My N79 can't display arabic character

hi guys, can you all help me how to make Arabic character/fonts can be display on my N79 instead of boxes character. I already update the firmware to 30.019.53.1 but still cannot display Arabic fonts.
What should I do? Am I missing something?

DSO content can't display Chinese character

Hello experts,
I extract data from non-sap system (non-unicode) to BW DSO (7.0 unicode).
The DTP, data extraction and the activation all work fine.
However, the content of the DSO can't display the Chinese character.
Is there any setting I miss?
How can it display Chinese character as the data in source system?
Any information is very appreciated.

Hi,
Make sure Chinese Language Patch applied on BW system. You can see Chinese does not mean Chinese Language Patch applied.
However, even if Language Patch is not applied, you still can see Chinese in reports via Portal.

Problem in displaying Arabic Character in Paper Layout

Hi
I am facing problem while displaying arabic characters.
In Web layout i am able to get it by changing the character set to ISO-8259-6.
I had changed the NLS parameters in registry as suggested in the help. But still i am unable to get. Please can anyone send the brief steps to fix this.

Ranganath,
That means subsetting is not happening. If subsetting had been successful, you would have seen in "Font properties", the type of font as Type 3 and name of the font as Fx, where x could be 0,1 etc.
The things I suspect are: 1) your report definition has some other font associated which is not Arial.
2) You are not specifying correctly the subset information in uifont.ali.
Open your report in builder and check again, what font you are using to display the data. Open the report in paper layout and click on the data field and check in the font box, the font name that is displayed.
In your uifont.ali, make sure that under [PDF:Subset] section, you specify (if you are using Arial font)
Arial = "arial.ttf".
If you have any other entry regarding Arial in other sections of uifont.ali, comment those for the time being by putting # before those.
Let me know the font properties after these steps.

when i export the oracle table into microsoft excel,the excel can display chinese character normally.
but when i write code in asp.The IE can not display the chinese character?

Display Arabic Character in NetScape Navigator

Hi
I am using Oracle Forms & Reports 10g R2. I call a report through a button in that report there are English and Arabic Character. When i see report in Netscape Navigator 9 English character show fine but Arabic Character does not showing properly.
If I check this report inside report builder Arabic Character show fine.
I also try by setting 'Character Encoding' = (ARABIC WINDOWS 1256) in NetScape Navigator 9, but no luck.
Please help me how to solve this issue.

How can I display Chinese Character correctly in JSP

Dear Expert,Now I develop web application which using CR report, the development tool is IBM RAD(rational) and the database is DB2 UTF-8. Because need user to input something in JSP, so the programmer use "GB2312" to convert to insert into the database. But when I create the crystal report and view in the web, the Chinese character can't disply correctly, like "???????", even I formated the font in report, doesn't work too.And I set the report JSP charset to "GB2312" or "UTF-8", both of them failed. Hi Steven, It sounds like you are on the right track to get the Chinese data to appear up correctly in the report. Can you tell me if you are using the JSF viewer or the JSP viewer?From what the developers are telling me the following should work:For JSP viewers to set content type correctly you can either use <%@ page contentType="text/html;charset=UTF-8" %> Or response.setContentType("text/html;charset=UTF-8âu20AC) or simply call viewer.setOwnPage(true); if it not necessary to blend with other pages. For JSF viewer the third option is not available.What does your JSP page code look like? Also, what does the output look like?Finally, one last thing is to ensure that the font you are using in the report is available to the engine at runtime. This will mean that it wll need to be installed on the application server where your JSP page is running. Give this a try and let me know what you find. Fctix can't display Chinese character correctly

After last system upgrade,my gnome-shell updates from 3.8.1 to 3.8.2,then I find some character in the fcitx window is replaced by squares,as shows in here.

I suppose there's something wrong with the font,since gnome-terminal also has the problem and I change its font from "Inconsolata" to "WenQuanYi" thus fix it.
Same problem also occur in my chromium bookmarks folder names and the chromium title bars,and after change some system font through gnome-tweak-tool,it seems that everything is OK.
But all of these can't fix the problem of fcitx.
I am confused and can't figure out what the system upgrade changes my system config.
I also wonder how can I change the Chinest font of fcitx,for the fcitx-configtool just open ~/.config/fcitx/config but I don't know how to edit it!There is no item about "font"!

I have MessagesBundle_ar_AE.properties file created containing key,equivalent Arabic value text. When I try to get this key value by using Bundle object.. MissingResourceException is occuring. It says can't find resource for bundle,PropertyResourceBundle for specified key, eventhough the exists in the .properties file...

Cannot display Thai. character in List box elements

I have set the Fonts to Ms San Serif to all items in a form, all items seems can display Thai. character correctly. For List box, it can display Thai also, but the elements in the selections cannot.
Does any expert know how to fix this ?

While opening log file from tool --> copy option Arabic character showing as junk character.Below are the detail of our nls characterset.This looks like a browser issue. What is your browser? Can you view Arabic correctly from your browser (View > Encoding)?

Unicode character can't display in smartforms.

When I type some unicode character (like ổ ữ...) into a text in smartforms, that character can't display it converted to "?". I don't know how to display it.

Make sure you use Cyrillic fonts for displaying unicode characters.
Mostly, if you preview this character on non-unicode enable printer it may display as junk character.

Ah, that explains why i see "European Set"....
One question, Doug: Obviously, you can select only the localization there. Is this PostScript Characters for all languages? Or is it possible to switch to something like true types, e.g. "Wingdings"? (I know, bad example, but i hope you get the point)

Printing '#' character instead of any arabic character

Hello all,
I managed to install apache fop for printing on my Apex instance 4.0.2 to print in pdf,my application is in arabic,when I print all Arabic characters are represented with '#' sign instead of the character itself in the pdf file!!!!!
I think apache fop is not recognizing the Arabic characters,how can I resolve this?
