My music won't load!

when i try to update my nano with new music a message appears saying; ' songs cannot be updated because all of the playlists selected for updating no longer exist'.
wot does this mean? and can anyone help?

I have reinstalled Premier Elements no less than 8 times and the music will not load to the program. When I try to add music to a video I keep receiving an error message that says "Wonder and awe failed to install. Install this program from the music file." Adobe tech support can't seem to figure it out. How do I fix this? Thank you!

Thanks for the reminder to follow up - it's been a bit of an adventure!
Before even clearing the cache or doing anything, I tried it and it immediately downloaded. Perhaps being shut down for 2 weeks over the holidays helped? I know that sometimes it takes time for the files to load and become available (I had that before in PE 12 at a different location), but that wasn't the issue here - the music scores showed as available but wouldn't download (though the sound effects did).
However, things got a bit wacky after that - I will go through it all here for you:
Tthe piece I chose was "Dark Matter" under Atmospheric. This starts with a short pulsing (almost like a heartbeat) that lasts less than 3 seconds. When I placed onto the soundtrack track on my timeline, this pulsing suddenly lasted over 9 seconds before the guitar & keys come in. This was a problem because I had it timed where a logo reveals from infinity after 3 seconds. If I trimmed the music score, the pulsing would still last over 9 seconds! I tried trimming a little or triming a lot, but the result was the same. I tried clearing the cache, I also tried deleting and redownloading the music score as well as redownloading the music score and placing it on a different ausio track. All no change.
I tried all this both with "fit to video" selected and not selected - no change.
The worst part is, I was able to sort of make it work by cutting part of the pulsing and moving it to the end of the music score and deleting it - however - this did not work consitently. By that I mean I did this but wanted a little more trimmed off so cut some more, moved it and bam - right back to 9 seconds of pulsing. It also happened that I tried to redo the cutting/moving procedure and it didn't work at all - stuck at 9 seconds pulsing, but luckily I was able to undo that and keep what I had, which was close enough.
If I activated the "fit to video" function, immediately the pulsing would change back to 9 seconds. What I ended up doing was experimenting by downloading another "Dark Matter" and placing it at the end of the first. Of course, I still had 9 seconds pulsing in the 2nd Dark Matter which I didn't want and I wasn't able to trim that out. I was able to cut a piece in the middle (by splitting at two points creating an in and out point) and use that after the 1st Dark Matter - the music is way underneath the narration and I matched the beat well enough that the edit isn't noticable - and then did a manual fade out at the end of the video. However, PE13 was extremely finicky about this - at certain spots it would let me cut a piece out and use it as is, if I tried other spots it would add the pulsing back! I know that sounds crazy as things should either work or not and be able to be replicated, but I tried dozens of times with slight variations and I swear that's how it seemed.
I went back after the video was done (was under time pressure to finish) to experiment and experienced even more craziness:
I downloaded Dark Matter (before adding any video elements) and found I was able to trim it exactly how I wanted! However, if I added a video elements (in this case an image) and streteched it past then end of the music score, then clicked the score and checked "fit to video", the 9 second pulse was back and was untrimmable. I then shut donw PE13, reopened and tried something slightly different - I added Dark Matter, but no video element and happily was still able to trim, but if I stretched the music track past it's natural end, the 9 second of pulsing came back, but then I could trim it again. Interesting, right?
More experiementation - and even more interesting - I shut down & reopened and tried the same thing with a different music track, this time Bedtime Story. With Bedtime Story no trimming at all was possible, either with or with video elements added. By this I mean, if I triimed out a section at the beginning and played what was left, the music would start back at the very beginning of the piece. This didn't matter if I triimed off a little or a lot, I could leave only the last 5 seconds of the score - which sounds very different than the beginning when still attached to the whole score - but those 5 seconds on their own play the beginning of the piece. I tried all this after cleaning the cache under Edit, Preferences, Media - no change.
The last thing I could think to try: I shut down, reopened and added Dark Matter. Again I could trim the pulsing, but if I tried to trim much more (i.e. about half of the score) the 9 seconds pulsing came back. This leads me to a hypothesis: that PE 13 sees that pulsing as a separate intro - it lets me trim within that intro, but when I try to trim outside of it (in the next section) it automatically adds the full intro back. To support my hypothesis, I tried and was able to add video elements and was still able to trim within the 'intro'.
The fact that I can't do any triiming in Bedtime Story without the music resetting to the beginning leads me to believe that PE13 doesn't see this piece of music as having a separate intro.
As I said, trimming works fine in the intro of Dark Matter and happily, I found I can stretch the end of the music past the end of the video element I placed on the timeline and the trim remains how I did it with only 2 seconds of pulsing. However, if I drag the music to exactly match the end of the video element - or use the "fit to video" function, the intro is added back in full and is untrimmable. Somehow, PE13 decides that if the music is the same length as the video, even if "fit to video" is not enabled, that the music score will start from the very beginng, come hell or high water. But once I drag the music past the end of the video (even once I had it set there and the intro was added back) I can trim it again. This may explain some of the "things working and not workin" that I referenced above - I must've added enough extra music track when experimenting that It went past the end of the video and not realized that this was making a difference.
I also tried stretching Bedtime Story past the end of the video and am not able to trim it. What does happen is that if I split the video at a place where the music is quite different, it seems to switch the music around, where after the split point I get the beginning of the music score but if I go back to the beginning, it is no longer playing from the beginning, but from my edit point. Clearly, PE 13 is trying to be helpful, but is getting it's signals crossed.
I don't know why PE13 handles it this way - it would be much better to have complete control over all music tracks whether or not they have what I'm referring to as intros.
And now here comes the addendum - I've had PE13 open while writing this so I could confirm things along the way. Just now I tried placing Dark Matter again on the soundtrack track and this time, it DOES NOT play 9 seconds of pulsing, only the exact amount I hear when I preview under Audio, Music Score. I am even able to click the 'Fit to Video' function and the pulsing stays as it should at around 2.5 seconds! Exactly how it should've worked in the first place - how can this be? I wasted a lot of time. I also tried Bedtime Story again but that has not changed from what I wrote above. I don't think it's as simple a matter of Dark Matter finally loaded correctly into PE13 - I've had PE 13 open for dozens of hours already editing the video. This is very frustrating - at certain points I have felt like I'm going crazy! I could now simply delete most of this post and say 'everything is working fine' (though it's still weird with Bedtime Story), but I think it better to leave it all as an example of how things sometimes seem very unstable and fluctuate in this program. Maybe someone from Adobe reads this and provides some insight - I imagine the first thought may be "this guy doesn't know what he's doing", but having been a professionally video editor for broadcast TV in NYC for about 15 years, I'm pretty confident that I have been following very logical pathways (with much cache cleaning under Media) and have been constantly surprised that things seem to keep changing within the program.
Any thoughts (and sorry the post is so long)?

MS Organizer - music won't load on my Zen Micro Playl

Hey, I've had a reoccuring problem regarding mediasource organizer. Lately, if I load music on my Zen Micro in one of the playlists, there are times where it looks like the songs are being loaded without a problem. However, the playlist is still completely empty. If I check out the "music" section in my Micro, the music's there. And if I try to re-load the songs from on my desktop in the playlist, it still won't show up. I've never had this problem and am clueless as to how to solve it. I have Windows XP and version 3 of mediasource organizer (I tried v5 before I reformatted - I didn't like it). Any help would be appreciated!

I am still having this issue. I have attached it in various usb ports, the mediasource 5 works and reads it. I cannot use the much easier explorer. I have WMP I have SP2 all upgraded firmwares etc... If anyone knows what to do please help.

Some iTunes music won't load on new iPod

I just bought a new 20-in iMac to replace my aging 1st-gen 12-in PB G4. I sucessfully transfered all of my music from the PB to the iMac and added a new 30GB iPod. This computer is number 4 registered with my account and the iPod is also the fourth one I have linked to this account (nano for running, wife's nano, iPhone). When I go to sync my new iPod, 98% of my music syncs correctly, but then I get an error box saying "Some of the Audible files in the iTunes library were not copied to the iPod "iPod" because you are not authorized to play them on this computer."
This message is confusing because I sucessfully authorized this computer through my iTunes account and there is no way for me to figure out which songs were not transfered over and why. Can anyone give me a hand here?

Use the instructions in this article using aa or m4b as the extension; once you've found a file, play it in iTunes, making a duplicate if needed. Audible content uses a different authorization process than most of the media available from the iTunes Store.

To resolve this error, I recommend completely removing and reinstalling iTunes and all of its related components using these steps:
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

Imovie won't load my itunes music and photos from iphoto. This also does not work on my garageband for itunes music. I have tried backing my itunes media and rebuilding but it has not helped. Anyone with a solution?

Note that you have to actually run the update - where you get the window where you have the choices to "Update" or "Restore" your iPod (you'll of course want to "Update"). It sounds to me like you downloaded the updater but did not actually run it to update your iPod.

ITunes won't load the songs from purchased music CDs

When loading purchased music CDs, the CD loads but iTunes won't load the songs. Error message: "The current encoder settings for bit rate and sample rate are not valid for the file." I'm using an iMac PPC G4 with 768 MB RAM and OS 10.4.11 with iTunes 4.7.1. If I copy the songs into a folder I can push them into the iTunes library but these are huge AIFF files with no info and the machine can't (won't) transfer them into AAC files.

To what format are you trying to convert? What settings are you using? Has this just started or is this the first time trying this? I really don't know what the limitations are for iTunes 4.7. I thought I was being a luddite in sticking with 7.5....
Try an alternative ripper such as XLD or Max.

Suddenly the iTunes movie page won't load on my iPad 2 I'm running the latest update, and the music and tv shows page load but the movie page just says loading, but never does

Try this:
1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

Safari won't load myspace music

I have a brand new MacBook pro 13 inch with the latest software and firmware updates installed. The wireless router I use is the airport extreme. Whenever I go to any myspace music page the player itself will load but the music will not load or play. I've tried using firefox but that doesn't fix it either. We have another laptop that runs windows and it works just fine on it. Any ideas?

I fixed the problem by going into network settings and adding 4.2.2.1 as a DNS server. But I don't understand what this did. Where did the numbers 4.2.2.1 come from and what was the default DNS server I was using?

Can't read or write some files, internet is failing, youtube won't load, security software I tried to install was in Slovenian, not dutch or english like in my systempreferences settings, pictures and files won't preview with spacebar and are randomly corrupted, when I entered something in the Youtube searchbar (when it was still working) it send me to a site with sexadds.
I tried restart my iMac and when I was logged back in, my dock preferences were reset.
Also tried to download some security software to check my Mac for malware, but when I did, I tried several, I got a notification that said something like 'dumpfiles (don't know if this is the right translation...) damaged'.
I'm taking screenshots from all the weird notifications I get and even three quarters off the screenshots I took in the last three hours are already unreadable.
It started this morning when I tried opening a Premiere Pro file on which I worked the night before.
When I tried opening it, it said the file was damaged and could not be openend.
I tried opening it with AE or importing the file in a new project but nothing helped.
When I tried looking for autosaves, this is the really weird part, there were none.
Even though there are autosaves from my other projects, this one was completely gone.
It looked like the day before never happened on my computer.
Also when I openend Premiere all the recent projects had been wiped.
So at first I thought it was a Premiere Pro failure.
But than, later on the day, I tried loading some RAW files from my compact flash card.
This is where I would get an error (error -36) which said some data cannot be read or written.
I tried importing the files with a view different technics, from dragging to importing via Lightroom and I succeeded with Image Browser.
But when I tried moving the files to an other folder the same error occurred.
While dealing with this issue I wanted to put on some soothing music on youtube.
This is when the next weird thing occurred: youtube wasn't completely loading in Chrome. I refreshed a view times, checked the internet connection and still no difference.
When I tried in Safari it did work but when I clicked enter on the searchbar in Youtube, a page with sexadds appeared (I didn't install AdBlock in Safari...).
I read about this 'phishing' where you are redirected to a site were a possible malware installment can take place...
I don't know if it's connected to any of the problems I've been having but I just never experienced this on a mac, I have been a Mac user for 10 years now.
On top of it all, internet started working worse and worse and now it's not even working at all. I had to fill in the password over and over, normally it remembers.
Just like my system preferences, all the preferences I had with Chrome where also reset.
Also somewhere in between I got this notification: Mac OS X must restore library to run programs. Type your password to allow.
To me this is all very weird and suspicious. I have clearly no idea what's going on. Could this be another sort of trojan horse or malware?
Some background info which could be helpful for solving this mystery:
two months ago the one year old Fusion Drive in my iMac just broke out of nowhere.
I got it replaced by a qualified apple repair store.
When I got my computer back, all the files where gone.
I got on the internet without AdBlock installed yet.
A game or whatever it was, can't clearly remember, got installed by accident.
I deleted it immediately.
Only two weeks later, I couldn't log in to my account. It didn't recognize my password and username.
So I brought my mac back to the store.
Here the repair guy said it was a minor thing and he just needed to reconnect my account. He also mentioned he found a downloaded game name Sparta and it probably had something to do with the error.
I asked him; could it be a virus? He replied no way.
I don't know why I couldn't be a virus, just because it's a mac doesn't mean it cannot be done.
So today I tried installing anti virus software (such as avast- was in a weird language looked like slovenian, clamxav - was in slovenian) but I couldn't install them.
PLEASE help me! I don't know what to do anymore, I work fulltime and I need my computer, I have no time to bring it in for repair, are there other perhaps easier ways?

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

I got the iphone iOS 7.1.1 update and now my music won't play and I can't download apps. Can I fix it?

Certain web sites won't load on any browser on Macbook Pro

Starting yesterday certain web sites won't load on any browser (Safari or Chrome). These include sites like the New England Journal of Medicine, Washington Post, and English Bulldog News. I get an error message in Safari that the server took too long to respond and in Chrome I get a connection timeout error message. I updated Adobe Flash with a clean install as I was unable to update using the standard method due to connection timeout. That restored my access to YouTube video but today it takes ~2 minutes to load a YT video. Web sites are loading fine on my phone and household PCs.
Not sure if it is notable that my internet loading capacity has been very slow for some time. I worked with the internet company to increase the network speed but my computer has not seen benefit. No problems on the PCs in our house but my Macbook very frequently gets partially "kicked-off" the network as indicated by yellow lights seen next to the "internet" and "server" items in my Network Diagnostics utility.
I looked at old threads and ran EtreCheck (see results copied below) as was recommended to another user several months ago, but would appreciate any thoughts about where to go from here. I forgot to note I have also done the obvious things like computer restart, shut down, and modem reset.

IMac 17 won't load discs

Hello. Just noticed a bug with my 2-year old iMac 17. It won't load DVDs or data CDs. It just makes noise and then spits them out. Music CDs work, however. Tried a few of the tricks suggested here on this board but to no avail. I don't use the drive a lot and just noticed it. The only significant change to my machine is I upgraded Mac OS to 10.5.7. Not sure if it could be related. Any ideas?
