My mobile-me email accout does not receieve any emails and does not show the file system

hi - my mobile me email account does not recieve any emails - plus, the file structur is not available on my mac. I am using iphone and ipad, there at least the file structure is visible. I received the notification, that my icloud storage is not sufficiant, I extend this to 80 GB, should not be an issue anymore. However, does not work - I can however sent emails...many thanks for any help

Just to confirm ... by Verizon Web Portal, you mean the Verizon branded Yahoo! web portal page? Correct?    Just want to be sure you're looking in the right place.
If you go into your account settings on Verizon, does it say there that you are the "Yahoo!" experience (probably also has an option listed to allow you to change to AOL as well).
If it says Yahoo! and you are looking on the Yahoo! web portal inbox, then it sounds like your mapping over to the Yahoo! side is not setup properly within the Verizon cloud.   That would take a call to tech support to fix.
Just for giggles, have you tried changing your mailbox password (and not recofniguring any mail clients, etc.).   Just to make sure something isn't quickly grabbing the mail and downloading it before you can see it via the web portal.   Might want to do that just as an experiment.
Another think to try is creating a sub-account for email and see if mail gets delivered to the address.

Itunes 11 does not show the file name or libray name at the top of the application.

I have multiple devices I synch on 1 computer. I have multiple libraries to do this, and press the shift key while clicking on iTunes to get the library up that i want. In iTunes 10, the name of the file/library (I am not sure which) was displayed at the top of the screen. I cannot find that anywhere on iTunes 11. When i am synching multiple devices, i want to make sure i have the right library for the right device pulled up.
Is there any option i can't find, or any way to ensure that i don't synch the wrong device? Of course, i have the warning set if more than 5% of the data changes, but this seems like a pretty simple thing, and a pretty big miss for Apple if they took this away.
Thoughts would be much appreciated...

You know which **** library you are in because it is the one you **** well opened.
If you only use one library, there is no wondering which library you are using.

Terminal not showing invisible files/system files

My terminal application has stopped showing system files files

I created a new admin, same result. sudo bash has given me back use of the terminal but how do I get it back to normal, any ideas?

There are two kinds of "invisible" files and folders - those items whose names begin with a period, and those items which carry a "hidden" flag. Both are normally invisible to Finder, though Finder can be enabled to see them both. Terminal's ls command requires the -a option in order to see items with names that begin with a period, but does not need the -a option to see items that carry the "hidden" flag.
Are you looking for something specific? You listed the contents of your home folder, which doesn't normally contain any executable system files, and doesn't normally contain any items which are invisible because of the "hidden" flag. The home folder does contain a few items with names beginning with a period, which you would be able to see if you use *ls -la*. Of these, the .Trash folder is probably the only item that is of practical interest.
There are invisible system files and folders at the root level of your startup volume. If you want to see all of these, you can use
ls -la /
Even without the -a option, the command
ls -l /
will show those hidden system items that are of most practical interest (/Volumes, /bin, /etc, /private, /sbin, /tmp, /usr, /var )

ITunes not showing the file wich is playing

when using the grid albums view whenever i access an album and start playing a track, it doesnt show the little gray arrow next to it and the speaker, so i cant see in the playlist which is the one thats being played
if i use coverflow or simple playlist it shows it
if i start playing it with the grid view and then change the view it doesnt show
if i start playing in any of the other two views and then change to grid it stops showing it
it seems a stupid thing...but id like the little mark on which is the file im listening to
is it just me, or itunes is like that?

I just checked and you are right. I can't be sure if it ever did as I don't use grid view normally.
You still see the tack playing in the normal way at the top of the screen.
Why not use the iTunes feedback option on the iTunes help menu to report this.

Open/Save Dialog does not show new files?

Say you are working on a logic file in a folder and you have
a few audio and movie files in that folder, and you launch
Logic and via the open/save dialog window you add a few
files to your song and in that dialog window you can see
all the files in that folder.
Then, in the Finder you add a few more files and movies to
that folder and again use the open/save dialog window to
add more files BUT the new files you added since launching
logic are NOT SHOWN in the dialog window ! ?
What's the deal with that?
Every other app can show files added since the launch of the
application, why not Logic?

um, yeah.
Should not need the project manager simply to see new files added to a directory in a Open/Save dialog window since last opening the app.
I did a scan, a extended scan, opened all the little turn down arrows of the
full path to the directory I knew there to be the new files and yes, Logic
shows them there in the "Project manager".
BUT Logic still does not show the files in the Open/Save dialog windows.
This is strange because even simple app like TextEdit can show
new files in it's Open/Save dialog function windows without the need of
a project manager.
I have to quit and re-launch each time to see any new files?

Configure XQuery Transformation dialog does not show mfl file

I have created a valid mfl file. I would like to use this file as an input type.
I have copied the file into the schema directory, however the Configure XQuery
Transformation dialog does not show the file.

Might be corrupted Finder preferences.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.finder.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac.

Spotlight does not show the path or location of a file anymore when hovering with the mouse over the file

in Leopard Spotlight used to show you the path /location of a file when you stayed with the mouse over the result. As sometimes I just look for the location of a file not to open it like a mp3 file. It would be nice to have a opiton in spotlight to contorl or right click a file and then give the option to say show in finder. that only works when you have your results show up in finder first and takes a bit longer. or maybe in the new prieview window to show the loaation or give you opitons what to do with the file

When you hover over a file in spotlight list (or select with up/down arrow) you can also hit command-R to open the folder where the file is located. Kind of like 'Show Original' for aliases.
But yeah, Apple really needs to just show the directory path on the hover pop-up by default. Obviously, when you do a search you'll most likely get several files with the same name - we need to see the locations to tell them apart. One of the main reasons to do a file search is to simply find out 'where the file is located' - not necessarily open the file. Seems pretty shortsighted to not show the file location in the search result.

Not Showing: PDF file

I tried to download a PDF file and iI got this message:

This sounds you are not viewing the PDF in a browser that uses its own PDF viewer instead of Adobe Reader (Firefox or Chrome).

After update to IOS 6.0, on the iPhone 4 and 4s, emails can not be forwarded. I tried to resync, but the update does not show the forwarding buttons anymore.

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if the email text shows when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't fix it then try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

iCloud is only available in Lion, 10.7. You will have to upgrade to Lion in order to get into iCloud. If you transfered a .mac or .me address to iCloud through mobile me, or you have another device iCloud enabled, then you can log into the iCloud.com website.

Ever since enabling Soft Delete on one of my tables, the logs are flooded with "... does not support the 'deleted' system property"

I enabled Soft Delete on one of my Azure Mobile Services tables, and ever since then, the logs are flooded with tons of warnings that say something like this:
The table 'Section' does not support the 'deleted' system property.
Is there a way to suppress these warnings, or is it advisable to enable soft delete for all of my tables?
As a follow on, is there a way to export the logs so that it's easier to peruse through them and search?

You can set your logging level in Azure Admin portal to be Error only, so it only logs errors and warnings will be ignored.
