My music does not sync with my iPhone

I just recently bought my first iDevice and i cant sync all of the music i previously had. I added a test video and a song to my library (Options > Add to Library), connected my device (iPhone 4) and selected Sync with iPhone but i cant see any of the media on the iPhone itself, tough it is on iTunes. Thanks

Hello,
Have you look at this page, I think that you have not select any music.
Setting up syncing
Before setting up syncing, download and install the latest version of iTunes. Wi-Fi syncing requires iTunes 10.5 or later and iOS 5 or later. You can change your sync options at any time. Each time you sync, content is synced between your iOS device and computer to reflect new, updated, or deleted content. If the iOS device does not appear in the Devices section or if you are unable to sync, please see this article for troubleshooting.

My icloud account does not sync with my iphone 4S. My contacts do not turn up on icloud and I do have "contacts" turned on in my phone.

Unchecking them won't help, it will only hide them from view.  The issue you're running into is that iCloud doesn't sync contacts from non-iCloud accounts like your exchange and Yahoo accounts.  In order to sync these with iCloud, you would need to copy them to the iCloud account and then disable contact syncing with these other accounts.  (If you didn't disable contacts syncing with these accounts, you would see duplicates of these contacts on your phone -- one from the external account, and one from iCloud.)  If you want to do this, do the following:
Go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts to Off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (any iCloud contacts will still be in iCloud).
Download the app My Contacts Backup.  (If you have more than 500 contacts to transfer from your other accounts you will need the “Pro” version.)  Use the app to back up the remaining contacts on your phone (from the other accounts) as a vCard attachment to an email that you send to yourself.  Confirm that you have received the email before proceeding to step 3.
Go to Settings>iCloud and turn Contacts back to On.
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Contacts section), and confirm that this is set to iCloud.
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars…tap your Yahoo and your exchange account and turn off contacts syncing with these accounts.  This will remove the contacts from these accounts from your phone.
Open the My Contacts Backup email and tap the attachment to import the contacts from these accounts back to your phone, and to iCloud.  All your contacts should now be in iCloud and be visible on icloud.com.

Since installing mavericks, my computer calendar does not sync with my iPhone and iPad calendars.  My iPhone and iPad are synced however.  What can I do to make all of my mac devices sync

You don't sync the MM calendar anymore, you subscribe to it in iCal,
    iCal>Preferences>Accounts, enter the details here.
MM should be the default calendar on all clients.

  • Why iCloud on my mac does not sync with my iPhone

    Hey Guys/Gals
How come my mac does not sync with my iOS device.... When I send messages from my messages app on my mac it shows on my iPhone aswel... When someone trying to facetime me it will ring both my facetime on my mac and iPhone... Since this morning after the iCloud ****** up... My devices aren't syncing... Need  help...

I believe this was stopped in a recent iTunes update to "force" users to sync the calendar on the Mac and the iDevice to iCloud.

  • My iCal does not sync with my iphone . help.  it worked fine in mobleme

My iCal does not sync between my iMac and iPhone consistantly.  It worked fine with mobleme.   Any solutions?

Make sure that your Mac is subscribed to iCloud and is logged on to the calendar, there is no 'sync' in iCloud, whatever MM did is irrelevant.

  • My iCal does not sync with my iPhone

I use to be able to get up to date info on both my iPhone and iCal at simultaneously, but now for some reason my iPhone does not get any changes I make in iCal. Help!

I had been reading this thread and many other iPhone and iCal sync problem threads to try to solve my issue. My issue was similar to the OP in that my calendar events on my iPhone were not being sync'd to iCal and also that events created in iCal were not being sync'd to the iPhone. Here's what I tried that didn't work
Backed up iCal, deleted all my calendars, created a fake placeholder calendar and then re-imported/restored my iCal data
    Reset "Sync History" using iSync
Some forum poster had said something about how their problem had resolved after they had deleted all (some?) of their subscribed calendars in the iCal sidebar. Well, I had only one subscription calendar and that was a "US Holiday" calendar that I subscribed to almost 2 years ago. Was it through iCalx? I don't recall where I got the URL, but it was something from the Web. In any event, I deleted the susbscribed calendar and tried re-syncing and everything was transferred (phone to calendar and calendar to phone). Also this is only my theory since I also changed one other setting in iTunes. It was the "Don't Sync Events That Are Older Than" setting in iTunes. I changed this setting from "120 days" (an arbitrary number I had created) to another poster's suggestion about making it "10 days." Anyway, I hope this helps someone! I'm so thankful everything's working again.

  • Address Book Associates Field does not sync with iPhone

Apple went to the trouble of getting custom field names in the Mac OS Address Book to synchronize with the iPhone (which is wonderful), but they left one field 'unsyncable'; the associates field. If you list a contact's manager name, spouse name, child name, etc. in Address Book, it does not sync with the iPhone (OS 3.0.1) 'Phone' application. This is very useful (and embarrasment-preventing) when needing to remember the name of a contact's manager, wife, child, etc. Does anyone have any idea why Apple left this out of the sync? Certainly it couldn't have to do with saving memory...

Oh yes! i have this same problem - i have tried emailing Apple Customer Support but they were unable to help me. They advised me to speak to technical or raise the issue on the Apple Support board (but someone already has!)
so if someone can help us both out here with how to sync additional field information added on Address Book on Mac to then sync all this additional information to iPhone, we would be greatly appreciative!!Thanks,
    Mark

  • The calendar on the imac is not syncing with the iphone?

The calendar on my macpro, operating system OS X 10.6.8,  does not sync with the iphone?  When I look up on the info tab in itunes, the calendar is checked to sync

Completely by serendipity I just fixed this!
I was perplexed as to why all my events showed in iCal on my computer, but only some events would show in iCal on my iphone.
All day events were not showing, appointments weren't showing and neither was work, but social events were, no matter how many times i tried to sync my iphone with my MacBook Pro. Hmmm strange.
So I only just figured it out accidentally when on iCal on my iphone that if i click the 'calendars' tab in the top left hand corner, it takes me to a list of all my created calendars (and their colours) that I have in iCal.
If you tap on a certain calendar it will display only those events. Eg. I tapped on my calendar 'appointments >', and iCal only displayed all of my appointment times on my iphone and not the other events.
If I tap on 'work >', it displays all work events. Etc.
    Is this making sense??
    NOW:
If you go back to the 'calendars' tab on iCal on the iphone and tap on 'All >'...
    then
Hooray!!! All your events will be displayed.
    Hopefully! :P
    Hope this helps!!

my iphone does not sync with itunes on my second authorized computer, please help. i changed the first authorized computer in May 2012 and have been using the second authorized computer since then but it cannot sync - please help!!

"I was thinking I would just connect my iPhone and all of my music and other stuff would transfer to the new computer. "
Not true. The music and pic sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
You really should transfer everything from the old computer, or your backup copy of your computer. Since you do not have access to the old computer, then use your backup copy of the old computer.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy of your computer ( not good), then you would have to transfer itunes purchased as described earlier. Any other itunes content would be lost.
You can e-mail photo library pics to yourself, but they will not be of the original quality.
Before syncing, enter at least one unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. When you first sync, then you should get the option to merge the data.

  • ICal on my iPhone does not sync with my Mac or iPad.  I am using the cloud.

My iCal calendar on my iPhone does not sync with my Mac or iPad.  I am on the cloud and every
thing else is syncing.  I've looked at preferences and everything looks right...

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.
