My music wont play in the lock screen

My Music will not play when I double click the lock screen, and I dont know what to do.

I just upgraded my Black 16 GB GSM iPhone 4 to the first official release of iOS 5 last night (about 12 hours after release) and am unable to play *MOST* of my music with Apple's built-in "Music" app. My main music collection is at home (while I'm currently at work) and my best guess, currently, without my collection to compare it to, is that I might be unable to play MP3s while AACs may be the ones that are playing fine. I will have to ammend this with better details when I get home, but I'm rather disappointed, as the majority of my music is MP3.
Anyone have any suggestions?

If you have a docking station try docking the phone. My sound came back immediately when I did this.

I'm glad to hear that they replaced your phone. Any experience I have had with Apple customer service and/or Genius bar has been extremely positive. While I have had positive outcomes from trouble with other phones in the past, they are not as quick and friendly. I had a Motorola phone and a Samsung phone go bad several years ago and warranty work through AT&T required that I wait for a replacement unit and then mail back the original unit to keep from being charged for the device. This usually meant almost a week without a phone. Nice to walk into Apple and walk out with a replacement device. Enjoy your phone.

Background wont change on the lock screen

So, while my ipod was jailbroken (1.1.3 jailbreak software, i believe. i have a first gen ipod touch, so i've had it a while), i downloaded a background changing software, obviously, as that is what all the cool kids do. And in compliance with the cool kids guidelines, i also changed the background to this certain picture. However, once the new software came out (i am up to date, currently, but i'm talking about 2.0, for now) i upgraded, and restored my ipod. It is not jailbroken anymore, but the background pictured stayed. Everytime i try to change it, it says the picture was changed, but it's the same picture when i look at it. Yes, i'm talking about the lock screen, not the black home screen background, i know you cant change that. Can anyone help with that? I've restored multiple times, etc, but it doesnt fix it

Have you looked to see if you have any other user accounts signed in on your computer? I would imagine that this could arise from that scenario. Use this article to navigate to the users section of your computer and see whether there is another user account that may be signed in:

New computer, transfered music via external hard drive, library there but music wont play, message "The song " " could not be used because the original file could not be found. Tech did everything, said call Itunes support

New Computer
transfered Itunes library via clickfree backup. New computer Tech support(Premier PC) did this, Now can not play library within Itunes. Message says "The song " song name " could not be found. Would you like to locate it? Same Tech tried different things via on line support could not fix and said call itunes support and say Itunes will not play on new computer.

I was given the option to locate the file where the song is held. If so select "locate" and direct it to the folder / file where the song is and open it. itunes then will give you the option to use this process to update all of your library. OK that as this will do it automatically instead of doing them one by one. I hope this helps.

After updating to iOS5, browsing (playing) music on the lock screen has gotten really slow, has anyone else had this problem?

As the title states, browsing music while playing it on the lock screen has really slowed down, while it used to zap to another song quite instantly it now takes about one, sometimes two seconds to do so. Did iOS 5 cause this? Will it be fixed? Any other explenations?

I rarely record automation, and when I do I never do a second pass (usually hand draw automation in) but I have had problems with Logic 7 no longer playing back automation. I've been told its fixed in Logic 8, but in the mean time here is a work around.
Select the region where the automation is (if there is no region, create one using the pencil tool and expand it to cover all automation) and go OPTIONS menu -> TRACK AUTOMATION -> "Move current track data to region data." Now everything should play back as expected. If you want to edit the data, simply select "move current region data to track data" and edit away.
For some reason, Logic 7 will sometimes stop reading track automation data, but I have yet to have it stop reading region automation. This is a bug, and according to other users, has been fixed in Logic 8. Hope this helps until we eventually upgrade

Why are the forward and backward buttons so close to the play/pause button on the lock screen?

The quickest way to control the playing of music or podcasts is on the lock screen after double tapping the button. The controls for forward, rewind and play/pause are way too close together. There seems to be no logical reason for having them so close when there is room on the screen. Is there a way of moving these buttons?

When playing YouTube in background the phone stays on and does not auto lock and if it is auto locked and you receive a text it will stay on / lit even in the lock screen

Mine and my wifes iphon 5s is having way too many problems for today's technology, when using iTunes music app from the lock screen if you press pause from the lock screen it stays the same not like before when you paused the music the play buttons would disappear but now they just stay there, and when playing YouTube videos in the background from safari and the phone is in lock screen and you receive a text the screen will stay lit until you turn it off yourself and also the same thing happens in the home screen if your playing YouTube from safari in the background the phone won't auto dim of auto lock after any amount of time it will stay on forever these problems need to be fixed, also the wifi is not working like it used to and the LTE and 3G data are slow, slower then the 3GS when ios 6 came out. Any number of things could have caused the phone to do this. If after the reset you are experiencing additional problems, the next step in the troubleshooting process is a restore from a backup. Make sure you have one before you start the restore process. If that does not improve things, then you may have to restore as a new device. Remember, restoring as a new device will delete all data off the phone. Make sure all of your pictures are imported to the computer and all other data is synced to supported applications on the computer before restoring as new. I cant press play or select the next track from the lock screen

From the lock screen I can't press play or foward music.

I have tried that and it did not fix the problem. I still have to unlock and open itunes to pause or fast forward.

Why does my music control on the lock screen not working?

When My phone is locked and I want to control my music that is playing, nothing happens. The play button is showing and the song that I am already listening to is not showing up. I can not skip forward or go back. I have powered off the phone and it is still doing the same thing. Somtimes the double click of the home button does the same thing, but it is more concerning for the lock screen control.
I just saw this issue come up with the New iOS6 download.

There is corrupted data or settings on your phone.
Try as needed:
1. Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
2. Restore iOS using iTunes, also restoring a backup
3. Restore iOS using iTunes as a new phone .
