My mobile will not charge, it is completely dead. I tried plugging it in my pc, It is not working

try holding down the sleep/wake button on the top and the home button at the same time when it's plugged in for atleast 10 seconds.

  • After trying to install last update my itunes now doesn't work- have tried reinstalling and it gets struck saying mobile device not responding. Itunes says unable to successfully install itunes.

After a message on my computer to install an update a few days ago- I now can't open Itunes and have a message saying a module isn't working and I need to re install Itunes. However when I try to reinstall Itunes I keep getting an error message saying mobile device not working and then a message saying unable to install itunes.  Any clues- Is apple stuffing up agian or is my computer mis behaving?

Try a more recent version of my advice. The "for older video cards version" may work when the default version doesn't.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

  • Why do I get 'mobile me' in settings and not icloud? when I try to go into it, it says not responding, try later.

    Hi
Could anyone help me with this please?
Why do I get 'mobile me' in settings on my imac and not 'icloud'? when I try to go into it, it says not responding, try later.
    Thanks

Why do I get 'mobile me' in settings on my imac and not 'icloud'?
Because your operating system is too old. iCloud was introduced in Mac OS X 10.7.4 and later. You can upgrade through the Mac App Store. The latest version is Mac OS X 10.9.3 and is free if your Mac is capable of running it (late 2007 IMac's and newer).
when I try to go into it, it says not responding, try later.
MobileMe was shut down forever a few years ago, that's why it doesn't work any more.

  • Imported video not responding in IOS and mobile devices

    Hi there
I have done this interactive graphic:
    http://ing.dk/infografik/grafik-se-de-graverende-fejl-paa-kampflyet-joint-strike-fighter-1 74989
But the video does not respond in IOS and is very slow on iPad.
What could be wrong? The video is a MP4. Should it be set to preload?
    Hope for your answer/advice.
    Martin

That is the problem of html5 video in mobile.
It does not preload and does not autoplay.
It can only be played by a direct user event action ( like click )
There are no work arounds for this, and its made so people on mobile, do not waste there mobile internet on videos.

  • Itunes7 not responding with a mobile connected with usb port

    Hello,
I try to listen music connecting a nokia n91 (hard disk 4gbyte) with the usb port and itunes7.
often itunes7 crashes (not responding status) and even I shut down the program, then it stops again, and again, and again..
Obviously with the previous version of itunes I had NO PROBLEMS!!
it seem that the version 7 has not been tested enough..
    regards,
    dave from italy

If it boots from the enlosure then I agree with Shootist in that it's more than likely that there's a problem with your SATA cable. Call or contact OWC and tell them the problem that you're having with their drive. They may just ship you a cable free.

  • I just updated itunes to 11.1.3 on my laptop and now it won't open. It does not respond to trying "safe mode" either.

I just updated itunes to 11.1.3 on my laptop and now it won't open. It does not respond to trying "safe mode" either. Anyone have an idea as to what to do?

I just uninstalled it and am waiting for it to reinstall. I sincerely hope that I have not lost everything that I worked on so hard. Now that mobile me is gone, I have not been able to go between devices to transfer things. I was merely trying to take a document I had worked on and open it in pages, but it said my version was too old. When I updated, it wouldn't load. Now I cannot do anything. I hope that the reinstall fixes it without losing everything. Please advise!!! Yes, I am in panic mode.

  • AMD A6-5400k - CPU1: Not Responding

    Hi fellas,
I got a new CPU for my maschine, which runs on ARCH-x86_64 Kernel 3.6.10. So far everything went fine but one thing:
At boot, only of the two cores is recognized. This is only the case in Arch, both BIOS and Windows show both Cores. I rebuilt my initramfs and reinstalled linux, but none helped.
I realize, there are several topics around the www and this board, but none of them helped me in my case.
I tried some things, like booting the LTS-Kernel.
Any ideas how I can solve this issue?
I got the outputs of dmesg (system boot):
I think the relevant Lines are around 0.17000.

At beginning, the PC continued booting after throwing this issue. But now, Booting sometimes just stops at the very moment when the CPU is not responding.
...sounds like a hardware problem to me given the sporadic nature.

  • Apple Mail: Not Responding

When I open my Mail program over the last few days it does nothing - does not even show the Mail Message Window. I have to Force Quit (message says Mail Not Responding). This happens over and over again. I used Disk Utility to check preferences and repaired all (not much there and nothing relating to Mail). Still won't work. In general Apple Mail has not been working well for awhile that along with MobileMe... delivering multiple emails of the same message and loosing Sent messages. What is happening to this program? Do I have to use Microsoft Office to find a dependable eMail Client software? As it stands I have started using Office on our other computers just so we can receive our email and not worry about loosing or storing Sent and Received Mail.
I am running Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.8 on my workstation. I have Snow Leopard ready to install but was waiting to complete time critical work before installing new system software - perhaps that will be the answer to the problem(?). Anyone having this problem and if so - have you found a solution?
Note: I do receive mail on my iPhone and on iPad thankfully using Apple's Mail program but those are mobile devices - we require dependable email to run our business on our desktops.

Mail in Leopard should not have such problems. Disk Utility repairs permissions, not preferences. I'm assuming your only e-mail account is with Mobileme?

  • After installing Mavericks, my computer is slow/not responding

After installing Mavericks, my computer is not responding and reacting as quickly as (I think) it should. Here are the EtreCheck results. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

... With the latest software updates for OS X, I've read that anti-virus software is largely superfluous for Mac. Any opinions to the contrary/negative experiences?
Almost. Anti-virus software is completely superfluous for Mac.
I have tested most of the commonly available Mac "anti-virus" products under controlled conditions. The only differences between them are their varying degree of worthlessness. Some are malicious and will corrupt your Mac. The vast majority of Mac problems reported on this site are the direct result of using such products.
OS X already includes everything it needs to protect itself from viruses and malware. Keep it that way with software updates from Apple.
A much better question is "how should I protect my Mac":
Never install any product that claims to "speed up", "clean up", "optimize", or "accelerate" your Mac. Without exception, they will do the opposite.
Never install pirated or "cracked" software, software obtained from dubious websites, or other questionable sources. Illegally obtained software is almost certain to contain malware.
Don’t supply your password in response to a popup window requesting it, unless you know what it is and the reason your credentials are required.
Don’t open email attachments from email addresses that you do not recognize, or click links contained in an email:
Most of these are scams that direct you to fraudulent sites that attempt to convince you to disclose personal information.
Such "phishing" attempts are the 21st century equivalent of a social exploit that has existed since the dawn of civilization. Don’t fall for it.
Apple will never ask you to reveal personal information in an email. If you receive an unexpected email from Apple saying your account will be closed unless you take immediate action, just ignore it. If your iTunes or App Store account becomes disabled for valid reasons, you will know when you try to buy something or log in to this support site, and are unable to.
Don’t install browser extensions unless you understand their purpose. Go to the Safari menu > Preferences > Extensions. If you see any extensions that you do not recognize or understand, simply click the Uninstall button and they will be gone.
Don’t install Java unless you are certain that you need it:
Java, a non-Apple product, is a potential vector for malware. If you are required to use Java, be mindful of that possibility.
Disable Java in Safari > Preferences > Security.
Despite its name JavaScript is unrelated to Java. No malware can infect your Mac through JavaScript. It’s OK to leave it enabled.
Block browser popups: Safari menu > Preferences > Security > and check "Block popup windows":
Popup windows are useful and required for some websites, but popups have devolved to become a common means to deliver targeted advertising that you probably do not want.
Popups themselves cannot infect your Mac, but many contain resource-hungry code that will slow down Internet browsing.
If you ever see a popup indicating it detected registry errors, that your Mac is infected with some ick, or that you won some prize, it is 100% fraudulent. Ignore it.
Ignore hyperventilating popular media outlets that thrive by promoting fear and discord with entertainment products arrogantly presented as "news". Learn what real threats actually exist and how to arm yourself against them:
The most serious threat to your data security is phishing. To date, most of these attempts have been pathetic and are easily recognized, but that is likely to change in the future as criminals become more clever.
OS X viruses do not exist, but intentionally malicious or poorly written code, created by either nefarious or inept individuals, is nothing new.
Never install something without first knowing what it is, what it does, how it works, and how to get rid of it when you don’t want it any more.
If you elect to use "anti-virus" software, familiarize yourself with its limitations and potential to cause adverse effects, and apply the principle immediately preceding this one.
Most such utilities will only slow down and destabilize your Mac while they look for viruses that do not exist, conveying no benefit whatsoever - other than to make you "feel good" about security, when you should actually be exercising sound judgment, derived from accurate knowledge, based on verifiable facts.
Do install updates from Apple as they become available. No one knows more about Macs and how to protect them than the company that builds them.
Summary: Use common sense and caution when you use your Mac, just like you would in any social context. There is no product, utility, or magic talisman that can protect you from all the evils of mankind.

  • IWeb not responding - have tried all suggestions in this section

I have 4 websites stored in iWeb o9 on a brand new MacBook Pro running all current software and updates. I publish via ftp directly to my domains. I am a Mobile Me user but I do not use this for websites. I do not have the actual files on my desktop. They are embedded in iWeb I am assuming.
Yesterday I went to open iWeb to work on a website and the program would not open. I get a 'not responding' error when I 'option-command-escape' after a lengthy period of time lapsing with no response.
I spent all day yesterday and the better part of this morning following all advice found here. Still nothing.
If i reinstall iWeb 09 from the disk that came with computer, will that erase all my sites? I have copied the 'Domain' file to my desktop just in case and have backed up using Time Machine.
If re installation does indeed wipe it clean, how then should I replace the sites/files?
    TIA
    Lynn

  • App Error 602 & "Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_messaging_app(144) is not responding; process terminated"

    Hi,
I have spent a whole and very frustrating day trying to solve the following problem and in exasperation I resort to a posting here. Note no changes had been made to the phone prior to the start of the problem.
My Blackberry 9800 Torch freezes on power-up. It can only be ‘unfrozen’ by taking out the battery or, if left alone, after many minutes it comes up with the white screen, ‘App Error 602' and ‘Reset’ which is highlighted. Resetting has the same effect as taking out the battery. After each restart, it goes through the usual security and time checks and then freezes again. However, on rare occasions I got the message “Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_messaging_app(144) is not responding; process terminated”.
Soon after the restart, after the Security Software Verification and on confirming the time/date, there is a very small window of opportunity (literally a couple of seconds) to access the phone. After much trial and error, I discovered that (in Manage Connections) by disabling the Mobile Network and WiFi - effectively putting it into ‘aeroplane mode’ - the device would work, without any problem and indefinitely. Except, of course, I couldn’t access the phone network nor the internet, which isn’t helpful(!).
I have taken this opportunity to do a full back-up on to my PC, through BlackBerry Desktop Software (though I’m not sure this backs up downloaded Apps??). Separately, I've also copied all the subdirectories from the phone’s memory and media card on to the PC, retaining their correct structures (but presumably also copying the corruption causing the problem?).
    Any ideas???
    - thanks in advance!

The method you are attempting is the automatic method...sometimes it just doesn't work, and you must take control. The simplest way is to, on a PC (you cannot do this on MAC):
    1) Make sure you have a current and complete backup of your BB...you can find complete instructions via the link in my auto-sig below.
    2) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
    3) Make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed
    http://us.blackberry.com/software/desktop.html
    4) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
It is sorted first by carrier -- so if all you want are the OS levels your carrier supports, your search will be quick. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To truly seek out the most up-to-date OS package for your BB, you must dig through and find all carriers that support your specific model BB, and then compare the OS levels that they support.
    5) Delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
6a) For changing your installed BB OS level (upgrade or downgrade), you can launch the Desktop Software and connect your BB...the software should offer you the OS package you installed to your PC.
6b) Or, for reloading your currently installed BB OS level as well as for changing it, bypass the Desktop Software and use LOADER.EXE directly, by proceeding to step 2 in this process:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...
Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC.
If, during the processes of 6a or 6b, your BB presents a "507" error, simply unplug the USB cord from the BB and re-insert it...don't do anything else...this should allow the install to continue.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:

  • Exchange Server not responding - please try later

    Hi there
Can anyone please help with my E75.
I have had the phone over a year and since day 1 it has syncd perfectly well with my Outlook at work.
Until a couple of days ago!!!
Since then, it has refused to sync my calendar and contacts. It is still syncing e mail but about half way through the syncing process (once it has synced the e mails) I get the error message “exchange server not responding – please try later”.
I have asked my work IT helpdesk but they have said speak to the mobile provider. They also said there’s nothing wrong with their servers but I got the feeling they hadn’t really checked.
My problem is that I don’t know where to start.
Is the problem to do with:-
    My phone?
    Its settings?
    Orange’s servers?
    My work’s servers?
    Nokia’s servers?
    I’m confused – please help.
Ps I can’t believe it is my phone's settings as I haven’t changed these and it worked fine for a year. And, anyway, my credentials must be ok because it is still syncing my e mails.
    Thanks in advance
    Ian

Yes. If your connection to the internet requires proxy authentication, then you won't be able to sign in with the current version of Yahoo! Messenger Beta. Instead, we recommend using Messenger version 8.1 for now. Sorry for the inconvenience! And thanks for reaching out early for the Beta. We’ll get this resolved as soon as possible.

  • ITunes Not Responding/Cannot Sync iPhone since Firmware 3.0

Since I installed 3.0 on my iPhone, iTunes keeps crashing when i connect my iPhone, i can no longer sync it with iTunes. When I connect the iPhone, iTunes stops responding.
I have restarted my PC and my iPhone and have even un-installed and re-installed iTunes from my PC.
It is really frustrating because i recently trialed Mobile Me but decided to cancel the trail as i didnt feel i would use it, after i cancelled my account i lost ALL my contacts and calandar entries and need to sync my iPhone with Outlook to get them back.
I have not downloaded any Podcasts, I have uninstalled anything i downloaded on my Lappy since the last time my iPhone worked with iTunes and nothing I do helps.
    It's soooo annoying!
    Please help!
    Thanks.
    Mac.

I am running Vista and have the not responding ever since Itunes went to 8. I do not subscribe to podcasts, TV shows or anything but music and removing the rest from preferences makes no difference.
If I have my iPhone plugged in before I start iTunes then I can very occassionally get it to work but most of the time it fails.
I have noticed that if iTunes starts accessing the Store then it will sync the iPhone but otherwise it stops responding. Restarting the Apple Mobile Device service makes no difference.
iTunes works fine with my Nano 8Gb.
