My music only wants to play in wifi area?

My music on my iPhone only wants to play in a wifi zone. When I leave the wifi area only half of them are lite up, the other half doesnt have color but they are there. I seriously dont know what is going on! I even try going onto itunes and syncing the songs but they dont want to sync either! Any ideas on what to do?

As explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3819, with home sharing you are stream music over your wifi network from the iTunes library you are sharing to your device. As such, as soon as you leave the wifi network the music is no longer available. You should be able to sync the music to your device with iTunes so it is available wherever you go. If it is not all in the library you sync with, you would have to use home sharing to copy it from the other library to your library prior to syncing it to your phone.

If you are referring to the speaker(s) along the bottom edge, there is one speaker, one microphone.

That's not the way wifi works.
You may see the other networks but you are not connected to them in any way.

Cannot get music I want to play with slide show

I loaded all my pictures from our vacation at Disney, then loaded 3 Disney CD's to I-tunes to play during the slideshow. I created the slideshow, that plays fine. When I try to add music, a default song I assume was already on my computer plays. I cannot get it to change from this song to the ones I want to play. I tried custom playlist, changing the source, etc and am unsuccessful. My main reason for buying a Mac was to manage photos and movies. I m not going to even begin the movie part until I figure the photo part out. Please help if you have any suggestions. Thank you. Ryan

For the Photos app you need to put the photos into different folders on your computer and then sync those folders to the iPad - you need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad in one go, as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad. There are third-party apps that you can copy photos to on the iPad which I think might allow you to do slideshows, but I havn't used any of them.

My MacBook pro won't allow me to double click to open files or select the music I want to play, how do I fix this?

When going to open a file or select a song to play in iTunes or opening links I used to be able to double click on my track pad to open files or links, now I have to tap once with two fingers to open the "right click" option on a normal mouse pad to be able to select it. How do I fix this in order to be able to just double click the track pad to open the folder or link?

I'm sorry to hear you are having this issue with your MacBook Pro. If you are having issues opening things by double clicking on them, you may want to double check to make sure the double click speed hasn't accidentally been set too high, as noted in the following article:

I updated my iPhone 4 to the iOS 6. I no longer have any ringers sounds, and neither my music nor videos will play. They are listed, but when I press the play button, nothing happens. Solutions?

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

I just bought a bomb new album by my favorite band and iTunes decided that it only wanted to play the first twenty seconds or so of every song. So, I called them, and they sent me here. The guy I talked to on the phone, Brian, was a very polite gentleman, however he didn't provide me with any of the support I needed. So if anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much! ALSO: I'm running on a Windows operating system from the legitimate dark ages of this technological era, so that may be part of the problem.

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the corrupt tracks from the music section of your iTunes library, close & then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unchecked. This seems to help with partial downloads...
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the "Report a problem" links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

What will happen if i leave the wifi area while downloading ios 7 software? the download is taking too long and i need to go somewhere

I think you can stop the download without any harm coming to your phone. But if it is actually installing and not just downloading, I would let it finish.

You can start the playlist playing in the iPod app and then switch into the Photos app and start your (non-music) slideshow - as you've found out you can currently only select a single track in the Photos app. Whether that will change in iOS 5 I don't know, but you could try leaving feedback for Apple : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

You can only use one Apple id for your iTunes match.
At present there is no way to hide selected songs.
Whilst all the music will show on you wife's iphone, she could create playlist(s) on your computer to include only her songs.

You'll need to switch off iTunes Match on the device & sync the iPod with iTunes as hopefully you've kept all your music on your PC.

I want to play my music on my Apple TV directly from my computer but when I click the airplay symbol it only brings up volume, how do I solve this?

Before this last update, I used to just click the airplay symbol and pull up whether I wanted to play my itunes through my apple tv or my computer speakers. Now, for one, there isn't even a symbol when itunes is expanded. When I collapse it to mini player, the symbol just brings up the volume. But i know apple tv is connected because i can stream to it from my tv. But I hate browsing through music on the tv cause it takes forever. How do i get it so i can just select my music from my computer and play it through my apple tv?
