My monitor looks 90 degrees to the right.
How can I fix this?

Sorry, but could you extend your description with some more details like which monitor of which machine and which operating system. Perhaps it would be useful when you post the graphics card manufacturer and what you did because your description definetively tells nothing really about your problem.

I Have two monitors but cannot get the right configuration

My main monitor (apple cinema display) is located in front of me and have a monitor to the left (a Samsung). The problem is getting to Samsung to behave as it is located to the left of the main display when I move the cursor. I have to go through the right of the main display to get to it. I have tried changing settings in the Nvidia panel, but there is not way to re-arrange the monitors as you can in OSX.
I have a Macpro with win7 installed in a bootcamp partition.

The screen looks squished to the right for Facebook and Yahoo! on my MAC using FF 3.6.8

The screen started looking strange last night so I used a different browser on Facebook. This morning, the same issue is happening with Yahoo! home page. The screen data is all squished to the right. I close the browser in the evening and then "quit" so that the computer can automatically restart as scheduled in the middle of the night. The cache is cleared by this process. I have a MAC on OS 10.4. The only update I've done recently is to download the latest Open Office version.

I must have forgotten; it wasn't exactly FF support, but Mozillazine. '''Thank you for the pointer'''. The "long list" I was thinking of was in fact about:config, which is pointed to by that page.
Given all that, I think it should be easier to find Mozillazine from the FireFox support pages.

Why are my videos not playing the right way up

I took four video clips while on a trip this week. Two are oriented the right way (playing wide on the device and imported correctly). The other two are Tall and not oriented right. Orientation is 90 degrees to the right. I don't know why this is happening on occasions. Even some pictures I took did the same **** thing. It's weird. And I can't figure it out. The camera is held the way I want the pictures and videos to be recorded and played but something internal is turning these videos and pictures 90 degrees clockwise.

Who can give the right information to receive my email via iCloud on a iMac with Snow Leopard? It can't be upgraded to Lion.

I still have problems since migrating to iCloud with receiving email through my Mail app on my iMac running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 (and it can't be upgraded to Lion). Like I found on different places on internet, in Mail Preferences I made a new account, once with imap.mail.me.com and once with p02-imap.mail.me.com, like differently advised. Sometimes it works, sometimes not, untill I fill in again and again the advised changes in the Preferences.
Is there a good advise arround to have my settings once and for all running well, as I expect from Apple stuff? Is Apple listening to the many complaints on this iCloud matter, or is my Apple Micro becoming too Soft to be heard?

Right you are with stating you can't have MobileMe and iCloud at the same time. To explain the history of my problem:
I have a small network of 3 computers: 1) MacBook Air 1.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo - 2) iMac 2.66 GHz Intel Core i5 - 3) iMac 2 GHz Intel Core Duo
For the first time hesitating to upgrade as soon as a new system is available, a friend nevertheless could convince me of the usefullness of Lion and iCloud. During upgrading process I found out that my - 3) iMac just was narrowly to "old" for Lion.
And indeed the migration from MobileMe to iCloud went almost automatically. But quite soon I established that my "old" iMac was no more receiving @mac.com mail. Having a look to the preferences of Mail, I couldn't change anything as I had no more MobileMe access, being migrated to iCloud. Apple information told me to select "Mail, Contacts & Calendars" in the System Preferences, but Snow Leopard has no such thing.
Search on internet told me more or less how to set up an IMAP account in Snow Leopard in Mail preferences with as server address "imap.mail.me.com" with SSL on and use of port 993. This shortly worked. After restart no more. Setting up the account again and again, sometimes working, sometimes not. This is not exactly an almost automatically migration. Some other information told me to use "p02-imap.mail.me.com".
Current situation: after start up, a window from Mail asks me to give my password for the account on the MobileMe IMAP-server "mail.me.com" (which I expected to be "p02-imap.mail.me.com"). Password not accepted, retry and retry, then just click on Cancel. Result: iCloud account has a kind of lightning symbol next to it (= not working). I click on the symbol, one time it disappears and the account works, one time it asks for the password again, and again not accepted. Repeating this procedure untill it works. So for 3 days I realized to make it finally working up to now, but all this does not look to be the right way and doesn't sound a too reassuring situation to me.
When I look at Mail preferences in Snow Leopard now:
Account Type: MobileMe IMAP
Incoming Mail Server: mail.me.com (expected here p02-imap.mail.me.com)
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): p02-imap.mail.me.com
(Advanced) Authentication: Apple Token
What I find in preferences (automatically established) on my Lion computers:
Account Type: iCloud IMAP
Incoming Mail Server: p99-imap.mail.me.com (shows grey)
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.me.com
(Advanced) Authentication: Password (no Apple Token option)
So I tried to make Snow Leopard Mail similar based on the Lion preferences:
Account Type: MobileMe IMAP (found no way to change to iCloud IMAP)
Incoming Mail Server: mail.me.com (shows grey, found no way to change to "p99-imap.mail.me.com")
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.me.com
(Advanced) Authentication: Password (no Apple Token option)
Same result as before: asks for password, which I have to cancel, then click away the lightning symbol, after which it works (but perhaps not tomorrow).

What does the icon in the right hand corner of some movie clips mean.

I have my movie almost done but now I find many of the clips have a small screen looking icon in the right hand top corner of the clip. I can't delete those. What does it mean and where do I get rid of it?

When I boot up my Mac Pro, I get a small black puzzle looking piece on the lower right side of my thunderbolt

I get a small black puzzle looking piece on the lower right side of my 1st thunderbolt monitor when I boot up. It goes away once the computer fully boots, it is only on there for a second or so. Does anyone have a similar issue?

Can someone point me in the right direction for a second monitor adaptor for my iMac?

I'm trying to add a second monitor to my Late 2006 20 inch iMac (yes it still works just fine and I can't afford to upgrade yet). I'm having a hard time finding the right adaptor for the monitor, I've bought the wrong thing twice now (the second one I got looks like its just for Power PC, it won't go in here but it fits in my iBook G4 just fine)
I've been searching but everything I find is either for newer or older models then mine Does someone might know of a place where I could find one that will fit my machine? Thank you!

The late-2006 iMac has a mini-DVI port, so you'll just need a mini-DVI to the appropriate input for your monitor. The adapter you have for your iBook will not work. You can get adapters from the Apple Store as well as many other vendors.

Problem with slideshow in iPhoto. Photos look like they are all the right way up but when in slideshow action some are sideways.

even though all photos look like they are the right way up, when the slideshow commences, some of them display sideways. I have tried re-rotating them - and still have same problem. Help please - need it for Saturday night !

What version of iPhoto are you using? Are you creating the slideshow directly from an album or are you using the slideshow mode?
As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

I'm using Acrobat Pro 11. When printing an email to PDF most of the time it cuts off the text on the right margin. Setting look OK and I've moved things around on the email, but that doesn't seem to make any difference. Is there an Adobe setting I'm missi

Like I said above, print to Adobe pdf and it wants to cut off the text on the right margin. I can't see to find a setting that changes this. Any ideas??

OK, so I have now found that this is apparently normal for iTunes, to only accept mpeg 4 movie files, all the searching I did before I must have worded it wrong because I couldn't find anything about this, incredibly. Had been looking for why iTunes won't take all the files it previously did, like if it had been changed, and it hasn't, it's allegedly always taken only mpeg 4 files. Also I had been searching for why iTunes crashes every time I try and add/import anything but mpeg 4 files, and even sometimes with mpeg 4 files. That isn't normal, it's supposed to just do nothing apparently as I've just found out. So for these reasons I didn't find the answer despite my searching all over the web.
So I guess that answers my own question now, but I'm still perplexed as to why I absolutely, definitely, without any doubt, had several hundred movies of a few different video file types loaded, accessible and playable in my iTunes library that everything here claims iTunes never accepted. It apparently shouldn't have been possible for me to have done this, but for probably 10 years it's been this way.
Perhaps since I don't remember adding these files to iTunes anymore recently than maybe 6 or 7 years ago, the iTunes back then did accept all kinds of file types? Or could I have somehow had some video codecs or software that expanded the capability of my movie players like Quicktime Player that unwittingly also allowed iTunes to take those files as well? All I know is somehow it worked! So now my question is how did I have it working before, so that maybe I can make it work again.

The picture in the gallery is correct. The picture you are looking at before you capture it is a mirror image such as you are used to looking at, otherwise you would not be able to handle it. Look at More Like This >>>>>>>

You cannot. You can only upgrade to the currently supported version of the iOS which, at this time is iOS 7.0.2.

Tv monitor no longer the right dimentions

I've been using my Samsung TV as a second monitor for a while now and it worked fine untill a few months back I updated the software on the TV and now there is a 1cm black gap down the right hand side where it meets my Mac and I lose 1cm off the left side. If any1 knows how to fix this pls let me know.

I need help! I bought an external drive to backup the computer. but although the computer recognizes it (shows up on the right side with the icon - mybook3.0 - I cannot get time machine to look for a hard disc - it only wants to use airport!

I want to use time machine. So, I got a mybook3.0 and hooked it up. the computer recognizes it fine (shows the icon on the desktop etc) but time machine refuses to look for any hard disk, going on airport instead and refusing to let me select anything or do anything manually (buttons are not clickable - and anyway, no HD at all shows)
I'm getting frustrated!!

Just to clarify - when you run Disk Utility (in your Utilities folder) the drive you bought doesn't show up in the window under your boot drive?
If it appears on your desktop, you should see it in the Disk Utility window as this displays all mounted drives.
You then click on the drive (Mybook3.0 or whatever it appears as), and choose Erase from the options on the right.
