My music cuts out and sounds staticy
when i play my music through itunes its sounds staticy, cuts out, jumps etc. its so annoying!!this doesnt happen when i use windows media player. can someone please tell me what wrong with it..cheers..

I'm not sure which is the sound card?
I have been using a hip-hop forum as 1 tab & I play a game called Football Manager while listening to iTunes. I have also veiwed some other sites while listening & the problem persits.
When I start iTunes, it usualy starts fine, but lasts less then 1 song & the problems start & they seem to get progressivly worse untill the track is unlistenable to. This is in the space of about 2-3 mins. I also use Firefox & have the music control bar at the bottom of my browser. Dunno if that what make a differance.?

Hello,
I purchased my ipod a while ago and its been working fine for about a year.
but recently whenever i turn my ipod on, i hear a quiet noise which is like "static" or "white noise" and when i press down a button i hear a muffled click like you've just pulled the headphones out, and none of the files i try to play work... no movies, music, podcasts or anything, the ipod indicates that its playing the file, but the timer just stays at 0.00!
Does anyone know how to address this problem?

BB Curve 8310 w/Jabra BT8040 Music Cut Outs
I listen to streaming radio (Pandora) through my BlackBerry Curve 8310 and had no trouble with standard wired headphones. Yesterday I got a Jabra BT8040 bluetooth headset and everything works great except that intermittently the music cuts out and then back on. I've noticed that every time this happens, the double arrows appear in the upper right hand of the phone screen indicating that the phone is sending or receiving data. Is this a buffering or cache issue that is interfering with the signal to the headset? I'm hoping that this is a simple fix 'cause the headset works great otherwise.

i am using 8310 curve which reboots radomly, it doesnt reboot in standby mode or while plugged in pc through usb, but if i use it randomly as like hearing music or making a call or texting anyone it reboots, so plz can anyone help me in this case, i would be greatful, here is my event log collected using jl_cmder, thankyou.
The Blackberry is designed to be reset by removing the battery whilst the device is powered-on. Leave the battery out for a minute or 2.
See if that resolves the problem.

Most common origin.
1. Imported audio from iTunes.
• In iTunes copy out as an audio-CD .aiff
• Use this in Your movie project
2. Low - Free Space on Start-up/Boot/Internal/Mac OS Hard disk makes it hard for iMovie to work as intended.
Down to 1.3 GB and it doesn’t work - especially audio don’t migrate over to Media Browser
(iM’08 & 09)
3. Material in iMovie’08 & 09 - Shared to Media Browser and here selected as Large
large.m4v. It silenced out this project in iDVD. By making a slight alteration - provocing it to ask for a new Share/Publish to Media Browser and here selecting 640x480 - and audio was back when a new iDVD project was created including this movie.

Had the same problem; some Googling around gave me a kludgy, but effective fix
Downgrade Perian from recent versions back to version 1.0.
That worked for me, and so far I haven't encountered any deficiencies—except it takes more advanced versions of Perian to enable QuickTime to handle subtitles in .srt format—that I have noticed.
7. GarageBand fix.
In this set audio to 44.1 kHz (Klaus1 suggestion)
(if this don’t work try 48 kHz - me guessing)
Before burning the DVD.
• Do a DiskImage (File menu and down)
• Double click on the .img file
• Test it with Apple DVD-player
If it’s OK then make Your DVD.
Burn at x1 speed.... (or x4)
• In iDVD 08 - or - 09
• Burn from DiskImage with Apple’s Disk Utilities application
• OR burn with Roxio Toast™ if You got it

Music cuts in and out when streaming from ipad to airport
After spending 45 minutes on the phone with airport tech support, this is what I was told to do:
Change the channel to either 9 or 4 in the airport utility or router settings.
Now music cuts out less often, but it didn't completely resolve the problem. I tried both channels. Does anyone have any other ideas?Hi and welcome....
Try selecting Automatic instead of a particular channel in the Airport Utility.
If that doesn't help, on your iPad tap Settings in the Home screen then tap General / Reset / Reset Network Settings.
Resetting to factory settings may help.

Music cuts in and out using Airport Express
This has been happening for the longest time, and driving me crazy and I just haven't gotten around to doing anything about it other than get ****** at Apple..which doesn't really help...maybe it's not even Apple's fault!
Basically, I stream music to two different Airport Expresses, either from my iPhone, my laptop, or my desktop...and the music cuts out sporadically... It also seems to get a lot worse in the evenings...to the point where it cuts out about once every minute or two for at least a few seconds....making me think there might be some kind of interference going on.
But I don't know much about networking... Does anyone have any idea what I can try to resolve this problem?

Audio cut out and midi miss sync
Lately I have been getting audio cut out, and the missing, 'error while trying to sync audio and midi'.
I thought it was that I had too many instances of virtual instruments. So I mixed the song down. Imported that into a NEW song, with only one audio track, and then proceeded to try to do an organ overdub...Well Logic still drops out and gives me the message, even though there is NO midi information in this file...
Then I noticed that even AIF or mp3 files, didn't play properly from the desktop preview mode. They stop too. Activity monitor doesn't seem to be showing anything overworking..

Anyone have any ideas to try?I'm using a motu828. I disconnected the firewire connection, and ran audio from the headphone jack to the motu, and VOILA, no problems... Last year, I went thru two motu units, not really sure if they are the issue.
I think it might be LOGIC's firewire circuitry. Apple techs couldn't find the issue, I had the G5 motherboard replaced. Another factor was I had 3 Lacie firewire drives (2 firewire 800, 1 400) I have had 4 Lacie drives die on me in the last 3 years. They are the only firewire drives I have, so I don't know if the fault lies with them, or the again Apples firewire circuitry, stressing the drives out???
I also put a firewire 800 card in my system.
I have now switched to an external ESATA raid setup. No more firewire drives. So far so good. Since I had the whole motherboard replaced, I don't know what that means in terms of MOTU connected via firewire..
For now, I'm running audio out of headphone jack, using all virtual instruments, so I know it will sound better when I get firewire audio up and running, but I got tired of it cutting out every 3 - 30 minutes. I'm thinking about the apogee duet unit. But again if it's connected via firewire, I don't know where that leaves me..
My G5 is three and half years old, perhaps it's tired and wants to be retired....
The dark part of me wonders, if Apple computers don't start crapping out after three years of heavy use, or is it that technology, software, updates, push the hardware beyond it's capacity after a few years. -
After recent upgrade to Yosemite on Macbook air bluetooth audio cuts out and associated video stops with audio. Likewise with airplay and Apple TV. I have deleted all my saved wifi connections and restarted numerous times. I do not expect a resolution from the community, but hope to get the attention of Apple engineers. If you are having same problems or have a miracle cure I am all ears.
May start my own thread, but I'm having similar issues.
I've been using an old iMac (running 10.7.5) and Apple TV for years with no issues. Last week I bought a new Macbook Pro running Yosemite and have had audio issues multiple times. The weird thing is that sometimes it works flawlessly, other times (like now) I spend half an hour just trying to get a song to play.
My issues are: When I got to "computers" in Apple TV to stream my music, my music is sometimes chopper or intermittent, and I seen to know when it's going to happen based on the status wheel just before it plays. When I choose a song, the status wheel will spin for an unusually long time, usually an indicator that the audio is either not going to work, or stutter.
When it does finally pull up a song, the playhead sits at the beginning of the song for a good 3-5 seconds before actually playing. Then, when it starts playing, it's all downhill. It will play a few seconds, drop out, play a few more seconds, drop out, and then ultimately the playhead will keep moving across the song as if it's playing, but there's no audio.
Again, this is a new phenomenon never experienced by me. I've tried everything I could think of, some of them all at once:
• restart Apple TV
• restart Macbook Pro
• quite iTunes/open
• turn off Home Sharing on iTunes then reconnect it
• unplugging and cycling both my modem and router
None of these have alleviated the problem.
The odd thing is, like this morning, the audio started up perfectly and never gave me any issues. It wasn't until later in the day that it started. Perhaps after the macbook pro had been put to sleep? Not sure.
Regardless, this is an annoying trait, one that's new to me and my system (as stated, worked flawlessly until my new purchase), and is 100% limited to either a) the macbook pro b) Yosemite or c) both of them. -
Streaming music cuts out when downloading
I have an old Airport Express (802.11g). When streaming music from my MacBook Pro, the music cuts out when I start my downloads (usually when the download speed reaches 0.5mb/s or above on Bittorrent/Unison). Two questions:
1) Is this a bug or just due to the limitation of the device?
2) I am planning on purchasing the new Apple TV to stream videos from my MacBook to my TV. Would my current Airport Express handle this (i.e. downloading and streaming videos to Apple TV) or do I need to upgrade my Airport Express to the latest 802.11n?

-AMost probably Premiere Elements is causing the rotation you are experiencing
That is because the recent versions of Premiere Elements do not recognize the rotation indicator set in a photo file. However the Photoshop Elements Organizer does recognize a photo orientation indicator set within the photo file when displaying thumbnails and displaying the photo file.
At this point for this slide show,
it might be simplest to initiate an edit in Photoshop Elements of each of the portrait orinetation photo files that are in this slide show -- so that the pixels within the photo file itself can be rotated and saved as a new photo file. .
In the future,
-- it would probably be simpler to multiple select thumbnails in the Organizer and rotate those photo thumbnails (once 90 degrees and then a second time back in the opposite direction 90 degrees).
-- most cameras that set rotation indicators in a photo file also have an option not to set that indicator which then usually results in portrait orientation photos displaying sideways in the Elements Organizer until you rotate them yourself. (to me this is a second choice approach but it is a possibility) -
Music cuts out at the start of every clip.
Hello I really need some help with Adobe Premiere Elements 8. Ive made one project and I go to add music to it and once it loads and everything is fine i press play and right at the start or very close to the start of every new video clip, the music cuts out, I pause and play the project and it works again! Untill you run into another clip and then it cuts out! Very frustrating, ive been using elements for a while now and I cannot figgure out what it is. Please Help!!

I converted the audio files to the .wav that you suggested. And no change, a bit more of an update with the problem; I find if at the start of every clip it cuts out, I am able to rewind a bit and wait for it to reload, and it works fine, but on initial playback it cannot. Also with a different movie I made it worked fine because the clips I used for it were all running at 100% playback speed. The ones I am having the trouble with are running at maximum speed (10,000%). I was also informed that I should tell you I am using a laptop, and therefor I have only one HDD if I am correct, (not very computer literate) and its a 250 GB, with 4GB of RAM. Running with about 60 GB of free space. I tried to look in control panel for the other information you requested and was unsuccesful. Maybe let me know where to find it and I can let you know.. And in the end I am assuming that Premiere is glitching out because of this small computer..........

Music cuts out after a few seconds or goes straight back to menu since I downloaded iTunes 11. Never had this problem since I bought apple tv 2 years ago.
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel. -
I am working on a piece, 210 seconds long, based on a song. When exporting the finished show the music cuts out at the same point all the time. The song was downloaded from Itunes store, am I missing something....

SteveI think you may be running into limitations due to a lack of RAM. Motion loads everything into memory and you've got 210 seconds x 30fps x 1 MB per frame = 6300 MB or 6.3 GB. You appear to have less ram than that...
And you didn't say which version of Motion you are using. If 1.0, that would explain a lot - Motion's handling of audio has improved quite a bit in 2.0
What I would do is to export the video, then marry the video and audio in QuickTime. Load each into a player, create a new player, click on video, select all, copy, click on new player, paste, position to beginning of new player, click on audio, select all, copy, click on new player, under the edit menu, select "Add", save your new player.

Music cutting out using wireless external speakers
i've been having problems with the music cutting out while playing. i have itunes 9.2.1 and have it set up wirelessly to external speakers. it doesn't cut out when playing on computer speakers. is this a speaker or wireless or itunes problem?
Could not agree more... thought it was the appletv, then my rarely used airport express, then started changing/upgrading wireless routers in the house. Have the latest stuff but, cannot stream from my laptop without it cutting out (streaming to a "wired" appleTV, no less).
Every once in a while, I'll get a combination that's just right and it will work, then after about 10 mins, starts the drops. I've changed stream settings, wireless router settings, everything I can find on the Inet as a possible suggestion. I concur it's got to be a iTunes software issue. -
FMS Streaming Cuts Out and VOD restarts
I just purchased and installed FMS for my music streaming service. I got the streaming set up fine so that it streams mp3s using the VOD application, but quite regularly the stream will just cut out and the VOD application in the administration section will just disappear and restart with 0 clients. It doesn't even happen when I have that many connected clients, at times it's happened with just 15 users, and i've had Red5 running over 200 clients at a time. Does anyone know what the problem could be? This is a real pain as I have to monitor the server all the time!

The connection rejected line repeats for a while until I start the VOD application manually. There don't seem to be any other error messages in other logs. -

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.
