  • Music will not transfer from Mac (OSX 10.9.3) to iPhone via cloud

Music will not transfer from my Mac (OSX 10.9.3) to my iPhone except for music purchased through iTunes. Hard sync doesn't seems to work as I use iCloud. Suggestions?

Only music purchased from the iTunes store is available to download from iCloud unless you subscribe to iTunes Match.  Also, you can sync music using iTunes on you Mac even if you are using iCloud for syncing your contacts, calendars and other data.

  • Music will not transfer

My music will not transfer to ipod says it is syn to ipod but does not

Is the media selected to sync?

  • Some music will not transfer

I upgraded  from 4s to 5s. For backup and restore I used itunes on a new mac that I had never synced my 4s to before. There are songs on my 4s that will not transfer to the mac and therefore not to my 5s. Some of these are songs that had ripped from a CD on to an old computer then transferred over to my 4s if that makes a difference. How do I get those songs off my 4s and onto my 5s???

Locate these tracks in iTunes, right->click on them and choose Get Info from the menu.  When the window comes up, head over to Info tab and make sure there is no tick mark next to "part of a compilation."  Then if necessary sync the updated changes to your iPod.
You can see how your iPod is cnofigured to sync your music from under its Music configuration tab in iTunes.

  • Digital movie downloaded in itunes and plays - will not transfer to iphone 4

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  I deleted from itunes and downloaded a second time - it shows in list of movies on iphone 4
but is light grey type and no photo of DVD jacket and will not play.

Did you have your iPhone connected and selected in iTunes?
    In Music tab:
      Is Sync Music selected?
Is Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres selected?
Is the new playlist selected under Playlists?

  • IO6 upgrade, now music will not sync to iPhone 4S????

I recently upgraded my iPhone 4S to IO6.  Since then my music will no longer sync.  I have over 5,200 songs and all were on the iPhone before I upgraded. However, once I upgraded to IO6 the music disappeared off the iPhone (it's still in iTunes).  Before anyone asks:
    - The music is still in the same folder on my hard drive (same as before upgrading to IO6).
    - Yes, the box in iTunes is checked which says sync the entire music library.
The ONLY thing that has changed is that my iPhone now has IO6 on it.
Is anyone else having this problem?  And if so how did you fix it?

    I'm having the same problem!

  • Downloaded music will not sync to iphone

I downloaded an album to my itunes library..it shows up on my computer but will not sync to my phone...I've uploaded the newest version of itunes, deleted and re-added the cd to the library...hit sync several times and this particular album will not move over to my phone...

    Hey kristruss!
I have a couple of suggestions for you to attempt to get this album onto your iOS device. First, try to sync the album by manual syncing instead of automatic syncing:

    What happens when you try?
    Has it worked before?
How are your syncing? Automatically or manually?

  • New music will not sync to Iphone

I have added a bunch of new music and reorganized my playlist's on itunes but when I try to sync my iphone 4S it will sync eveything (calnders, address book) but not change or add anything from itunes.
    Itunes 11.1.3
    IOS 7.0.4

Is the content actually selected to sync?
If it is, try unchecking the sync music option and sync.  Once complete, check the sync music option and sync.

  • Music will not sync to iPhone 4s

My iPhone 4s has the most recent iOS update. When select my iPhone under devices and run a sync, the sync goes to step 5, but then stops without syncing any music to the phone even though there are songs selected in iTunes. Now there isn't any music on my phone.
I did change my Apple ID, but I've done that before without problems so I'm not sure if that is the cause. I have also authorized my Mac.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had this problem also but I found out that I had to convert my higher bit songs to 128 kbps AAC. To turn it on, go to Summary and scroll down all the way to Options and check the box on Converting it. Sync your music and it should sync it.

  • My music will not transfer on to my shuffle?, my music will not transfer on to my shuffle?

I got a new shuffle and I cant transfer the music on to the shuffle? Can anyone help me?

Download and install iTunes, if you have not already.
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/
In iTunes, if the sidebar (along left side of iTunes window) is hidden, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.  In the sidebar, the shuffle appears under DEVICES, when it is connected.
Select the shuffle in iTunes.  There is a row of buttons, starting with Summary.  Click on Music next to Summary.  This is the shuffle's Music screen, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the shuffle.
Check the box for Sync Music.  If your iTunes music library is small and fits on the shuffle, you can choose to sync Entire music library.  Otherwise, you can choose to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres.  On the lists below, checkmark the playlists, artists, albums, and/or genres that you want on the shuffle.  When you click Apply, the songs from your selection sync to the shuffle.
One convenient way to set this up is to create a new playlist in your iTunes library.  Name it "iPod Songs" (or whatever you want).  Put songs that you want on the shuffle on this playlist.  On the shuffle's Music screen in iTunes, select "iPod Songs" under Playlists (and Apply).  Going forward, to update songs on the shuffle, just update that playlist in your iTunes library (add/remove songs).  The next time you connect the shuffle (or click the Sync button), iTunes automatically syncs the same changes to the shuffle.
If you are having a more "basic" issue, such as getting the shuffle to appear in iTunes, please post back.

  • HT1473 music will not transfer

i have 500 + songs. i have previous playlists. i have made new playlists. i can not get them in the same place. or on my iphone! i cant import/export or "add file" i dont understand. my current list is pulled up in itunes under "on this iphone" okay, now my new list with my new music is just under MUSIC  in itunes. neither one crosses one another. the music thats on one list is not on the other. why cant i get them all together?! what am i missing here? sooo lost! never had this much trouble before!! thanks

    iDevices are not backup devices.
Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer.
