Dear friends urgent help
After I followed instuctions of upgrating the FW of my MUVO N200 256MB from .0.02 to .20.04 and when after programs instructions of formating the memory and loading the new version completed, I disconnected the USB and tried to turn on the device with NO LUCK. The device is dead!! How can I overcome the problem?

Thank you guys! I tried to perform all the procedure for the upgrate installation and without battery inside after usb connection with pc and by pressing the on button for 0 sec while having the installation program runing, sudently got connected and regognized by the pc as empty removable disk. After that I installed all my previous files and all ok. Finally I instaled the battery and turned on.

My MuVo 2 5GB FM mp3 player has ceased to operate in what to me seems a very odd way. I'd like to see if anyone else has seen this particular malfunction.
After finishing listening to an audio book, I connected the player to my PC, navigated to the appropriate folder, deleted the book files (mp3), and downloaded some new audio files (wma this time) into the same folder. After the download was complete, I turned off the player and plugged it in to recharge. As usual, the battery state and external power icons flashed alternately, but after about 30 minutes, the display went blank. At that point I disconnected the transformer and hit to power button.
Now the strange part. The display came on showing the date and indicating a full charge, but in addition, one of the files that I had loaded earlier began to scroll, continuously, across the screen from right to left. And, both the power and menu buttons became inoperati've; that is, I could not access any of the menu options, nor could I turn the player off.
By removing and replacing the battery, I was able to access the recovery mode and move through the options. However, none of the options appeared to have any effect except the reboot. When I selected this, I was taken back to the scrolling display and the buttons once again became inoperati've. So, for now it's just a paperweight with a scrolling display.
Anyone have any ideas what has happened? Any ideas as to how to go about fixing it's I will contact Creative tech support and the reseller, but I don't know how successful I'll be in either getting it fixed or replaced.I have the same problem. My MuVo^2 has also ceased to operate with this strange problem. It simply doesn't go anywhere once I put the battery on just the way you did. Is there any solution to this problem?

I have a Muvo Slim 52 firmware ..03 that became briefly immersed in salt water. When I turn it on it plays normally but the screen is uniformly blue and nothing can be read. When I disconnect it from the computer and press the menu button the screen is normal in all respects except that it is upside down. It will remain normal indefinitely but if I power it off and try to turn it on I am back to the blue screen. I reloaded the firmware to no avail. I tried to put it in recovery mode, but it won't seem to go into it. Is there any way to fix this?
It is dry, the battery holds a charge, and as i say, it works. Older models, but not the slim, had an option to turn the display upside down and so I imagine that a salt crystal perhaps is jumpering some area on the circuit board that does this. To that end I took it apart, 2 screws, no problem and lifted out the circuit board and cleaned it with a toothbrush. No help. But there is an area beneath the LCD which appears to be soldered on where i can't get access. Perhaps the short is in there. Next plan is to get some electronics cleaner with a straw attachment and blow out under there unless someone has a better idea.

Internet Connection Became Slow after Introduction of Cisco ASA 5505 to the Network
I configured a Cisco ASA 5505 (Version Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 7.2(3)

in transparent firewall mode and inserted after Cisco 1700 router. However, the internet connection became very slow and users are compaining that they cannot load any pages.

ThanksI have re-configured the ASA 5505 yesterday and so far it's working fine. I am not sure if the problem will re-appear later on. Anyways here is my sh tech-support

My photos on iphotos just became empty boxes, bordered by white intermittent lines. If I click on a photo it comes up, but I can't see what each photo is at a glance. Any ideas how to resolve this? thanks
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the options to rebuild the thumbnails.

MuVo does not show up in "My Comput
I have an Emachines 2.92 ghz system with 024 ram running Windows XP and I <EM>do</EM> have Adminstrati've rights. I installed the software on my computer as instructed. When I rebooted and then attached the Muvo txfm to my usb port. The Muvo screen shows the moving USB icon as pictured in the instruction manual but it was NOT recognized in "My Computer".
There was something under "Control Panel" called Muvo system folder I think and when I clicked that, it said there was no dri've connected and that I should connect the dri've to the USB port. But it already was connected. I tried another USB port but the system would not recognize it from there either. It is listed in Device manager under dri'ves and there is <EM>no</EM> question mark or exclaimation mark there or anywhere in Device Mgr. but when I select the dri've to go into "Properties" the computer freezes for about 20 seconds. Then properties opens up and it says "there is no problem with this device." A window came up in my taskbar saying there was a problem with hardware installation so the device may not work properly. I disconnected all usb devices and connected the Muvo again but it doesn't show up. Then I rebooted, attached the device again but still the same problem. Then I unistalled the software and attached the device to the USB port and a window came up saying the hardware was installed and the device was now ready for use but it still is not in "MY Computer" so I am unable to access the device to do anything with it. It <EM>is</EM> in Device Mgr as "disk dri've" now. Then I deleted the device from Device Mgr and rebooted. I installed the driver update called "MStorage_PCDRV_LB__07_00_250.exe" from your website and then plugged the Muvo into the USB port again and it showed up there as Muvo TXFM but still not in My Computer listing.
I tried to install the Firmware update from your website called: "MuVoTXFM_PCFW_LF__9_0.exe" but because the Muvo doesn't show up in "MY computer" it is unable to find the device and it just hangs as it looks for the device.
OK, now I'm thinking the Muvo is a defecti've player so I plugged it into my 998 Dell computer running Windows Me. with no software installation at all and it showed up in "My Computer" in a matter of seconds. I even put a song on it from the Dell computer. So wassup?

P.S. I also did these two registry fixes allowing permissions on both (but they were already set to that anyhow) so it did not fix it:

And also I downloaded and installed the three microsoft fixes I found on one of the many posts I read on this forum for media player and something else. I cant remember what, I am just so exhausted!Connect your player and find its entry in Device Manager. Click on Remove then disconnect player. Also select Show Hidden Devices and remove any extra entries for your player.
Go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and remove the MuVo drivers, Mediasource and Media Explorer software.
Reboot PC and then re-connect player - it should be detected immediately by XP.
Another thing it might be is if you are using a front-mounted USB port on your PC - these don't always supply enough current. They allow the player to be seen but not enough to actually do anything with it.
If you choose View Devices by Connection in Device Manager with the player connected and drill down to find the entry for your player, you can look at the properties for the controller and hub that it is connected to. One of these shows the current equired and the current available.

I have tried to download the book, How Jesus became God" by Bark Ehrman. Even though IBook states download and I have the icon for the book in my library when I try to open the book I get the message, " It is formatted incrrectly, or is not a format that iBooks can open". This is even though I purchased the book through IBooks and the IOS is adequate.

One problem I had was that Windows Media Player would not recognize my muvo players. It turned out that because I was using a USB hub for the players to connect WMP was not recognizing the players. When I used a direct line to the USB port on the computer, WMP has no problem recognizing the player.
Digital License.
As a test, I bought a WMA song file from WalMart to see if its Digital Rights Management was compatible with Muvo. There was no problem with the correct elapsed time showing. I will also test a file from Napster and add its license details here.
Here is something else I noticed - the differences in
the license for the two types of WMA files:

I have been able to copy WMA with DRM audiobook files to my TX FM, but the elapsed time doesn't change with either play or fast forward. The file is from Netlibrary.com which supplies audiobooks to public libraries. The file plays, but the display stays all zeroes.
I have been sending information and getting replies and suggestions from both Netlibrary support and Creative technical support with no solution. I have the latest firmware and everything else. I have the problem on both Windows XP and Windows 2000 computers. I have downloaded several files, but none of them show elapsed time. I suspect it is something to do with the DRM, because I can play a preview file from Netlibrary - without DRM - with no problem. I've been steadily complaining to netlibrary and my local library about problems/inconveniences, itcertainly is experiencing growing pains; we're the ones getting the pain, though!

What firmware version do you have? I have .2.04 and I see that .3.03 is available for download. I've read here that there are problems with .3 with volume limiting and I'm hesitant to change. I do notice that one of the listed fixes is:
Updates the elapsed time displayed during navigation within a long recorded track
so, maybe this is the answer?

I just bought my Macbook Pro last month here in Japan, and it is working well until one time I cannot login my username and password because whenever I type my username, an Arabic-like characters appear. Then using my iphone, I searched on the internet and luckily found answer to my problem. Macbook Pro users shared their same problems, and they mentioned about "rebooting" (switch on and hold Shift). then I tried it and resolved my problem.. But when I was about to use my mac, i noticed a noisy fan and my mac became slow.(which I never experiece before eventhough I have poor connection, it still run fast). And what I hate most is it always `reload/ buffer`.. A rainbow color ball always appear and it will reamin reloading for a long time.. one time, I leave it relaoding and try to cook dinner, expecting to fnish relaoding after i cook, but it didnt change, it is still relaoding (with rainbow color ball) .. What can I do with this problem? what im doing with my Mac is purely internet, movies (no downlad, just watching free movies, but not always), and manage my own site.. I hope and expect a solution from you guy.. thank you...
Try the usual things. Reset the SMC. Reset the PRAM. Repair Disk Permissions. Clear all the caches. Check the Activity Monitor to see if any processes are hogging cpu/ram. Make sure everything is up to date. Check the temperatures with a program like Temperature Monitor or iStatPro to make sure its not overheating, and to find out what speed the fans are running at.

I am trying to finish a book in InDesign CS2 with another person. My old XP computer became unstable and I had to get a Windows 7 computer. I was able to install CS2 on the Virtual XP Machine on my Windows 7 computer, but I cannot register or activate it. Adobe no longer supports activation. Is there a way I can keep using CS2? I need to get files back and forth to my coauthor. I also have CS6. I understand that files can go form 2 to 6, but not backwards. Thanks Robert

When I process the cube manually after processing Dimension, It works fine. But when I append data into database column, It performs proactive caching, at that time it fails.

In the first if you have set Pro-Active caching to refresh every 1 minute and your query takes 2 minutes to refresh the error above can be displayed. Solution increase your refresh time or tune your Pro-Active caching query.
In connection with the above if your server is limited on available resources this can also cause the slower query response times during refresh and the message above. -
After updating my ipod touch 4th gen ios 4.1 to ios 6.1.6, browsing my music files became super slow..I lost all my music files and was even forced to download new ones..But im not happy with maneuvering my music files after the update as it takes really slow to move from one playlist to another..I wish I could downgrade it to my original ios 4 as it was much faster then in maneuvering music files. i have 2 apple ids and one is from years ago when icloud wasnt a thought but now somehow it became my primary apple id and i cant photo stream with the apple id i use. Even if im signed into my old one the photo stream doesnt automatically go to my mac. Im not exactly technology savy but id love to figure this out.
I have also noticed the same "problem". I do not fully understand the impact of using the same ID on multiple computers and devices if I want to keep them all in sync.

MuVo N200 - A whole host of probl
Not wanting to sound cocky, but I think I can answer my own problem here before you all join in, but hey, who knows, I might be wrong. I think my N200 needs returning to Creative for some serious surgery. Here's "the list":
+ When transferring files with WMP0, a random number of files on the list to be copied will complete successfully. Then, an error message such as "The Server threw an exception" appears. According to Microsoft's Web "Help", this is because an MPEG2 video file is trying to convert and won't. Somehow, I don't think this is the case.
+ If I choose not to convert the files before transfer, it's blind faith as to whether they will all copy or not. In a sync list of 80 items, the transfer will fail seven or eight times on average. No error from media player this time, it's a windows balloon tip saying "delayed write failed". I have to remove and re-connc the muvo to continue the transfer.
+ Using MediaSource, the same error as above occurs after transferring EVERY track.
+ If, by some miracle, I manage to get the songs I want onto the muvo before dying of old age, it's the a 50/50 chance that when I unplug the muvo and switch it on, it will say "file system error", switch itself off and when re-connected will be as blank as the day it left the factory.
+ Alternati'vely, it will be fine until a random amount of time later when it will switch itself off, and then when switched back on it will give the file system error.
+ If, miraculously, it has got through the day without wiping itself, when plugged back in media player will not always be able to remove old songs from the player, and will therefore declare it to be full after copying just track onto it.
Now, before you all jump up, let me just explain the following:
I have ALL the latest drivers, firmware, updates and widgets for Windows, Media Player, MediaSource, the MuVo, my USB ports, my motherboard, and every other piece of hardware just in case it's a conflict. There is nothing else I can download.
I've tried re-installing the firmware (in fact I'm having to do this on an almost daily basis).
I've tried it on a friend's computer: no change, same problems.
I've tried using a fresh install of windows with all the extra hardware stripped out of the pc, and i've tried the same system wit al the updates. Same problems.
I haven't EVER dropped the muvo, I don't li've next to a nuclear power station or on Jupiter.
I've tried using different kinds of batteries.
I've connected it in recovery mode, wiped it and started again. Repeatedly. Several times.
So, as I said at the top, I think I have a faulty muvo, b ut if anyone out there is thinking, "What a fool, he hasn't pressed the 'don't break' button!" then please, for the sake of my sahnity and rapidly receding hairline, HELP ME!

p.s. My 0 year old sound blaster 6 works flawalessly and always has. My 5 year old sound blaster li've 5. works flawlessly and nearly always has. My zen touch works flawlessly, but is a replacement for a faulty zen xtra. Which worked well, but was a replacement for a faulty jukebox zen. Which work ok, but was a replacement for a faulty jukebox 3 (which had an awesome remote control). Anyone see a pattern here?davehelps:
The "delayed write failed" message suggests to me that you have write caching enabled for the N200 within Windows. This might be causing problems. I have this disabled - a side effect of this is that I don't have to use the Safely Remove Hardware icon before disconnecting the player (as long as I'm sure it is not being written to at the time).
To disable write caching:
Open My Computer and right click on the dri've letter for your player, choosing Properties.</LI>
On the Hardware tab click on the N200 and choose Properties again.</LI>
On the Properties page choose the Policies tab and select Optimize for quick removal.</LI>

The MuVo V200 beltclip is a joke, Now I have no player. What Can I
Hello all, I'm very disappointed with the Muvo V200 Beltclip. I have had my Muvo since the 9th Jan 2005 and have been using it all the time and had no problems with it what so ever. But yesterday I had taken my player out with me. I had it connected to the beltclip as always. I had taken my headphones out of my ears when I was asking some bloke a question and did not but them back in till about 0 minutes later. When I put them back in I went to turn my player on, But I could not feel it, I look on my belt and all that was there was the dark grey clip that held the player to the belt. I still had the head phones but they must unplugged when the player fell. I retraced my steps but I had no luck finding my player.
All I have now are the Headphones and a dark grey clip, But looking at the dark grey clip there is a hole at the back, which I think something should have been there.
So as you can imagine, I'm very disappointed. What I would like to ask is, Is the loss of my player covered by the English Warranty?
Because I do believe the Beltclip had failed, letting the player fall from my belt. I done my best to find it, but as I said, to no luck.
All thats left now is the part of the clip and the headphones.

If someone did take it by ripping it off I would have known about it.
Ok as for it not disconnecting from the headphones I don't know, My headphones did not fall with it, and I did not feel it falling. What I do know is that I have lost my gig V200.
I will phone Creative first thing Monday, But what I was looking for here was someone who might have had the same thing happen with the V200 or another MP3 player, and did the Warranty cover it's
