    Thanks a lot

Go to the iTunes Store and select "Purchased" from the Quick Links side bar on the right. Go through all the tabs to download again for free

  • My music is't in my library anymore

I recetnly downloaded the newest version of itunes and now my library isn't there anymore. How do I get my music back???

b Recover your ‘Lost’ Library from an Upgrade of iTunes
First, make sure that you still have your music
    i files
on the computer. Look where they are usually stored: in the ..\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\ folder. If they are not there, then find where they are on the computer. If they are not anywhere on the computer, then this will not work.
Second, make sure that iTunes is correctly looking in the right Folder for your song files.
--- Be certain that you know the current location of your music files (best to confirm this)
--- In iTunes choose: Edit==>Preferences==>Advanced tab
--- Select 'Change' and browse to the music folder in your PC drive (if it isn’t already)
--- Click OK to save that setting
--- If a dialog box pops up asking if you want iTunes to rename the files, click "yes"
If this simple process above did not re-orient iTunes, then proceed on to the following:
See this Article for some background information: What are the iTunes Library files? It is important to note that there is a new naming convention for the iTunes .ITL database file when moving from version 4.8 to 4.9 or higher. The file names are consistent from 4.9 to 5.0.
This Article is useful: No music shows up in iTunes after upgrading
Follow the directions to locate the previous Library file and replace the current one.
If you are lucky, the old Library file will have all your original music data in it (playlists, ratings, counts, etc.). It will not have any music information you created/changed after upgrading to 4.9 (if you did any changing).

  • IPod Nano 4th gen music isn't in iTunes library

When I plug my ipod in, it says it's syncing, but none of the music on my iPod is in my library.
And if I sync, it wipes all the music off my ipod. I have 300 songs, I would prefer not to have to redownload the songs.
    Thanks!

If none of the 5 R's help, that indicates a hardware issue with your device, meaning you'll need to have it serviced or replaced.  Some users with the same issue were able to clean the scroll wheel and repeatedly work through these 5 R's to revive the scrolling functionality of the clickwheel.

You can choose to have it replaced by Apple for a flat fee or send it to a third party repair company.

  • I have a new computer. How can I save my music from my IPod to the new computer since it isn't in my Library. I don't want to sync and lose music.

Then you will need to search for a 3rd party program to transfer content
    Pasted from another thread
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2234756?start=0&tstart=0
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Other free programs are Pod Player, SharePod and Floola and iDump andiPodRobot.
If you want to recover just the structure of playlists from the iPod (and not the actual song files themselves), there's iRepo for Windows. which I understand has this feature along with all the standard features for these programs.
iPodRip also has the feature enabling you to reconstruct playlists.
There is also CopyTrans. This does preserve ratings/playcounts etc if those are important to you but this program is not free. It also supports video transfer.

  • I recently installed iTunes 4.3 and can't drag and drop music into my 'music library' anymore?

I recently installed iTunes 4.3.5 and can't drag and drop music into my 'music library' anymore. Every time I try to drag the music from a folder into the library, that little circle with the line thru it comes up (not allowed symbol). I've been using iTunes for years and am pretty computer savvy... I have no idea what the problem is. The only way I can add music right now is if I go to File>Add File to Library and that takes way too long, especially when adding 20-30 songs. I am using Windows 7 and I have an iPhone 4. Please help! This is extremely frustrating.

No, sorry... you did not.  There is no iTunes 4.3.5.
What did you actually install?  iOS 4.3.5 on your iPhone?  If so, this has NO affect on the ability to manually manage media via iTunes.
Let's start over... tell us exactly what has been done.

  • I click on one song and another one starts playing.  Cover art for one artist shows up on another album.  All of my music isn't showing up.  Please help.  Why is this happening?  How can I fix it?

Sorry for not getting back with you...
That moves only the iTunes media, not the iTunes library (which is really kinda nebulous).
iTunes library = iTunes folder and all the media, wherever it is located.
The /Music/iTunes/ folder contains the iTunes library.itl file, which keeps track of everything in iTunes.
I do however still have the original MAIN startup drive still in the computer, it's just not the startup.
This is good you still have it.
    Try this...
    Hold Option and launch iTunes.
Select Choose library... and select the /iTunes/ folder on the original drive. It should be in /Users/your_user_name/Music/.
Don't mess with anything. We can get it cleared up.
    Does everything work okay?

    Many thanks lllaass,
The Touch Copy third party software for PC's is the way to go it seems and although the demo is free, if you have over 100 songs then it costs £15 to buy the software which seems not a lot to pay for peace of mind. and restoring your iTunes library back to how it was.

  • HT201593 The newest version of iTunes deletes all of my iPod Touch 5th gen audible and visual media when I delete or add music or video to my library and add it to my device manually. Why?

The newest version of iTunes deletes all of my iPod Touch 5th gen audible and visual media when I delete or add music or video to my library and add it to my device manually. Why? I guess the question speaks for itself. I have the latest version of iTunes and iOS 8.2 on my iPod Touch.

If it's any consolation i've just had a similar thing happen. Went to add a playlist and it wiped 35 gig of music off my iPod touch 64g in a nanosecond. I've got the latest iTunes and osx but do not back up because i keep different styles of music (and loads of it) in separate libraries and devices which i don't want mixed together. All my stuff is burned from cd so it's not lost for good and i've got a hard drive with the "lost" mp3 music on it but even so it will take literally weeks to prune the tracks for my iPod to be the same again. Why do they make it so difficult to manage your music on these things. I have massive amounts of music on my computer so autofill is a disastrous unusable gimmick to me. The whole thing seems to be aimed at 9 year old kids with about 6 mp3's on their phone rather than serious music lovers (for example accessing EQ is a joke let alone the lack of a manual option). I'm a dj and use apple for that reason but to be honest i'm beginning to wonder why. I'm absolutely livid. The weird thing is that my mac still shows the titles of the missing tunes in the 'on my device' window but as my macbook storage display shows no increase i'm pretty sure it's all gone. Nightmare. I have no confidence in this device anymore and could barely use the previous osx 8.2 anyway. Why they have to change it every ten minutes is beyond me. As the old saying goes 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' but this format just gets more broken every time they update. An absolute disgrace. Why not just drag and drop or delete. No wonder the iPod is said to be a dying device, it's for music, it is not a phone. Not fit for purpose anymore. I can't be bothered to read a massive 'how to use' article every update. Good technology should be easier and more intuitive with each new version. I suppose i'll have to phone apple at my expense to find out what's going on, or maybe that's the whole idea. Very very very not happy.

  • Why isn't my iTunes Library showing up on my iMac?

I updated my iTunes version and now my iTunes library is not showing up on my iMac even when i plug in a device, etc.

Why isn't my iTunes library showing up on the cloud?
How are you trying to access your Music in the cloud?
Have you signed up for iTunes match and let it upload your library? Are you signed in, when you are trying to download from the cloud?

  • How do you delete old music that it don't want anymore for the iOS 7 update. It gave me all the music I deleted in the past.

How do you delete old music that it don't want anymore for the iOS 7 update. It gave me all the music I deleted in the past. I tried going to settings and turning off music from the past and it got rid of my music I recently purchased.

    Hello there, Syd_ma22.
The answer to how to delete a song on your phone in iOS7 is found on page 62 of the iPhone User's Manual:
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1565/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf
    Specifically:
Remove a song from iPhone. Tap Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,

  • Purchsed music not showing up in Library or created playlist

I purchased music last night and successfully transfered the music to my iPod. Now I would like to listen to the music from my computer. However the files are not showing in my iTunes playlist or library. I can find all of the titles, in my Music folder (running Windows XP) but the titles are just shown as individual folders, without the music file for play. Problem - why isn't my purchased music shown in my iTunes library available for play today?

Close iTunes, delete the hidden file called sentinel from the iTunes folder where your library files are stored and then restart. This should force iTunes to run an integrity check on the database which ought to resolve the problem.
