My N82 is behaving very badly can someone please a...
Lately I find that my N82 has been giving alot of problems. It keeps shutting down. And now for what ever reason my calendar has gone completely blank .. all the dates are missing and I'm hoping that doesn't mean I've lost all the birthdays, anniversaries and meetings I've had programmed in.
Another thing I've noticed.. the right hand nav. key was supposed to be the short cut for voice activated dialling.. but everytime I press the phone shuts down.
Can someone please let me know what is going on??

you can try few things before you go to nokia care point. first of you have to back up all your data from phone and memory card. remove the memory card once that is done and try the following things. try number 1 and 2. #2 will erase all your data but will reformat your phone and it might help your issue
1. *#7780# - Restore factory settings - resets all the settings to the default ( you will not lose any data)
Make sure you back up your data as you will lose all of it when you perform option 2 or 3 on this list.
2. *#7370# - Reformat your phone
3. This you perform as a last resort. Nothing else is working.If the phone is dead proceed with reflash if not, turn off your phone, hold the following buttons while pressing the power button. (the default code is 12345)
re-flash - hold the following buttons *, 3 (number button) and talk/green key. turn on the phone and do not release those buttons until you see the Nokia boot up screen. once you feel the phone power up you can let go off the power button while still holding all three buttons
If these codes are not working the only thing for you to do is contact your Nokia Care Center/Service.

I take it you tried using the "right click" menu? That doesn't seem to work, as you noted, but, you should be able to paste text by pressing your CTRL key and while holding it down, press the "V" letter key.
CTRL + C = COPY
CTRL + X = CUT
CTRL + V = PASTE

Hi - I downloaded DC Copy to use to transfer some photos from my PC to my I pad. The instructions on U tube by an Apple Tech person were not very clear.

You can install Windows on Boot Camp or a virtual machine > https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3321
If you decide to use a virtual machine, install Parallels, VMware Fusion or VirtualBox. You can install the Windows version you want.
If you decide to use Boot Camp, you can install a 64-bit Windows 7 or 8. In both cases, you have to use a System Builder or full Windows 7 or 8 version, which you can buy at Amazon or NewEgg. You will need an external disc drive.

My Macbook pro is acting Crazy....the Cursor just keeps on jumping everywhere and not responding when I use the trackpad....Even when it does respond it is very slow...I thought it was the trackpad acting up but realized it wasnt when i plugged in a mouse and it still did the same thing...this happened one other time and shortly after my computer froze...I had to restart for it to work but restarting dosent help this time...can someone please help?...Is this a Virus?

As to what it might be, that's hard to say. You should try some basic troubleshooting... Repair the hard drive with disk utility. Boot in safe mode and see if it happens then, log in to a different user account and see if it happens there, reboot from another system and see if it happens.
Apparently some people have had this kind of problem caused by swelling batteries that push on the underside of the trackpad and cause all kinds of strange problems. Is your machine's underside deformed at all?

I bought this very nice iMac. The first time I ever use a Apple product. Can someone please tell me where the delete key is on the keyboard. I cannot think for one moment that Apple did not provide for such a key. Please help.
The delete key does a backward delete because it is the natural way to delete while typing. May not be to you and the millions of youngsters who grew up with windows computers. When you are typing and want to delete that which you just typed you are already at the end and you delete back to where you want to re-type. When you go back to a document and want to delete a selection, you have to go to the end of the selection instead of the beginning. it's just the way its always been done on macs. it takes some getting use to.
If you select text to be deleted with your mouse then the delete key deletes the selected text. same for either delete key method.
It is not convenient when you tab to fields in a form. That why fn-delete does a forward delete.
Macs have a couple of keyboards. The small "wireless keyboard" only has the (backward) delete (fn-delete forward). The larger "Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad" has both a Delete (backwards) key beside the = abd it has the "delete >" key in the groups with fn, home, end, Pg up and Pg dn. This keyboard is best for users who have switched from windows or are familiar with the windows forward delete. -
Very fustrating. Can someone please help?
I am unable to open Itunes or quicktime on my computer. When I click on it the little hour glass shows (Itunes does not show up in the task manager though when I am trying to open the program) and then I get an error message "Itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for any inconvenience" I have tryed uninstalling and reinstalling several times. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Okay so I would like to thank all the people who viewed my post but couldn't offer any help. I fixed the problem on my own. For those of you who have the same problem I did. Here is how I did it.
1) Go into Add/Remove programs and remove the apple programs. There should be two of them. Then remove Bonjour. Then remove quicktime. Then remove Itunes.
2) Go into Program files and delete the above mentioned files.
3) Go to the start menu and hit search and search for quicktime and itunes. Delete whatever files come up in the search window.
4) Download quicktime separately from itunes
5) Then download itunes.
And it works now. Or it should. Mine did. -
Can someone please explain and help me? I am unlocking an iphone4 from at&t to use it on the straight talk network. They've confirmed my request to do this and I am now a little confused as to what to do next. They want me to back up the phone using itunes on either a MAC or PC. I do not have an aplle computer but I do have an acer. Sooo, can I use it to do this? Or do I even have to do this to unlock and switch the iphone4 over to a new network? Install iTunes on your Acer and you can back up the iPhone. Or back it up to iCloud. If you do not back it up you can get it unlocked, but you will lose all of your content.

Even after unlocking I'm not sure it will work on Straight Talk, because last time I checked ST used Verizon as its carrier, and an AT&T iPhone 4 is not compatible with Verizon's network. You can probably use it on Net 10 or T-Mobile once it is unlocked. -
Hi I recently upgraed to iOS 6.1 on my Iphone 5. After the upgrade, it was all good. Over the weekend I went Austria for Ski. While taking the photos, I simply locked the phone and kept it my pocket as I had to go. After sometime when I opened my phone, I could hardly see anything. I tried to unlock with pin and tried restarting with great difficulty. But nothing worked. Coming back home today, I have tried restore the software and still no luck. I have tried restore almost 5 to 6 times, but the screen is still blank. I dont know if what state it is in and I can not do anything to fix it. I am very annoyed with the support service as they can not be reached on Sunday evening.
I could manage to book a call tomorrow but I have lot of work over next few days at work. Can someone please help how to fix this issue now? Any suggestions will be much apperciated.

I would to a Restore. Select the iPod in iTunes. Go to the Summary tab for the iPod. There is a button there to do a Restore. This will erase the iPod, re-install its software, and set it to default settings. After Restore complete, try playing songs on the iPod again.
If THAT does not fix the problem, and it's not bad headphones (since you also tried the "speaker"), there is probably a hardware problem on the iPod. All 7th gen nanos are still under warranty. If you have an Apple Store nearby, you should take it to the store's Genius Bar. To minimize waiting, you can make a reservation on store's web page.

In the libary of iPhoto I do have double pictures only in the year 2006. Can someone please tell me how to remove the double pictures. I did rebuilt the libary but that solution did not help me any further.
I think the warning is very clear.
What warning? Where do you say that this plan you suggest will lose at least some, and possibly a whole lot of metadata, plus the original files of edited photos. This is significant dataloss. And you should warn people that this is the case.
While your metadata and originals may not be important to you, that is not necessarily the case for other users.

This is nonsense. The iPhoto Library has no need of "cleaning" and certainly not in any way that trashes a whole lot of data.
I'm very impressed that you assess the application based on the sound of the name. It's not a common way to review applications, but I'm sure it has some merit.
FWIW it has been recommended on this - and other - sites for many years and has proven safe and effective.

It's called a dock connector, not a USB port.
i found a product in the online store, that i guess you place the ipod mini on, and it gives you up to 20 or so more hours of time but then it says that you have to have a firewire port or cable?
What is it? The firewire port is on the computer, not the iPod.
If the original battery is going bad, the first thing to do is get that sorted out. -
Can someone please tell me what I have done wrong>? Obviously I am new to iweb, and need help. I recently built a website in iweb with only 5 pages, and I made the height, width, & all of the specs regarding the page size exactly the same, but they all load as different sizes on the website. Small consolation : iWeb is a very advanced piece of software. So advanced that even highly skilled professionals have difficulty understanding and using it.
Anyway, your pages are NOT the same size by design. Which can clearly be seen. But also by checking the source of the pages.
The Home page is 665px wide and the Contact page is 820px wide. That doesn't happen by magic. It's user induced.
So do what I do : pay attention to every tiny detail. Especially when it's your business. No excuse.

I have iPad 4th Generation with iOS 6.1.3 Since my iBooks was updated to version 3.1.1 I cannot open pdf file attachment in my email. When I tap of the attachment, the iBooks icon no longer show itself. Can someone please help?

Reset the device did not help me but it does triggers me to attempt to resend the PDF file attachment on email--and it works the 2nd time. My problem is now solved.
The Adobe Reader is very helpful--it allows me to scroll through the document easily, unlike iBooks, where I cannot scroll straight up or down. -
I downloaded FF 4 and now 5 and with neither my screen looks nothing like it shows on the FF page. For instance, I do not have the orange FF tab in the upper left corner, I have no option of "pin as app" nor do I have Panorama. Can someone please help me?
To get the orange FF tab, go to View > Toolbars > Menu Bar. This should uncheck the menu bar and give you the orange button.
Panorama is a box made of 4 grey rectangles that should be on the far right, if it isn't after you enable the orange FF tab, right click on anywhere on a tool bar that doesn't have anything on it, and you should get a menu with a list of your tool bars that you can check and uncheck. go down to customize at the very bottom and it will open a window with all your buttons. Find the panorama/tab groups button and drag it onto the tool bar of your choice.
to pin a tab as an app, right click on it; it's an option in the right-click menu.
