After a hard reset, my N97 is no longer able to send outgoing e-mail through my Gmail account. I had to set up my e-mail account again on the N97 after the hard reset. I created the e-mail settings with the mailbox guide. I can retrieve my e-mail messages but I am no longer able to send a new e-mail message.
Now, when I create a new e-mail message (Options, Create message, E-mail) and I select "Send" after creating the message, the N97 keeps trying to connect to my mailbox and gives up after several minutes.
Before the hard reset, I had no problems receiving and sending e-mail messages on my N97, using my Gmail account. What should I do to make it send new e-mail messages?

Sounds like something is wrong in your settings,
Either delete the account from your phone and set it up again or use the G-Mail website help to find the correct settings and manualy check and adjust your phones outgoing settings to match

I already tried those without working. I have deleted the account from my phone and set it up again. Also, I used the G-Mail website Help to find the correct settings and manualy check and adjust my phone's outgoing settings to match. It is not sending the outgoing e-mail messages. I keep getting this notice: Connecting to mailbox. After a while it stops without sending the e-mail message.
It wasn't like that before the hard reset.

Up until last week, I was able to send outgoing e-mail from my me.com account. Now, I can't. I read somewhere that if you were away and connected to another server and then put the computer to sleep, that could be the problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Install ClamXav and run a scan with that. It should pick up any trojans.

I want to ensure you're able to stay connected using your Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD! When did this problem begin? In what zip code are you experiencing this? Do you get an error message when attempting to send a text? Are you using a downloaded text messaging application or are you using the preinstalled text messaging application?

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Can you send email from that account on another device?
- You can try deleing the account from the iPod and reentering the settings.

In order to send SMS messages (to non-iPhone/iPad users), you need to have your iPad connected to an iPhone. Both devices need to be logged into the same Apple ID. On the iPhone, go to Settings>Messages>Text Message Forwarding and select your iPad.

I'm not able to send emails with mail.ru. Receiving and reading is not a problem. When I create a email with mail.ru its not possible to send it although its stored in my mail.ru account as "still to be send". What can it be??

E71: no longer able to send via Nokia Email

I just upgraded to 200.21.118 on my e71-2 RM-357 (in spite of all the talk, only this firmware was available).
I can no longer very easily send an email through Nokia Email. Before, I was able to select an entry through the Contacts app, choose 'Send email', and Nokia Email would have been an option to send an email through. Now I only have the choice of the default Messaging application and the accounts I have set up through that.
Similarly, I was with my version 100 firmware able to launch the email client if I configured one of the hotkeys to 'send a message.' Now, the only emails that can be sent are through the default client.

Hi there!
I suggest the following steps:
1) Dial *228 and select Option 1. Dial it again and select Option 2.
2) Register HRT
Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now
3) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
4) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your BIS conduits for the affected email accounts.

ipad is no longer sending sms messages. I've tried resetting network and rebooting. my husband has iPad and he's able to send sms messages. checked his settings against mine and they seem to have same settings. I'm at a loss and need help.

DVR no longer able to send an email

Hello.
I have a WRT54G connected to a Zytel 660R DSL modem. Prior to my issue, the modem was configured as a router and my CCTV DVR was able to send me an email. I reconfigured the modem to be a bridge with port forwarding setup in the WRT54G, I did this so I was able to connect remotely to my DVR to view my cameras. Once I did this, I lost the ability to receive emails from the DVR.
I verified that the emails can still be sent by reconfiguring the modem as a router. So, I'm pretty sure that there is a setting I'm missing within the router that has disabled the emails.
I'd appreciate any thoughts you might have on this topic.

You need to login to the setup page of the Router and under "Application and Gaming" tab you will find Port Forwarding.
Application Name   Start Port   End Port   Protocol IP address Check box.
DVR1                      110           110          Both      IP of DVR    Enable
DVR2                       25             25           Both      IP of DVR     Enable
Once you are done with the settings, then click on save settings..
Now check if you are able to receive mail or not.

I am no longer able to send emails from within iPad apps.

I always used to be able to send files with attachments by email from within iPad apps like Adobe Reader or Pages. Used to work but now it doesn't - and this for all apps all at once. It gets to the point where it has prepared the email, but if you press send, it says "Could not save or send message". It also doesn't matter which email account I use - result always the same. It's a real pain as this was a good way of editing a word file and then emailing it to myself.

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray BEFORE doing the reset.
