Downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple. You will get errors/it will not work
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Try following the steps in this article, and try to go about restoring your iPod again. See if you can't get it to work...

Also, it never hurts to try to put the iPod into disk mode whenever you're going to restore it.

  • My iPod has been stuck in recovery mode for 3 hours

I was trying to downgrade my iPod 5th generation from iOS 8.1.3 to 8.1 in order to install jailbreak, which, if I do somehow manage to get my iPod working again, I swear to god I will not try again. During this process, which I done using a tutorial, downloading the older version then selecting 'update' with the shift key on iTunes, with my iPod plugged in. Above as it was attempting to downgrade above was the words 'extracting', it was after this process my iPod went into reocovery mode and I have not been able to get it out since. I've tried clicking the home and off button about a million times, it just shows the apple logo briefly and then goes back to the recovery sign. I have no way of contacting apple support as I have no access to a phone and obviously can't input my serial number to perform diagnostics as it instructs via email as I can't get it on. Please help.

  • My film download is stuck on processing!

My film download is stuck on processing status, any ideas ?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Force a restart, if the problem persists:
Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option which is revealed in the iTunes app on your iOS device by tapping the more button at the bottom of the screen.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

  • My iPhone with iTunes match is extremely slow downloading songs, stuck on processing file

I have a 64GB iPhone 5, with iTunes Match enabled. Whenever I try to download songs to the phone, the songs will download very quickly, usually with 15 seconds, but then it will be stuck on Processing File for 15-20 minutes. This makes it very difficult to download large numbers of songs. I have been trying to download ~3000 songs since Friday and there are still 492 left after 4 days. Any ideas why the processing file action takes so long?
Internet speed: 15ms ping, 35mbps download, 11mbps upload
    iOS version: 7.1.2
    Capacity: 57.1GB
    Available: 30.7GB
    Thanks,
    Randy

I'm trying to load ~20k songs onto my new iPhone 6 via iTunes Match, and I'm only about 1/20 along after two days
I can't even track the progress using the iTunes Store app since the app either crashes immediately upon launch or doesn't show the "Downloads" tab (if I reboot the phone, I'll see the "Downloads" tab once with a badge indicating the number of songs remaining, but after locking up the app for a few minutes, the "Downloads" tab disappears until I reboot again).
Instead, I get alerts every so often reporting "Unable to Purchase" as sync downloads occasionally fail. The only way I'm able to see that anything is still progressing at all is by going to Settings -> General -> About and observing the "Songs" number very slowly incrementing.
Meanwhile, I cannot update any apps since app update downloads appear to queue up behind iTunes Match syncs instead of being entirely independent.
I have been terribly disappointed with Apple's handling of iTunes Match.

  • Yosemite upgrade stuck at x minutes for 10+ hours

    Hi,
This is for the 6th time I am trying to upgrade.
It was a terrible idea, never faced it in my happy 10 years using a mac.
I wanted to upgrade it, it downloaded and now trying to upgrade for 14 hours straight.
The machine is running from last 40 hours, it is a Mid 2010 macbook pro.
Simply it is stuck at 4 minutes ( this is new, earlier it stuck at 3 minutes for 6 hours ) and log quota exceeded.
    Please help.
Yes, I have tex, homebrew all these sort of stuff installed.
I promise never to upgrade to a free OS  ( unless it is my kubuntu from where Iam typing it in )  again.
But for this time please help.
I have upgraded 4 times on different macs, never ever had this much trouble.
    When it would end?

I finally decided that enough it enough, and cleaned the disk drive and installed Mac OS X.
I could back up data, and that was good enough for me.
    Everything is fine.
I suggest anyone facing the issue should do the same.

  • IOS 6.1 download problems - stuck in recovery mode

If your iPad, iPhone or iPod are stuck in recovery mode, try the following:
    1.  download the firmware for your device: http://www.ngbtips.com/download-links-ios-6-1-official-firmware.html
    2.  plug your device into a computer running iTunes
    3.  when the "restore device box" pops up, control click on button to restore
    4.  restore your device from the firmware you downloaded
    Hope this helps!

    Maybe:
Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)
Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .
Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
Then try restoring on another computer.
Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • I have updated to IOS 6, the App store won't work, is stuck in update mode for 1 day and the battery now goes flat in 3 hrs without use. Can I go back to IOS 5?

Hi, I was forced to upgrade to IOS 6 due to a restore.
Since the upgrade, I have lost information, the App store is stuck in update mode, my battery drains in hours and many more problems.
Is there a way to go back to the VERY RELIABLE IOS 5? This phone is nearly useless now.
    Thanks

Just FYI - the situation is resolved.  I downloaded the new snow leopard 10.6.8 update for safari and now itunes works.  I have no idea what that has to do with anything - but I saw it on another forum and it actually worked.

  • PSE 7 Editor not responding. Stuck in thinking mode for eternity...

Hoping for some help with this issue. Pleeeezee
I start in Organizer, choose an image to edit, click on the quick fix (shoot in Raw), do some simple changes, then if I need more fixes I click on Open Image. The Editor window pops open and then the thinking mode for eternity is what happens next. Sometimes the image does finally appear but it could take several minutes. Has become increasing worse lately where images do not appear at all.
Has 3GB memory, maxed out the memory usage in the performance. Just uninstalled PSE then re-installed it and still have the same issue.
Not sure what else I can try. If anyone has ideas or has dealt with this same issue before, please share.
    Thanks!!
    -Martin

Please provide more specific info about your computer - processor (single or dual), OS (XP, Vista or 7), 32-bit, video card, etc.
You realize RAW file will require a lot of power to process.  Using a memory-stick (ReadyBoost) may help.
Personally, I gave up trying to process RAW in PSE - switched to Lightroom 2.  Only use PSE for editing work beyond scope of LR2 - like Panaramas, merged exposure, etc.

  • Booting to safe mode? been stuck on boot screen for 2  hours? Help please

Hello, I had a problem with my Mac which I have posted previously right here, https://discussions.apple.com/message/22649979#22649979
The first reply I recieved told me to boot to safe mode, so i followed the instructions and my computer has been stuck on the white screen with the rotating loading boot thing for 2+ hours.
I have never booted to safe mode
I heard that booting to safe mode can sometimes take a while but surely not 2+ hours??
to be clear this is the screen I am talking about
I have no back ups of my computer [I know thats not smart], it is far out of warranty, I am a student that has many important documents on here and all my music and family photos. Please help. I go back to school very soon and need this computer in working order! thank you to any one that helps

If you want to preserve the data on the boot drive, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else. It may or may not be possible. Do not try to repair the volume if you have no backups. The result could be total, irrevocable data loss.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that is not fully functional. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
    1. Boot from the Recovery partition or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) Launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in this support article, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.”
    2. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, boot the non-working Mac in target disk mode. Use the working Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
    3. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.
