my i pod touch is playing music but everything else work, what can I do too fix it?

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the track from the Music app on your iPad and redownload it via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app (or via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes).

Music shaded grey and won't play

some of my music in my library is shaded light grey and won't play. i have tried deleting and redownlaoding but nothing seems to change it from being shaded grey to being bold and able to be played - frustrated and please help

I bought an iPhone 5 and could not add music to it. Same problem: grey songs. After hours searching forums and blogs I found this solution. Works for me! Now I manually add songs using iTunes and no problem. Hope it helps.
1. Download and install iExplorer http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/
2. Plug in device first, then open iExplorer
3. Delete the iPhone\Media\iTunes_Control folder (you may want to copy this, just in case)
4. Restart the iPhone / iPad
5. Start iTunes. Not restore iPhone from back up, select New iPhone (don't worry, you will not lost apps or data on your iPhone doing this)
6. Add music manually with iTunes

Sequence is stuck and won't play

This has always been a bug that has been in CC, where the timeline will be stuck for a few seconds, and you could wait it out. But now the sequences entirely refuse to play. The play button turns to a stop button for a brief moment, and nothing happens. Ive quit, restarted. Nothing.
These are projects and timelines I have successfully been working in.

I've found my fix for this:
I needed to download the latest CUDA driver from NVIDIA:
CUDA Drivers for MAC Archive | NVIDIA
After doing this, I went into a project and then File>Project Settings>General...
When the 'Project Settings' window came up, I went to the drop-down menu under 'Video Rendering and Playback' and selected 'Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA)', as opposed to '(OpenCL)'.
Problem solved!

Rented Episode on Itunes is stuck and won't play

So I recently rented an episode of Glee on iTunes and decided to watch it around half an hour ago until it was stuck mid-episode. I tried closing iTunes but its still stuck on the same scene. I rewinded it then forwarded it and still, the same case. I'm very unhappy with this as the service Apple provides is supposed to be "reliable".

Restart your computer and everything ought to be returned to a watchable state.

My iPhone keeps playing same song and won't play next one

My new IPhone 4 keeps playing the same song and won't play the next one! I have reinstalled the software and reset it, but still no luck.

See Page 77 of the User's Guide. Make sure you do not have it set to repeat that specific song.

I updated my iPhone and now none of the music on it will play. When I sync, I can change teh music selections on it, but they all won't play and are greyed out. Only the Playlists, Artists, Albums are black font, but all songs are grey and won't play

I recently updated my iPhone 3G to 5.0 (9A334) and it was somehow interrupted during restoration, or at least that is what it tells me. But it keeps making a new restore and adding it to a list, but never gets through without getting interrupted. anyways, I kind of got through all that, but now all the music on the iPhone won't play and is greyed out. I had some APPs greyed out, but they are not as important. Music is a huge investment in my life and this part of it has gone silent. I SYNC with my iMac. Resyncing doesn't help. I can change the selections, but can never get them to play on the iPhone.

If there is not enough RAM, OS X temporarily stores RAM data on the harddrive and tries to retrieve it back into RAM when needed, unfortunately that is so slow that GB throws an error as it cannot play it all in real time.

Well, I hadn't rebooted after the 7.1.1 upgrade, but obviously I had to restart iTunes. After I rebooted my iBook iTunes worked... Maybe the 7.1.1 update should be marked with a must reboot?

Since the IOS 5.0 update my iPad 2 and iPod touch (3e generation) won't play the music I choose. I choose a song from Michael Jackson for example and it's going to play something completely different. The images has changed aswel, so it is a bit strange.
I treind to sincronise them again, but this doesn't change a thing. Has anyone any idea what could be the problem and how to solve it?

So just in case anyone else ever runs into this...
I solved the issue and it was that between the plug of the new earbuds being slightly thicker than the Apple earpods, and the width of the case that I was using for my iPod, there wasn't a connection being made to activate the remote function.
I took off the case and now the earbuds work exactly as they should!

One song shows up in shaded and won't play

I have a new ipad. All my music is playing fine except one song that is shaded a light grey and won't play. I bought it on itunes for my ipod. The other song from that album plays fine. It plays fine on the ipod and on my computer itunes.
