My mouse seems to be very stiff to press, what can I do to either clean the mouse, or bring it back to its original condition?

My mouse on my Mc pro notebook is very stiff to press, how can I get it adjusted and cleaned?   Please help.   Thank you

You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists. If it doesn't work, there isn;t much anyone here can do for you. It may be a physical problem with your speakers.

    While I was having the problem, I was already using Ovro and had the font "Siyam Rupali" selected. I changed the font to "SolaimanLipi" provided by Prothom Alo and my problems with Facebook, Gmail and Bangla blogs are gone now.

    assuming it is an optical mouse (no ball etc.) then there aren't any moving parts involve in the motion detection
    so there's a faulty component or connection
    from what you describe it could be just a loose/broken connection, so if you know someone familiar with electronics see if they can open it up and have a look

    Can't decide whether they are the product of overheating or merely that someone sprayed some product nearby, that was incompatible with the plastic.

  • How can you execute a function while the mouse is over a button.

    I've got a movieclip I want to move across the screen on the x axis to the left or right depending on which button the user hovers their mouse over.
    I thought I could do this with the following:
    right_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, moveRight);
    left_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, moveLeft);
    function moveRight(e.MouseEvent):void
         sampleMovieclip_mc.x += 1;
    function moveLeft(e.MouseEvent):void
         sampleMovieclip_mc.x -= 1;
    But I find that it only moves it 1 pixel when the mouse first goes over the button and not continiously as it stays over it.  I tried using Event.ENTER_FRAME to call the moveRight and moveLeft functions, but it just keeps going and I'm not sure how to kill the function once they move the mouse off of the button.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    use removeEventListener() method. Here is one of the ways to deal with it:
    // move direction
    var xd:int = 1;
    // speed along x
    var xs:Number = 1;
    right_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, onMouseOver);
    right_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OUT, onMouseOut);
    left_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, onMouseOver);
    left_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OUT, onMouseOut);
    function onMouseOver(e:MouseEvent):void {
         xd = e.curretnTarget == right_btn ? 1 : -1;
         addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, onEnterFrame);
    function onMouseOut(e:MouseEvent):void {
         removeEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, onEnterFrame);
    function onEnterFrame(e:Event):void
         sampleMovieclip_mc.x += xd * xs;

  • Hi all, my mac book pro boots up, but my track pad operation is strange, cannot click on anything, although it moves around screen ok. Cannot launch anything, nor close anything. Cannot get task bar to pop up either with the mouse movement.

    Hi All,
    My mac book pro 13". It boots ok and skype launches on boot up. connects to internet etc. However, whilst the mouse moves around the scren ok, used via the track pad, I cannot open anything, close anything, or get the task bar to pop up.
    I can close the laptop down via the power key, and can use some short cut keys, but the track pad operation is iffy, can you suggest how I rectify this.
    I have now solved this, for future reference, I have a magic track pad as well and that was connected via bluetooth and sitting else where in the house. It blocked the laptops trackpad operations. When disconnected, my laptop track pad works fine.
    Cheers

  • Why can I no longer scroll with the mouse when using Pages?

    A few days ago, I realized that I am unable to scroll within a Pages document with the mouse.  The scroll bar is not there.  The scroll feature works fine, and after trying to figure this out myself with no success, I thought I'd ask here.  I have Pages '09 and I'm using OS X 10.9.5.

    Thanks.  That's not the problem.  Scrolling works in everything else except Pages.  I used to be able to scroll just by using my finger up or down on the mouse.  Now, I can't do that.  I tried setting the scroll bars to "Always", but then I have to physically click on the scroll bar and move it up and down.  Not like it's that much hassle, lol, but I got used to just scrolling with my finger on the mouse.

  • What can be done to enable multiple usb  "mouse" buttons  in Solaris 10 ?

    My usb multimedia keyboard is recognized as a "combined" usb device.
    Two /dev/usb/hidx are created , one with usb keyboard driver attached, the other with the usb mouse driver attached.
    Events are generated for the scroll wheel on the keyboard, but not for the cca. 30 extra buttons.
    Is there a way to enable multiple buttons support for the "mouse" device ?
    The OS is Solaris 10 x86 u3

    I don't know how ZAxis... can make those buttons work.
    Pressing those keys don't generate any event in xev.
    xmodmap -pp shows a maximum of 24 buttons which I cannot map to anything.
    On linux there are some drivers and applications one can use to map the keys.
    On Solaris, I don't know.

  • I just downloaded (updated) Firefox to V 20.0.1 now the "search" does not work, either via the mouse click or the enter key. Windows XP.

    Updated to latest version, V 20.0.1 Now when on the home page the "search" does not function with mouse click or the enter key. Currently running XP Service pack 3. I also have the same problem (after same firefox update at home with my HP laptop running Windows 7.

    You can check if you still have the XML files of the default search engines including Google in the searchplugins folder in Firefox program folder.<br />
    If not then you need to reinstall Firefox.
    Try to use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.
    *https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/searchreset/
    Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).
    Try to delete the search.json file and a possible search.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
    Firefox will rebuild the search.json file from the default search engines in the searchplugins folder in the Firefox program folder and the searchplugins folder in the Firefox profile folder.
    Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
    Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    *Firefox 20.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
    Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
    *Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you will also lose your personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
    Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    *It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_Firefox
    Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
    If you keep having problems then also create a new profile.

  • Very unhappy customer! Why can't we do ZENcasts with the ZenStone Pl

    I know, I know, "It does not support PlaysForSure and subscription content."?
    But why? Why didn't you create that capability into the player, CREATIVE? It's certainly an expensi've enough item!!!
    You certainly lure people into buying one of your players using the podcasts on your website, specifically on the "Fill Your Zen" page, in which a Zen Stone is pictured:? http://us.creative.com/local//promo/...hoice/fill.asp
    Someone might infer from that, that they could get a Zen Stone and it would work on the ZENcast page.
    I have spent an entire day trying to figure out how to get this to work, only to find out that it doesn't do what I bought it for in the first place.
    Thank you very, very much (not!) Creative Labs

    Hi Hermgirl,
    We're sorry for the misrepresentation that happen on the product and we're making the changes soon on the site.
    Again, thanks for the feedback and our apologies.

  • Is there any way to clean the mouse button?

    Everytime I click it seems real tough, like maybe something was spilled in it, although I didn't. Does it come off like the keys to clean?

    Hi, Barry. No, the trackpad button doesn't readily come off for cleaning. Other than using canned compressed air to blow all around the button's perimeter and try to dislodge any material that may be stuck under the button, I don't know of much you can do. If there is sticky glop under the button, your only repair option is to replace the top case, which includes the trackpad assembly.
    A workaround, of course, is to use a USB mouse with the Powerbook.
