My N78 wont connect to my contract internet but do...
Hey, I have an n78 but recently having trouble with it. About a week or so ago i was happily searching on my phones internet and now it wont connect. So bought another n78 thinking it was my old one being dodgy.. only it does the same with this one. Ive checked my sim card in another phone and works absolutely fine only the n78's im having trouble with. Any help available?

have you used settings wizard app to get the settings from your provider for text, mms, internet? or
if you have not you can go to their website also and request a text message to be send to your phone
also how old is your sim card? if it is older then two years or so it might be a good idea tryting to update it.

Help!!!I'm having the same problem. We just swapped our router when joining the ATT Uverse. It's also a 2Wire and the Kodak ESP7 will not connect to the network.
I've seen suggestions that the printer won't let go of its previous ip address. That a static address needs to be set for the printer. I'm going to try unplugging the printer and letting it discharge hopefully to factory defaults. I don't have the energy to log into my router to mess with those "DCHC" settings just yet. -
Using my wifi, i can connect to safari fine, but my apps like; twitter, youtube, facebook and other apps that require internet connecton wont connect at all, i have tried resetting my network but that has not helped, please help me!

Just place it in recovery mode again and continue. After some time the iPod will go out of recovery mode. It can also take a longtime to download the firmware needed for the restore.

Ipads wont connect to my uverse wifi but other devices will?
We just bought two of the latest IPADs. For some reason (after a storm) no apple products will connect to my home wifi network. my non apple devices will connect (Android phones and Microsoft laptops). At&t Uverse is the ISP and they are wanting $50 per machine to configure my router to accept the apple products. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I took one of the IPADs to work and it had no problem connecting to the WIFI at the office.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

What is the current connection, use speedtest.net
If on wifi try ethernet
Make sure router is up to date. DNS should be set to automatic (settings - general - network)
Go to istumbler (Mac) or netstumbler (PC) to get a report of the network, look for signal strength and noise. -
My Mac wont connect to my WiFi. It can see the network but has an "!" over the WiFi signal. My iPhone and Surface connect fine. My Mac was working fine yesterday. I've restarted the rooter, the Mac and still not luck. I've changed the WiFi channel, removed and re-added the WiFi network, but I still can't connect. Please can someone help.... thank you !
Power Cycle
Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.
Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.
Restart the computer.
Start up in Safe Mode.

Airport connected to LAN delivers internet but not networked printers
My high school has ethernet ports in the wall. If I plug my iBook straight into the wall ethernet with a cable, I can get a list of networked printers all over the school and print to them, and also get internet. If I plug my new Airport Express into the same ethernet outlet, I can get the internet from my iBook, but no printer lists. Requests to print on printers I have already used successfully via direct cable to wall ethernet return "Printer Not Found." Why should my iBook to Airport Express to LAN connection offer less than my iBook to LAN connection? I'm tired of carrying my computer to the wall every time I want to print!

iBook Mac OS X (10.4.5)Out of the box, the AX is set up as a router, which blocks access to your ethernet network (and is causing problems all along the network). You need to disable the DHCP function on the AX (use the AirPort Admin Utility) which will turn it into a wireless access point. You should create a New Profile in the AX so you can switch between the "normal" finction and the access point mode.

My Internet connection is fine but everytime I turn on the computer I get an error message about my AirPort Extreme that says. "Double NAT" can I fix this or should I not even worry.

Click the amber dot next to Status
Click the option to ignore Double NAT

Status says Airport is connected to network and internet but can't get on!
I just moved to the UK and got (cable) broadband service via Virgin Media. Thought plugging in the Airport Express would be as simple as it was in the US. The cable modem definitely works (I've plugged the ethernet straight into the computer and am online. But when I plug the ethernet from modem to airport, despite the Network status saying that "Airport is connected to [my] network. You are connected to the internet via Airport" and the "green light" is on on the Express, I can't get online at all! Can anyone help me with this?!?
I was writing a response that said I had a similar problem - and then I had a brain-wave while typing it up.
slbyum, try this: in your Airport Admin Util, configure your base-station, and turn DHCP IP address distribution OFF (deselect it under the Network tab). If your cable modem is like mine, it initially handles it's own DHCP, and then hands the IP assignment over to your service provider; the DHCP from your Airport and the DHCP from your modem are conflicting with each other - solution, move the Airport out of the way, and only let it handle the wireless side of things.
As an additional note - I suspect you won't be able to share your wireless connection with more than one computer this way - I don't know for sure, 'cause I'm not set up to try it with multiple computers (i.e. I can only afford one computer at a time!).

My MacBook pro connects perfectly to the Internet but it doesn't work?
I'm connected to my wireless network perfectly, but the Internet is not working with firefox, safari or chrome. I tried pinging google.com and the response was 4 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss
This leads me to believe that it's a problem with the network ratherthan with my computer, but I'm not particularly computer savvy so I have no idea reallyOk, I have no idea what's up with it. My roomate's computer and my iphone work perfectly with the network's wifi but mine doesn't work at all. It works with the ethernet but the wifi doesn't. Any ideas at all?
I don't think it's a problem with my airport since it works perfectly everywhere else. -
I have already cleared the content and settings from the phone twice and tried to start completely from scratch.
I also already tried backing up the phone onto my computer then restoring then using the computer back up via USB connection.
In addition, my phone displays as almost full (its an 8G) yet I have 4 songs (8.2MB), no books, 48 apps (1.98GB) - which seems like a lot of space used for apps, 96 photos (84.6MB), Documents&Data (917MB) and that's it! It just has a huge section that displays as "other" (1.62 GB) then 780.2 free.
I'm OBVIOUSLY not a tech person, but it seems like having some apps and 4 songs and 90 photos shouldn't mean your phone is so full I had to erase all the content just to do the software update for it to allow me to back it up! What is the issue there? Those numbers don't seem like they add up to anything near 8GB, but again I'm sure I'm missing something.
Any help is appreciated. My other phone was exactly the same one and I had no such problems so perhaps this one is just faulty?Error 3 or 1669
