My music isn't working

My music is there but when I tap on it it won't start playing

Shut down the app
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon until they wiggle
- Press the red to delete the Music app from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done.
- Restart Music
If still a problem, try a reset... press the home and sleep/lock buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

    Try:
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

  • Music app not working at all

    Hi,
A little back story as of how this happened, I recently upgraded my iPhone 4S to iOS8 and found out that it was rather laggy on this outdated device, thus, i decided to downgrade back to iOS7.1.2 using a IPSW restore. Thereafter, my apps, contacts, remotely everything was gone when my device booted up from the restoration. I manually downloaded my apps back, iCloud seemed to get my contacts back, but whenever i open my music app, it's always at the album tab and when i attempt to access the 'songs' tab, it just crashes automatically. Tried hard resetting the phone, restarting and what not, it all did not work at all. Also, it is notable that after my restoration back to iOS7.1.2, i could no longer sync my phone to my laptop, with errors like 'syncing cannot be finished because session cannot be finished' Everything is working fine except for the sycning issue and that my music isn't working at all.

    You restored it?
    From backup?
    Or as new?
    Try both.

  • My Music Video isn't working, and now my Ipod isn't recognized

Last night I tried to play a video that I purchased from iTunes and my Ipod froze for about a minute and then went back to the list of videos (screen). Today I tried to plug it in to my computer to see if I would experience the same thing in iTunes, and a message comes up saying that "the USB device is not recognized". I uninstalled both the iPod Software and the iTunes software, and then reinstalled them both from the apple site (for the latest versions). My iPod is still not recognized but for some reason it Now charges (nothing happened before).
I've restarted my computer a few times, and restarted the iPod serveral times also.
Other videos work fine, just not my music video (and now not my iPod).
Is there anything I can do short of erasing all my songs and re-starting from scratch?
    Please, anybody?

Does anybody at least know why my music video isn't working? I have other videos on the iPod and they work perfectly.

  • IMovie: When i put in music for the background of my clips, my clips go quieter, but then when i take the music out it goes loud. I tried to edit the music to try and make it go quiet like background music would, but it isn't working?

In iMovie on my new MacBook Pro. I'm editing a video of mine (As i make videos for YouTube), i put in the clips, then i put in background music. But when the music is there, the clips go really quiet. I'm trying to change that but it isn't working, i've edited the clips to make any other sound go quiet on the audio bar, but that hasn't worked either. I've tried to edit the music to go quiet on the audio bar, but that didn't work. Nothing is working!! It's like the music is taking over! You can barely hear the sound of the clips talking. Then after the background music has finished, if there is any clips left over, the clips go really loud!
It's geting me really annoyed, i've tried everything.
Can anybody help? Even suggestions would work!

I'd be posting in the iMovie forum for iMovie help.

  • I want to buy music but i can't remember my security questions, It says to reset it but the link is not there to reset. It says to contact ap support but I've tried both ways to contact and it says it isn't working.

I want to buy music but i can't remember my security questions, It says to reset it but the link is not there to reset. It says to contact ap support but I've tried both ways to contact and it says it isn't working.

The reset link will only show if you have a rescue email address on your account (an alternate email address is different). If you don't have one (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.
How are you trying to contact Support ? You should be able to do so via the following :
Contacting Apple about account security : Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security
Or if your country isn't on that page then use this form : https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
When they've been reset you can then add a rescue email address for potential future use : Manage your Apple ID primary, rescue, alternate, and notification email addresses
Or if it's available in your country you could change to 2-step verification : Frequently asked questions about two-step verification for Apple ID

  • My music with iTunes isn't working! HELP ME!

So I just got on the computer and opened my iTunes and I double clicked on a song and it didn't work. It said "The song --------- could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" and obviously the answers are Yes and No. And it was working perfectly fine today.
So I don't understand at all.
    What is going on?
    I need help.
And I don't know where to find the original files.
    PLEASE HELP ME!

OK! I probably am a bit hand-holdish. I'm getting this response too and I've tried changing the loaction as per instructions in iTunes help but it still isn't working.
    Please help!

  • I changed the password to my ipod but it isn't working and I don't want to restore it. Is there a way of getting rid of the pass word or un-disabling my device?????

Connect the iOS device to your computer and try to make a backup.
    iOS: How to back up
Then restore via iTunes. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
    iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • HT1267 My iPod player in my iPhone isn't working properly it will play for a few seconds then stop and also the volume level will appear then disappear what can I do to remedy this?

My iPod player within my iPhone isn't working properly when playing videos it will start then stop after a few seconds and also the sound bar appears then disappears, and when playing music no sound is coming out when I'm on a call I can hear everything properly and also on loud speaker! What can I do to remedy this? Please help!!!

If you haven't tried it yet, I'd eliminate memory issues first.  Close all of the apps with the double tap on the home button method

    then restart the device.

  • My MacBook Air keyboard isn't working, except the power button. I had the same problem over the summer and had it repaired ~4 months ago. What should I do?

The keyboard of my 11-inch MacBook Air, purchased in November 2011, isn't working at all. None of the keys respond except the power button. I'm able to restart the computer, and have done so multiple times. I've attempted SMC and PRAM resets, but they haven't worked.
I've never spilled anything on the laptop, haven't stepped on it, and haven't otherwise damaged it ever. I use the laptop very lightly. I only use it to take notes for class, browse the Internet, and watch movies. I don't download anything but PDFs, PowerPoints, images, and Word documents. I don't even have music on it. So I don't think I had any part in creating the problem.
I had this same problem with my laptop over the summer, and I took it into the Apple Store to get it repaired for $200. They told me that they didn't know the cause of the problem. I think they replaced the bottom half of my laptop entirely (receipt says there's a new "Housing, Top Case with Keyboard, US") and told me the problem was fixed. This was on June 30. The laptop keyboard stopped working again today, October 19. I called Apple Support and they told me that I would have to pay for the repair again because it's been 90 days since the last repair. I'm annoyed and upset that I have to pay $200 again to re-repair a problem that should've been properly fixed the first time. Plus, if the problem keeps happening despite multiple repairs, I can't afford to keep getting the laptop repaired over and over again due to the Apple employees' incompetence.
Does anyone have any advice on how to fix the laptop? I'm a grad student and don't have the funds to pay for another repair, and there's no way for me to get to an Apple Store without hiring a car service, so I'm trying to avoid going to the store if possible. Thank you.

Get the new keyboard at eBay and replace by yourself may be cheaper way, though you're required higher skill and well know about MacBook Air.

Sorry for not getting back with you...
That moves only the iTunes media, not the iTunes library (which is really kinda nebulous).
iTunes library = iTunes folder and all the media, wherever it is located.
The /Music/iTunes/ folder contains the iTunes library.itl file, which keeps track of everything in iTunes.
I do however still have the original MAIN startup drive still in the computer, it's just not the startup.
This is good you still have it.
    Try this...
    Hold Option and launch iTunes.
Select Choose library... and select the /iTunes/ folder on the original drive. It should be in /Users/your_user_name/Music/.
Don't mess with anything. We can get it cleared up.
    Does everything work okay?
