. Be sure to explain why this new design is not good.

Welcome to the forums!
I'd contact the iTunes store and explain your situation. While they normally do not allow duplicate downloads the iPhone and Store interface is brand new and bound to have some issues to start with. I'd suspect they'll just allow you to download it again or credit your account.

Triggered Cameralink Acquisition only Capturing Half of the Frames

It describes my problem well, but I cannot find a good solution.
I have four cameras that need to be triggered at the same time (they cannot be free-running!)... if I only trigger the cameras, and allow the frame grabbers to run without a trigger, I end up sporadically missing frames at higher and higher frame rates. At 100FPS I lose about 40% of the data, but around 50FPS I capture all the data fine.
When I trigger both the frame grabber cards (1430s) with the cameras, I seem to consistently miss every other frame.
I have tried triggering the cameras on a rising edge and the cards on the falling edge, but no matter what I do I end up only collecting half of the frames I would expect to collect over a period of time.
Below is a snippet of code that I'm using for the acquisition, is anything glaringly obvious???

It sounds like the fastest your camera can go with an external trigger is 50 Hz. As soon as you go faster than that, you miss every other trigger because the camera is still busy handling the previous trigger.
Will the camera go faster in free run? If so, it is probably just a hardware limit on triggering. If not, it could be your exposure time is limiting the frame rate.
Did you include details of which camera you are using? That information would be useful.

Safari only shows half of the internet pages

Safari on my iPhone5 only shows half of the webpages I go to. It's not even a propper half, like, it's slim or missing the bottum. No, it just shows one corner and the rest is black and gray. It's hard to discribe so I made 2 printscreens. This is how it looks like when the screen is vertical:

If you are having issues with your iPhone only displaying part of a web page, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device

13" - 1440x900
11" - 1366x768
This of course assumes you are talking about your internal display.

IPod only gets half of the songs from new albums...

I have an iPod classic, purchased in 2008. I am running into an issue where when I add new albums to iTunes (not from the iTunes store or from an actual CD), only about half of the songs will make it on to the iPod when I sync. The songs all show up and work on iTunes, and my iPod is set up to add the entire library, but some of the songs just don't make it on there. The iPod isn't anywhere near capacity. I've tried adding them to specific playlists and although they show up fine on iTunes, they are just completely missing from the playlist on the actual iPod. Everything is up to date, software wise, so I'm hoping someone can offer some guidance. Thank you!

Error correction may be the problem; it was for me. See if it is checked and if it is uncheck it. You will find it under File>Preferences>Advanced>Importing. I hope this solves your problem.

Once you successfully add you iTunes library to iTunes Match, you go to Settings>iTunes & App Store on your iOS device and turn on iTunes Match. Your iTunes Match library will then appear on your iOS device.
