when you see lenovo logo, press f2 for bios, set default setting or just make a boot order for your device:
first device > hdd, second device >dvd.
or just remove the disk from dvdrom.

  • Mouse cursor keeps dissapearing ?

help. Mouse cursor keeps disapearing. Renders whole machine useless. Have to do hard re-boot to recover cursor

I have OS X 10.9 (Mavericks), & my cursor has just recently started disappearing!
    This did´nt happen in Lion.
The cursor just goes invisable at random, but mostly when I switch between Tabs mostly when I´m in Safari.
I then swipe to another App (Like Finder or something), then back to Safari & there it is!
I don´t use a mouse but a Trackpad (Not that that should make a difference).
Also the cursor jumps to another position when typing without me even touching the Trackpad.
    Any suggestions?

What program did you use to fix the internal hard drive? What repairs did it report making? More crucially, if repairs were reported, did you re-run the utility until it reported no problems found? It's possible for one set of problems with a drive to mask others.
If you have about 5GB or so free space on the internal hard drive, you can use your OS X Install disc to perform an Archive and Install to recover from the failed Software Update. When the computer restarts, download and run the OS X Update Combo 10.4.11 (Universal). When the Mac restarts after that, run Software Update. During all this, make sure nothing interrupts or shuts down the Mac! Note that the first start after each of these updates will take significantly longer than subsequent starts, so be very patient.
How did you back up your internal drive to the external one? Did you just drag things over in the Finder, or did you use a utility such as SuperDuper! or CarbonCopyCloner? Does the external HD show up as a bootable volume in System Preferences > Startup Disk, or using Startup Manager?

  • My cursor keeps blinking every 30 secs or so even when no app is being used. How can I stop this?

    Hi there!
I hope you can help me with this. Just today, my cursor keeps on blinking (or loading?) every 30 seconds or so for no reason at all. At first I thought it was the auto-save for my MS Word, but even after I closed it, it's still blinking even when I'm not
using any apps. Tried killing spooler in task manager as I saw in other forums but it's still blinking.
Would very much appreciate your help.
    I'm using a Toshiba Satellite L40D-A, Windows 8.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hey Readie85,
Thanks for the question. This alert usually appears if there is debris in your dock connector. Check to make sure it is free of any debris:
“This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPhone."
"This accessory is not supported by this device."
If either of these alerts appear and nothing is connected to the dock connector, make sure that the dock connector is free of debris.

  • Macbook Pro 15" Retina Mid 2014 MOUSE/TRACKPAD LAG. PLEASE HELP!!

    Hello,
I just bought a new Macbook Pro OSX Yosemite this week. Retina, 15 inch, Mid 2014. 2.2 GHz i7. 16GB RAM. 256 GB HD. I've been noticing a lag when I use the trackpad and the bluetooth mighty mouse. It seems to happen completely randomly. If I don't use my computer for a long time and then start to use it again it sometimes lags for a second and then works, and then lags again, and on and on...
Sometimes the lags are 2 seconds long and sometimes they're less than 1 second long. It seems my mouse, trackpad AND keyboard are all affected by this problem. I'm pretty upset, seeing as how I paid over 2 grand for this computer. Does anybody have ANY idea at all what is causing this AND what I can do about it?? I'm not a huge computer guy.
The problem doesn't seem big enough to get a whole new computer. It seems like an Apple technician could fix this in 2 seconds. Wouldn't you agree? Please help. Thanks

I have similar problems with a much older system (a late 2008 MacBook Pro). In my case, the  problems with BlueTooth peripheral (mainly the Magic Mouse) are almost always associated with TimeMachine back-ups. This is a well known problem in the sense that I have seen posts about it going back to 2011, but I have never seen any specific solutions offered.

  • Actiontec GT701C DSL light keeps flashing please help

I use to have the WIFI router from verizon but the wifi range was not strong enough for certain items in my home... in addition the items could not even find the network on wifi. i replaced it with a Actiontec GT701C so i could use my old wireless router that was strong enough to support my whole home .. But know when i connect my DSL line to the New modem the GT701c i can not access the internet .. i Could get to the configure screen but other than that the DSL Light keeps flashing any suggestions.. i have rebooted the modem and tryed diffrent phone line and phone jacks in my home please help !!!

Does your older modem connect still? If so, could you tell us which modem it is so that we could help you obtain the Transceiver Statistics from it? It's possible the ActionTec could either be defective or it could be sensitive to noise on the line if the signal isn't the greatest.

  • InDesign Keeps Crashing - Please Help

Please help. It has been a nightmare since we installed CS4. InDesign CS3 never crashed. But since we upgraded to CS4 it has continuously crashed.
For some reason I keep getting the error "network connection lost for the C:\file.indd or the file was modified by another process". And then the system crashes. It usually happens as we are placing or link pictures. Occasionally it will happen as we are exporting to a PDF.
We store all of our pictures and artwork on a Netgear file server. I don't think that is the culprit because CS4 and CS3 worked fine. Does anyone have any solution to this problem.
I checked Adobe's website and they are aware of this error but only post a solution for a mac. We use PC's here, so upgrading Leopard will not help.
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=331822
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

If you really think (despite the error message) that the network is not
part of the problem here, test your theory by eliminating it. Move your
files to your local hard disk and see if the crashes continue.

  • HT1338 My macBook pro i5 2.5 dual core screen in blinking, please help me out in this issue. I am using mac os x 10.8.2

I have bought new macbook pro 13.3" i5 2.5 dual core. I was working fine but suddenly when i restarted my macbook after a shutdown its screen started blinking or scattering type. But before shutdown it was working very fine, dont know what happened to it. Please help me out.

Try running the Apple Hardware test to see if it picks anything up:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11342
You can also try starting in the safe mode to see if the condition is the same. Booting in this mode takes a long time to start:

  • Default dictionary keeps reverting, please help!!!

I am running Firefox 9 on Windows 7. I use the spell check very often and I love it. However, I have changed the default dictionary to UK English but every time I close firefox it changes it back to US English. I have even resorted to deleting all other English dictionaries choices but alas it keeps resorting back. I know this sounds silly, but I have to use the UK English for personal and professional reasons. I am using a UK laptop with all default settings set to UK English. Please help so effing annoying!

    See:
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Preferences+are+not+saved
You can uninstall the en-US version and install the en-GB version instead.
The en-GB version doesn't come with a dictionary, so you need to install the the en-GB dictionary.
You can look here for dictionaries:

  • Mouse cursor keeps disappearing under 10.7

Ever since I've installed 10.7 I notice that the mouse cursor has a tendency to keep dissappearing in most apps, particularly Safari. For example, like when I click a text box to type an email in Hotmail. The cursor dissappears and only re-appears when I move the mouse to get the cursor out of the program app. But after it reappears, I got back to Safari it gets hidden again. This is very frustrating indeed as I have no idea where the mouse is on the page.
As a matter of fact, as I enter this question in the text box, the cursor has completely dissappeared and only reappears (but then quickly hides again) when I go inside and outside of the text block. I know normally the cursor would dissappear when I started typing, but this happens even when I'm not and I'm shaking the mouse to try to unhide it
However it seems to happen in other apps as well, but is most frequently happening in Safari probably mostly since that is my most common app.

The cursor dissappears whenever you type on the keyboard. It just always happens globally.

  • "java.sql.SQLException: Ref cursor is invalid" - Please help

    Hi everyone,
I'm really having problem. I'm surrently calling a PL/SQL stored procedure from Java but I'm getting the following error:
    java.sql.SQLException: Ref cursor is invalid
The procedure has 2 normal IN parameters and 1 ref cursor OUT parameter. Depending upon Parameter 1 a ref cursor may or may not be initialised.
If Parameter 1 is "yes" then a ref cursor is called to retrieve some data and passed into the OUT. If Parameter 1 is set to "no" then the ref cursor is not initialised. It is here where the error is being hrown. Does anyone know why? Microsoft ADO doesn't seem to complain. Please help is needed. Thanks in advance.
    John

    Hi Justin,
Thanks for replying. The Java code is a bit awkward to send because we're using several "home-made" wrapper objects to call SQL and stored procedures. In both cases I create a resultset object and only this one object is used irrespective if the first parameter is "yes" or "no", but a ref cursor is passed to the OUT parameter only on condition yes. Hence, the PL/SQL code takes the form similar to:
    OPEN curs FOR SELECT * FROM table;
The "curs" is then put into the OUT of the procedure. When the parameter is "no" then the "curs" ref cursor in the PL/SQL procedure isn't even initialised like the above. At this point Java complains of an invalid ref cursor. I can try and piece togather the code but it may be very tricky.

  • Animations Cause Mouse Cursor to Blink

I just upgraded my video card and am now using the <code>nvidia</code> drivers (I also upgraded my monitor to a Dell Ultrasharp 2005FPW at the same time).  Ever since then, my mouse cursor blinks when either doing animations like the typical hourglass (wait cursor), or when I happen to be hovering the normal cursor over an animation (like the loading screen of Xfce, for example).
The cursor blinking doesn't really cause any problems, but it is somewhat annoying.  Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Add "Option "HWCursor" "off"" in Device section (where your GPU is defined) of xorg.conf.
