My music will not sync, one song then cancels

itunes will sync apps, go through five steps then begins sync and says 'copying 1 of # " and cancels half way through first.
I already uninstalled itunes and that didn't fix thw problem... help.

you have to selet your phone in itunes, go to summary and scroll down to options unselect all the boxes except for the one that say sync with this iphone over wi fi. click apply and then sync! then you can just sync stuff from your phone straight to your computer without using the usb cable! i hope i helped!

I also have a 4G ipod touch and a similar problem. Since I updated to the ios5 software any new songs I add to my iTunes don't sync to my ipod main playlist. They show up in the 'recently added' playlist, but not in the main 'songs' section. I fixed the problem once by restoring to factory settings and rather than reinstalling from a backup, I created a new ipod name and synced everything onto my ipod as if it was new.
This worked until the next new song I added and then the same problem started all over again. If you do reinstall everything as new, you may want to take a screen shot of where all your apps are and make sure all your photos etc are saved, as everything will be from scratch. Hope this helps!

An exclamation mark means that it doesn't know where you moved the music to. To fix this, click on the exclamation point and when it asks you to browse to the location where you moved it to, use the normal commands to go up and down folders in your external drive until you find the song. Repeat as necessary.

you can connect the iPhone to your mac and import those iPhone photos and videos to iPhoto assuming you have iPhoto. You can create a folder and export all those photos to the Finder. Keep safe somewhere. Also keep the iPhoto library for safe keeping. When you restore your iPhone you can sync all those photos back to the iPhone. so you will lose nothing. Just remember when you export from iPhoto select jpeg for photos and original for videos taken with the iPhone.

If the non-syning ones play in iTunes on the coputer:
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

After updating to iOS6 my icloud music will not sync!

After updating to iOS6 my iCloud music will not synch to any device. I have looked at all possible "switches" and I've even wiped (full delete and reload via iCloud) of my iPad & iPhone. I've reloaded all music to iCloud, but still not downloading to iPad or iPhone. Some album info such as # of songs is displayed, but it cannot transfer the actual files. Can't even download iTunes purchases much less my 20K+ songs! It sees them, knows they are there, but will not download. No other internet/network problems with other devices in home. FLABERGASTED! Also some of my iPad apps refuse to reistal.

Do you have the settings to sync the ringtones automtically or manually? If manual, then you have to drag them from your ringtones list in iTunes onto your iPhone icon.

Sync Music will not sync voice memos. Why?

When I check "include voice memos" in Sync Music, and sync music, Voice Memos do not move into iTunes.
Memo is 33 minutes but that does not really seem, to me, to be an issue. A search does not find it nor is there a Voice Memo Folder created in iTunes

I didn't start this thread, but have the same question. I recently updated my iTunes and tried to sync and backup my iPhone so I can update to iOS7. Only, my music is not syncing from my iPhone to iTunes. Some of this music I have had for a couple of years and no longer have the CD for (I have teenagers...CDs damaged or missing). Out of 104 songs, only 3 are showing up. Any ideas?

Downloaded music will not sync to iphone

I downloaded an album to my itunes library..it shows up on my computer but will not sync to my phone...I've uploaded the newest version of itunes, deleted and re-added the cd to the library...hit sync several times and this particular album will not move over to my phone...

I have a couple of suggestions for you to attempt to get this album onto your iOS device. First, try to sync the album by manual syncing instead of automatic syncing:

I have tried to sync updated checked songs, playlists, and genres, from my itunes to ipad without success. I have tried over wifi and usb cable. Neither will work. What are the possible solutions? Is this an itunes or ipad problem?

I don't know how long I had this problem, but I noticed it after recent upgrades in IOS and iTunes. None of the suggestions I found online, including the ones attached to this thread, worked until I saw something about moving your iTunes Media folder to a new location on your computer. This article mentioned that older versions of iTunes used a folder called iTunes Music. I discovered that I had an iTunes Music folder in my music library that had my stuff in it as well as an iTunes Media folder that had none of it. Before following the instructions in the article--written in AppleSpeak which I do not--I thought, I wonder if I can play my music through iTunes on my PC? I clicked on a song and got a message that iTunes didn't find it but would I like iTunes to look for this on my computer? YES! And then iTunes offered to find other similar files and I said YES again. This found all my music but one album. When I clicked on a song from that, the process repeated and all my music is now playable in iTunes on my computer and has synced to my iPad Air. During the process iTunes also asked me for my Audible.com username and password and attempted to bring over my Audible books. (This was not entirely successful since I cancelled my Audible.com account when I stopped doing a lot of road travel. But the titles of books I purchased all appear to be there even if not the complete books.) BTW, iTunes does not seem to have moved my music and Audible.com books out of iTunes Music. So I will now see if there is an easy way to consolidate into the iTunes Media folder without breaking anything to avoid problems in the future.

New music will not sync to my iPhone 4, and music that was previously synced but was added to library through a CD will not play and has a red square and is grayed out.

I use iTunes on my family iMac, my iTunes, I believe, one update below the current software any my iPhone is on iOS 7.0.3. Music purchased through iTunes syncs correctly and will play properly. Songs that I have obtained through CD's, however, are now grayed out and have a red square with a circle around it. When I click on the song, it will cycle through my library until it can play a song. iTunes will also not restore songs that I have removed from my iPhone but are in the cloud. I am so relieved to hear that I am not the only one experiencing this! However, I am sorry to hear you are going through this as well. Lucky for me I am upgrading to a 5s which will be sent to me on Wednesday. Ipod music will not sync with another itunes.

I cannot sync my Ipod with a different itunes. It keeps the songs on it that I currently have but even when I check erase and sync it will not erase the previous songs to add the new ones. I have tried to do it with Windows 7 and Windows XP. It will sync Apps and photos but not music. I have itunes 11, has anyone had this problem before?

I am able to sync music to my Iphone 5 though so that maybe narrows my problems some.
